요양보호사의 치매태도와 돌봄행위 간의 관계에서 공감역량의 매개효과 (Relationship between Caregiver's Dementia Attitude and Care Behavior: The Mediating Effect of Compassion Competence)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate compassion competence and its mediating effects on the relationship between attitudes toward dementia and care behavior among caregivers of older adults with dementia in nursing homes. Methods: 211 participants were recruited for this cross-sectional study. Data were collected from February 1st to May 24th, 2023, through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis and the bootstrapping method. Results: The mean score for care behavior was 3.67±0.97 (range 1~5). Caring behaviors were significantly associated with attitudes toward dementia (r=.76, p<.001) and compassion competence (r=.75, p<.001). Using Baron and Kenny's approach and PROCESS Macro model 4, care behavior was directly affected by dementia attitude (β=.76, p<.001). Compassion competence (β=.66, p<.001) was directly affected by dementia attitude. The partial mediating effects of compassion competence (β=.47, p<.001, 95% confidence interval 0.10~0.23) on the impact of dementia attitude on care behavior was confirmed. Conclusion: The results suggest that compassion competence should be considered when developing nursing interventions to enhance dementia-related attitudes and improve care behavior among caregivers of older adults with dementia.

중년의 삶의 의미와 회복력과의 관계 : 자아존중감의 매개효과 (The Relationship between Meaning in life and Resilience in Middle-aged adults : Mediating effect of Self-esteem)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중년의 삶의 의미와 회복력과의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과를 조사하기 위함이다. 45-64세 중년 148명을 대상으로 2019년 5월부터 6월까지 자료를 수집하였으며, 연구도구는 삶의 의미, 자아존중감, 회복력이었다. 자료분석은 SPSS/WIN 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, 다중회귀분석으로 하였다. 연구결과로, 일반적 특성과 관련한 회복력의 차이는 연령, 종교, 건강에서 유의미했다. 삶의 의미, 자아존중감, 회복력 간에는 모두 유의미한 양의 상관관계가 있었고, 자아존중감은 삶의 의미와 회복력과의 관계에서 매개효과를 보였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로, 중년의 회복력이 강화되도록 하기 위해 삶의 이미는 물론 자아존중감이 증진되는 프로그램을 개발해야 한다. 이것은 그들이 중년기를 건강하게 보내고 삶의 질이 증진되도록 도움을 줄 것이다.

The Mediating Effects of Learning Motivation on the Association between Perceived Stress and Positive-Deactivating Academic Emotions in Nursing Students Undergoing Skills Training

  • Purpose: Nursing students experience a high degree of perceived stress during skills training. The resulting academic sentiment is worthy of research. This study examined the learning motivation as a mediator in the association between perceived stress and positive deactivating academic emotions in nursing students undergoing skills training. Methods: A survey was conducted on 386 third-year undergraduate nursing students at a university in Changchun, China, in 2017. The survey included the items on perceived stress, learning motivation during nursing skill training, and general academic emotion. There were 381 valid responses (response rate=98.7%). Based on the results of partial correlation and stepwise multiple regression equations, the study examined the mediation model between perceived stress, learning motivation and positive-deactivating academic emotions using process 2.16 (a plug-in specifically used to test mediation or moderation effect in SPSS). Results: There was a significant negative correlation between students' perceived stress and learning motivation during nursing skills training and positive-deactivating academic emotions. Nervousness, loss of control, and interest in developing reputation had significant predictive effects on positive-deactivating academic emotions. The mediating model was well supported. Conclusion: Learning motivation during nursing skills training lessened the damage of perceived stress on positive-deactivating academic emotions. Improving students' motivation to learn could reduce their perceived stress and build more positive emotions. Positive emotions during learning played an important role in helping nursing students improve skills and enhance their nursing competence.

유아의 기질과 정서조절능력의 관계: 양육스트레스의 매개효과 (The Relationship between Young Children's Temperament and Emotion Regulation: The Mediation Effect of Mother's Parenting Stress)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among young children's temperament, emotional regulation, and their mother's parenting stress. This study also analyzed the mediating effect of mother's parenting stress on the relationship between the other two variables. Methods: A total of 304 mothers with young children that lived in Gwangju and Jeollanamdo participated in this study. The data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient, hierarchical multiple regression analysis, and the Sobel test. Results: The main results are as follows. First, adaptability temperament was positively correlated with children's emotional regulation and negatively correlated with mother's parenting stress. There was no statistically significant relationship between activity temperament and other variables, whereas regularity temperament had only a significant relationship with emotional regulation. Second, it was found that mother's parenting stress partially mediated between children's adaptability temperament and emotional regulation. Conclusion: The results of this study imply that mother's parenting stress is a very important factor on young children's emotional regulation. Also, the present study suggests that children's adaptability temperament and mother's parenting stress should be considered together in order to improve young children's emotional regulation.

교사효능감이 영아의 어린이집 적응에 미치는 영향: 교사-영아 관계의 매개효과 (The Influences of Teacher Efficacy on Infant's Adjustment to Child Care Centers: The Mediated Effect of Teacher-Infant Relationships)

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the mediated effect of teacher-infant relationships between teacher efficacy and infant's adjustment to child care centers. Methods: A total of 137 child care teachers that lived in Gwangju and Jeollanamdo participated in this study. They were asked to answer two survey questionnaires for two infants. The data were analyzed using analysis of frequency, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Results: The main results are as follows. First, teacher-infant relationships partially mediated the relationship between teacher efficacy and two sub-factors (prosocial behavior and day work adjustment) of adjustment in child care centers. Unlikely as it was, several sub-factors such as positive emotion, peer adaptation, and self-strength were fully mediated by teacher-infant relationships. Conclusion: The present study suggests that it is necessary to improve teacher-infant relationships with teacher efficacy in order to improve infants' adaptation to daycare. In addition, it should be understood that the structural relationship of the influence factors is different depending on the sub-factors of the child care adjustment.

