3D SIMULATIONS OF RADIO GALAXY EVOLUTION IN CLUSTER MEDIA

  • We present a set of high-resolution 3D MHD simulations exploring the evolution of light, supersonic jets in cluster environments. We model sets of high- and low-Mach jets entering both uniform surroundings and King-type atmospheres and propagating distances more than 100 times the initial jet radius. Through complimentary analyses of synthetic observations and energy flow, we explore the detailed interactions between these jets and their environments. We find that jet cocoon morphology is strongly influenced by the structure of the ambient medium. Jets moving into uniform atmospheres have more pronounced backflow than their non-uniform counterparts, and this difference is clearly reflected by morphological differences in the synthetic observations. Additionally, synthetic observations illustrate differences in the appearances of terminal hotspots and the x-ray and radio correlations between the high- and low-Mach runs. Exploration of energy flow in these systems illustrates the general conversion of kinetic to thermal and magnetic energy in all of our simulations. Specifically, we examine conversion of energy type and the spatial transport of energy to the ambient medium. Determination of the evolution of the energy distribution in these objects will enhance our understanding of the role of AGN feedback in cluster environments.

  • The strategy through visual sense is one of the ways that subject builds the outside world and communicates. The visual sense seems higher level of dependence than the other senses and contributes to intercommunication. For this reason, the desire of image dates back to primitive art and visual image(visual media and visual culture) has dialectically developed in the history of mankind. Visual subject, based on perspective of Renaissance, was moved from God to human beings. Andre Bazin's 'la genese automatique' through technical art has epochally changed the paradigm of visual art and visual culture. From primitive art to photo and film, the image, based on visual sense, has reflected human wish, appealed visual desire and led to evolution of image. In the late 20 century, without dialectical evolution of technology and culture, rapidly progressive digital image has changed social and cultural implication over rational strategy of production and distribution and it strengthened authority of image through visual approach of endless desire. The goal of this study is to analyze the value change of digital image developing a new Renaissance through production, reading, communication, and implication of evolution due to digitalized image, which has evolved as object and tool of desire.

  • This study includes literature research and empirical study with the subject of experts in order to anticipate the direction of IPTV evolution, the extension of customer needs, and the technology related to needs themselves. According to the results of the study, it is expected that IPTV will evolve as a converged media platform that integrates the demands of communication, information, and entertainment; and the customer needs for IPTV will be extended from the basic needs for previous TV(high quality and low cost) to 4A(Any Time, Any Where, Any Contents, Any Device) needs. In particular, as the IPTV evolves, the needs for customization(Any Contents needs) will be regarded most importantly among the 4A needs; this implies that what matters is how contents are created and distributed in order for the IPTV to take priority in competition afterwards.

  • The Albuginales (Oomycetes) consist of obligate biotrophic pathogens, none of which is culturable on artificial media. This group causes white blister rust disease in diverse angiosperm plants, including many economically important crops such as sunflower, horseradish, rape, radish, spinach, and wasabi. Recent advances in molecular phylogenetic tools and findings of new morphological characters have advanced our knowledge on their diversity, evolution, and systematics. This review introduces the white blister rusts and discusses recent innovations resulting from studies on Albuginales.

Optimal Design of Piezoelectric Cantilever Fan by Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis

  • As the structure of the piezoelectric bimorph cantilever becomes increasingly more complicated, a more accurate and efficient analysis of piezoelectric media is needed. In this paper, the piezoelectric transducer is analyzed by using the three-dimensional finite element method. The validity of the three-dimensional finite element routine is confirmed by comparing the experimental result. The resonance characteristics, such as resonance frequency and anti-resonance frequency, of the piezoelectric cantilever are calculated by the experimentally verified three dimensional finite element method. Subsequently, the characteristics, such as mechanical displacement and impedance, are calculated at the resonance frequency. Besides, to design the piezoelectric bimorph cantilever shape that maximizes displacement at the tip, the ES (Evolution Strategy) algorithm is applied. Finally, optimal design for the fan of the piezoelectric cantilever is fulfilled to obtain maximum displacement at the tip. From these results, the application potentiality of the piezoelectric bimorph cantilever fan is identified.

  • Hydrogen production in visible light with the following semiconductor systems, $CdS-WO_3$, $CdS-TiO_2$, have been investigated in the presence of redox catalyst (Pt, $RuO_2$). MeOH, EtOH, isopropanol, sulfide/sulfite mixture, lactic acid were used as sacrifical reagents. The optimal condition for $H_2$ evolution was found to be in qgueous lactic acid media for $CdS-WO_3/RuO_2$. The photochemical efficiency for this system was 1.05 % and the $H_2$ evolution rate was 26.5ml/min. at $6.07{\times}10^{-5}$ einstein/sec photon rate

  • We propose a new reliable SVD-based watermarking scheme having high fidelity and strong robustness with no false-positive problem. Each column of the principal component of a watermark image is embedded into singular values of LL, LH, HL and HH sub-bands of cover image with different scale factors. Each scale factor is optimized by trading-off fidelity and robustness using Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm. The proposed scheme improves fidelity and robustness of existing reliable SVD based watermarking schemes without any false-positive problem.   • The latest convergence of broadcasting and communication makes the boundary between medias be ambiguous. It pursues the new type of culture that the unspecified many participants seek the satisfaction for the same target in an realtime environment. ARG(Alternative Reality Game) is a new alternate real game created by media convergence and it processes the more realistic interactivity between users through ARS, SMS, BLOG, Cafe and Messages. This paper analyzes the implementation, design, and construction schemes of ARG in the side of the human thinking and media. We also propose the evolution and role of the broadcasting by combining broadcasting for the activation of ARG.

  • LED lighting is energy in lighting control based on had developed into a human-centered / multi-functional lighting systems from simple one trillion people thereby using environmental change by combining IT technology and software, including a variety of sensor functions and communication functions, depending on the evolution of the IT Convergence Era the reduction, and the strength and the color tone customized illumination of the user-section of light has been desired. For this intelligent lighting system is applied to the sensor and the control center of the user should be possible, and it is necessary for this artist platform of the communication module. In this paper, we propose a communication platform that utilizes Bluetooth BLE module for LED lighting control.

Analysis of Global Media Reporting Trends for K-fashion -Applying Dynamic Topic Modeling- (K 패션에 대한 글로벌 미디어 보도 경향 분석 -다이내믹 토픽 모델링(Dynamic Topic Modeling)의 적용-)

  • This study seeks to investigate K-fashion's external image by examining the trends in global media reporting. It applies Dynamic Topic Modeling (DTM), which captures the evolution of topics in a sequentially organized corpus of documents, and consists of text preprocessing, the determination of the number of topics, and a timeseries analysis of the probability distribution of words within topics. The data set comprised 551 online media articles on 'Korean fashion' or 'K-fashion' published on Google News between 2010 and 2021. The analysis identifies seven topics: 'brand look and style,' 'lifestyle,' 'traditional style,' 'Seoul Fashion Week (SFW) event,' 'model size,' 'K-pop,' and 'fashion market,' as well as annual topic proportion trends. It also explores annual word changes within the topic and indicates increasing and decreasing word patterns. In most topics, the probability distribution of the word 'brand' is confirmed to be on the increase, while 'digital,' 'platform,' and 'virtual' have been newly created in the 'SFW event' topic. Moreover, this study confirms the transition of each K-fashion topic over the past 12 years, along with various factors related to Hallyu content, traditional culture, government support, and digital technology innovation.
