대면적/고정밀 3차원 표면형상의 5자유도 정합법 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of Stitching Algorithm With five Degrees of Freedom for Three-dimensional High-precision Texture of Large Surface)

  • In this paper, a new method is proposed for the five-degree-of-freedom precision alignment and stitching of three-dimensional surface-profile data sets. The control parameters for correcting thealignment error are calculated from the surface profile data for overlapped areas among the adjacent measuring areas by using the "least squares method" and "maximum lag position of cross correlation function." To ensure the alignment and stitching reliability, the relationships betweenthe alignment uncertainty, overlapped area, and signal-to-noise level of the measured profile data are investigated. Based on the results of this uncertainty analysis, an appropriate size is proposed for the overlapped area according to the specimen's surface texture and noise level.

  • A novel set of experimental test tooling for measuring pulling and holding forces for drawbeads on binders inclined at a wide range of angles is introduced. A mechanical design featuring a single load cell, a male-female draw bead set, translation and rotation degrees of freedom, and a screw-driven clamping system has been incorporated into a standard tensile test machine. On a real time basis, restraining and holding force data with respect to draw-in displacement may be directly downloaded into a PC for data processing. The proposed experimental system represents a significant breakthrough in drawbead simulation technology due to its relatively low cost, clever design, and versatility. The system is shown to yield excellent experimental data suitable for verifying theory and numerical model predictions.

  • Average pressure in a pipe network is one of critical factors to estimate the flow distribution and to calculate UARL (Unavoidable Annual Real Losses) value in ILI (Infrastructure Leakage Index). While its collection period and measuring location are essential to obtain average pressure, their standard method have not been established so far. In this study, proper method including its procedure for data collection period and measuring point for average pressure were suggested using non-exceedance probability concept in the water distribution network.

선반 주축의 회전운동 정도 측정 (Measuring of Rotational Accuracy of Lathe Spindle)

  • It is important to measure the rotational accuracy of lathe spindle as it affects to the qualities of all machines machined by the lathe using in industries. The bad rotational accuracy of lathe spindle are caused mainly by wearness of the spindle in using and quality of spindle when machining and using low level bearings. It occurs especially in case of lathes because the cutting force acting to work-piece act on one side to the spindle not to both sides symmetrically. Therefore in this study, constructing experimental apparatus for measuring of rotational accuracy by using eddy current type gap sensors AEC5706PS and sensors, s-06LN, data acquisition board DT9834(USB type) and software for data acquisition, DT Measure Foundry ver. 4.0.7 etc., error data acquired in the rotational accuracy test of lathe spindle are analysed in plots and statistical treatments.

  • In this study, on-line measuring system were developed to verify performances and functions of traction system that are used in KTX(Korea Train eXpress) synthetically and efficiently, and have been measuring electric signals of vehicle as well as mechanical signals up to the present. Running-braking measuring equipment was constructed in vehicle to optimize signal acquisition and analysis ability of the measuring system. Measurement data of signal were performed acquisition, analysis and evaluation using this equipment. KRRI(Korea Railroad Research Institute) described about main specifications of measuring equipment. Also, the structure and principles as well as main circuit system were explained in brief. KRRI analyzed the characteristics comparing design values with experimental values about running distance, running time and positive acceleration for KTX is running in full traction. We analyzed the distance and time according to number of motor block. In result, running characteristics of traction system in KTX were verified and could be evaluated.

  • This paper describes the design and fabrication of high frequency ground impedance measuring system for assessment of grounding system for Lightning protection. The ground impedance measuring system has been designed and fabricated which makes it possible to assess the ground impedance by frequency ranges from 100 Hz to 1 MHz. The effective grounding systems having a very low impedance to electromagnetic disturbance such as lightning surges and noises in microelectronics and high-technology branches are strongly required. In order to analyze the dynamic characteristic of grounding system impedances in lightning and surge protection grounding systems, it is highly desirable to assess the ground impedances as a measure of performance of grounding system in which lightning and switching surge currents with fast rise time and high frequency flow. The measuring system is based on the variable frequency power supply and consists of signal circuit part, main control part, data acquisition and processing unit, and voltage and current probe system. The ground impedance measuring system can be used to assess grounding system during occurrence of lightning.

가변 사판식 압축기의 탑 클리어런스 측정 방법 및 신뢰성 확보에 관한 연구 (Study on the Measuring Method and Reliability of Top Clearance of Variable Swashplate Type Compressor)

  • In this experimental study, the effects of top clearance on the performance of automotive a/c compressor were studied. Top clearance measuring device was also developed to ensure the reliability using vacuum conditions to secure constant control of top clearance without external environmental influence. Our results revealed that the improvements in compressor performance according to different top clearance values using the same compressor and same operator were about 4.12% at 800 rpm and about 7.8% at 2,000 rpm in 0.243~0.252 mm of top clearance compared to 0.431~0.456 mm of top clearance. To confirm the consistency in measuring top clearance affecting compressor performance, the top clearance measuring device was developed in this study using a vacuum pump. After performing reliable tests repeatedly, the distribution of measuring values under this device was within 0.99~1.83%, indicating that the constant test data in compressor performance was not affected by any other external environment.

레이저를 이용한 기울기 측정 장치 및 이의 제어 방법 개발 (Development of Non-Adhesive, Non-Contact Inclinometer Slope Laser Measuring (ISLM) System and its Control Algorithm)

  • This study develops a new device system for measuring a slope of object with non-adhesive, non-contact and non-face-to-face, namely Inclinometer Slope Laser Measuring (ISLM), that is applicable in the field. This system includes cradle, laser, camera, and computer and the filming and is performed after laser projection at programmed intervals. After measuring the amount of displacement converted to numerical values, these values can then be transferred to the office using the selected data transmission method. The obtained results from the test carried out to verify the reliability of the ISLM system indicated that the ISLM system can measure with accurately level of 0.1mm/Pixel at 1m distance and when increasing the camera resolution, the precision might increase proportionally. Therefore, the proposed measure system may widely apply on-site for various constructions, especially, in the case of object with very high surface temperature where exhibits difficulty to directly measure the adjacent structures. However, due to the sensitive reaction to the illuminance, this method can be applied with caution at times of large changes in illuminance, such as at dawn and at dusk.

  • 엘리베이터의 자체점검과 정기검사, 완성검사, 정밀안전검사 등은 엘리베이터 운행을 위한 중요 검사로써 엘리베이터의 성능 및 안정성을 평가하는 기초 자료다. 자체점검 및 안전검사항목에 엘리베이터의 진동에 관한 사항에 대해서는 특별히 명시되어 있지 않으나 진동은 여러 가지 분석 자료를 제공해 줄 수 있는 필수요소로 되어있다. 엘리베이터의 진동을 측정하기 위한 "EVA-625"라는 장비는 컴퓨터로 데이터를 읽어 숙련된 엔지니어에 의해 측정된 값을 분석할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 3축 가속도 센서를 이용하여 엘리베이터의 진동을 측정하여 데이터를 송신 받을 수 있는 하드웨어와 시스템 설계 플랫폼 및 개발환경인 LabVIEW의 G 그래픽 프로그래밍 언어를 이용하여 수집되는 데이터를 분석할 수 있는 소프트웨어를 설계하고 구현하였다.