사회적지지가 남녀청소년의 학교적응에 미치는 영향: 삶의 만족도의 매개효과 (The Effect of Social Support on Adolescents' School-Related Adjustments: The Mediation Effect of Life Satisfaction)

  • The main purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between social support, life satisfaction, and school-related adjustments of adolescents. The participants were 260 junior high school students (140 male and 120 female students) from the Seoul area. They completed questionnaires on social support, life satisfaction, and school-related adjustments. The collected data were analyzed using basic descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and a multiple regression analysis. Baron and Kenny's method was used and examined, and the Sobel test was performed to determine the mediating model's significance. It was adapted to SPSS ver. 19.0 for Windows. The major findings were as follows: first, social support (parents/teacher/friend) was positively correlated with the adolescents' school-related adjustment. Second, the adolescents' life satisfaction was also positively correlated with the adolescents' school-related adjustments. In addition, social support was positively correlated with life satisfaction. It was further found that the adolescents' life satisfaction tended to play a perfectly/partially mediating role between social support and school-related adjustment; that is, social support (parents/teacher/friend) was shown to have not only a direct effect, but also an indirect effect through the adolescents' life satisfaction, on the school-related adjustments. These results clearly indicated that adolescents' life satisfaction plays a crucial role in the relationship between social support and the adolescents' school-related adjustments.

사회복지 교육과 사회복지 가치 및 옹호의 관계에 관한 연구 (A study of the relationship among the social work educations, values and advocacy)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the Korean social workers' level of social work values, advocacy attitude and advocacy intervention, and to verify the relations among social work education, social work advocacy and social work values by examining whether social work education influences social work advocacy and social work values, and whether social work values affect social work advocacy. Further, this study wishes to confirm not only the direct effect that social work education has on social work advocacy, but also how social work education indirectly influences social work advocacy through social work values on the social level as a mediator. The research of this study was conducted on 461 social work practitioners who have obtained either social worker licenses or mental health social worker licenses and are currently working in the field. As survey tools, this study utilized social work advocacy attitude, social work advocacy intervention, outcomes of social work education, social work values, self-esteem and locus of control. Collected data were analyzed by using SPSS/PC+ 11.5 for one-way ANOVA and t-test, Pearson's correlation, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression. To sum up the results of the study in terms of the research hypothesis, the research hypothesis was established according to the analysis method of the testing mediation of Baron & Kenny (1986) in order to examine whether social work values on the social level intervene between social work education and social work advocacy. The results of the hypothesis test confirm that social work values on the social level serve as a mediator variable.

양육시설 영유아의 일반적 특성과 기질 및 애착안정성이 발달에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of General Characteristics, Temperament, and Attachment on the Development of Young Children in Institutional Care)

  • Objective: This study examined that general characteristics such as gender, age, period of stay at an institution, size of facility, and temperament and attachment affect young children's development under institutional care. Methods: A total of 94 young children (ages 2-4years), who live in 32 institutions in Seoul were assessed on their development using the Korean-Age & Stage Questionnaire. Pearson productmoment correlation analysis, and multiple regression analyses were used for data analysis. Results: The major findings of this study were as follows: first, a longer period of stay at an institution had more positive effects on the development of communication. Facilities with more than 60 children had lower communication, gross motor, and fine motor development compared to facilities with less than 60 children. Second, social temperament had positive effects on communication, problem solving, and personal-social development. Emotional temperament had no effects on all development areas. Third, attachment had positive effects on all development areas. Lastly, social temperament and attachment had interactive effects on communication, gross motor, problem solving, and personal-social development. Conclusion: These results imply that caretakers in institutions should give developmental mediation services for considering temperament and facilitation of attachment.

종합병원 간호사의 사회적 지지가 직무만족도에 미치는 영향: 감성지능의 매개효과 (Influence of Social Support on the Job Satisfaction of Nurses in General Hospitals: Mediating Effect of Emotional Intelligence)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to determine the mediating effect of emotional intelligence on the relationship between the social support and job satisfaction of general hospital nurses. Methods: The data of 197 nurses in general hospitals located in three different cities were collected for analysis. Collected data were analyzed using the t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 23.0. Results: The social support of the subjects showed positive correlations with job satisfaction (r=.56, p<.001) and emotional intelligence (r=.42, p<.001). Emotional intelligence and job satisfaction were positively correlated (r=.54, p<.001). Emotional intelligence was found to perform the partial mediation in the relationship between social support and job satisfaction. Conclusion: To improve job satisfaction, an organizational culture which enhances social support may be required as an intervention strategy, and programs should be developed to induce positive emotional intelligence.

  • Purpose - Leadership style is an important factor in determining the attitude and behavior of employees and their satisfaction with an organization. Contributing the efficiency of an organization, Especially, servant leadership focusing on meeting employees' hopes and desires positively affect success of the organization and performance of employees. In the airline service industry it is necessary to conduct studies for an internal marketing on servant leadership that emphasizes the trust in the dignity of humans and spirit of service to subordinates as a factor affecting the job satisfaction. Research design, data, and methodology -Therefore, in this research, it is empirically analyzed that employees' perception of a supervisor's support plays mediating role in the relationship between employees' perception of servant leadership and perception of an organization's support using multiple and hierarchal regression analysis targeting 243 employees working in D Airline. Result - As a result, Employees' employees' perceived supervisor's support mediates the relationship between employees' perceived servant leadership of a supervisor and employees' perceived organizational support. Conclusions - This study suggests that the servant leadership of a supervisor perceived by employees constitutes an important preceding variable in enhancing the employees' perception on organizational support.
