선박조직은 육상과 일정기간 격리된 상황에서 육상조직과의 커뮤니케이션을 업무를 수행하고 있으므로, 해상-육상간의 커뮤니케이션이 중요하다. 그런데 해운기업의 육상조직과 선박조직 사이에는 육상조직의 일방적 커뮤니케이션의 문제점과 부정적 결과들이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구는 선박조직과 육상의 선박관리 부서 간에 이루어지는 커뮤니케이션과 갈등의 문제를 선박조직과 육상부서 양쪽 집단을 대상으로 진단하고 분석하여 객관적이며 종합적으로 규명해 보고자 하였다. 해운기업의 선박조직과 육상 선박관리 부서간의 커뮤니케이션에 따르는 부정적 영향으로서 집단 간 갈등에 주목하여 커뮤니케이션과 집단 간 갈등의 수준과 갭을 측정하여 이들의 관계를 규명하고, 집단 간 갈등이 선박조직의 조직몰입과 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 선박조직과 육상부서의 상대집단과의 커뮤니케이션 활성화 정도는 상대집단과의 집단 간 갈등에 통계적으로 유의미한 부(-)의 영향을 미치며, 상대집단에 대한 집단 갈등은 선박조직의 조직몰입과 직무만족에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 양쪽 집단의 커뮤니케이션과 집단 간 갈등의 갭 분석에서 있어서는 커뮤니케이션이 모두 활성화되어 인식 차이가 적은 그룹에서 집단 간 갈등의 인식 수준이 낮았으며, 집단 간 갈등의 인식차이가 낮은 그룹의 선박조직 조직몰입도와 직무만족도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 해운기업의 선박조직과 육상의 선박관리부서는 양쪽 모두의 원활한 커뮤니케이션을 통해 상대집단과의 갈등을 줄이고 선박조직 구성원의 조직몰입도와 직무만족도를 제고하여야 할 것이다.

According to the NOx level requirement of annex Vl to IMO(International Maritime Organization) MARPOL 73/78, this regulation shall apply to each diesel engine with a power output of more than 130 ㎾ which is installed on a ship constructed and undergoes a major conversion on or after 1 January 2000. It is inevitable to adopt IMO standard for marine engines. Therefore, most of diesel engines which are being currently built should be tested and surveyed in accordance with the NOx technical code. In this study, various technics of NOx reduction methods were investigated for the diesel engines and the methods of NOx measuring were introduced by the new and simplified field detecting equipment. These results can be utilized for the basic design and developement of diesel engine for NOx reduction.

Revision of KS, Korean Standards, is currently actively discussed. It is just the time for a new world class standards under the new system with WTO, World Trade Organization. This paper is a part of "Researches on the Standards in the Building Acoustic Field", as one of KS revision projects. The aim of this study is to define the requirements for measuring the reverberation time of rooms with reference to other acoustical parameters. In the former KS, there is no items matched with this purpose. Therefore measuring reverberation time and other room acoustical parameters with confidential test procedure was impossible. On these basis, a new part of KS is proposed, and some problems remained and further discussions in the proposed draft are described in this study.

The purpose of this study is to develop a ratio scale measuring organizational charateristics in nursing. 599 staff nurses working at 10 educational hospitals in Seoul were participated during the period from July 1 to July 31, 1985. Subjects were instructed to rate at one to five points likert type scale according to the level of positive characteristics affecting the nursing organizational effectiveness. As a result of factor analysis given to 50 items with varimax rotation and rearrangement on the asis of factor loading 0.3, there are 4 factors consisted of 33 items presented: factor 1 : leadership of head nurses and interaction(11 items) factor 2 : leadership of supervisors and top managers(11 items) factor 3 : interaction with supervisors(5 items) factor 4 : organizational climate(6 items) Reliability of the factors were tested by Cronbach's Alpha, and the result was α=0.67∼0.84 Further studies are needed to identify the relationship between this tool and the effectiveness of various organization in nursing.

Biological diversity, also known as biodiversity, is an important criterion for measuring the value of an ecosystem. As biodiversity is closely related to human welfare and quality of life, many efforts to restore and maintain the biodiversity of species have been made by government agencies and non-governmental organizations, thereby drawing a substantial amount of international attention. In the fields of biological research, biodiversity is widely measured using traditional statistical indices such as the Shannon-Wiener index, species richness, evenness, and relative dominance of species. However, some biologists and ecologists have difficulty using these indices because they require advanced mathematical knowledge and computational techniques. Therefore, we developed VBioindex, a user-friendly program that is capable of measuring the Shannon-Wiener index, species richness, evenness, and relative dominance. VBioindex serves as an easy to use interface and visually represents the results in the form of a simple chart and in addition, VBioindex offers functions for long-term investigations of datasets using time-series analyses.

Measurements of circular motion accuracy of NC lathe have achieved with ball bar systems proposed by Bryan, but the ball bar systems have ifluenced on the measuring data by way of the accuracy of the balls and the contacts of balls and bar seats. Therefore in this study, error data during of circular motion of ATC(Automatic Tool Changer) of NC lathe will be acquired by reading zx plane coordinates using two optical linear scales. Two optical linear scales of measuring unit are fixed on z-x plane of NC lathe, and the moving part is fixed to ATC and then is made to receive data of coordinates of the ATC at constant time intervals using tick pulses comming out from computer. And then, error data files of radial direction of circular motion are calculated with the data read, and the aspect of circular motion are modeled to plots, and are analysed by means of statistical treatments of circularity, means, standard deviations etc.

The objective of this paper is to develop a knowledge assets measurement model in Korea. There are relatively many researches on measuring knowledge assets of an organization. These previous researches, however, lack of comprehensive view of knowledge management and view of Korean organizational culture. We surveyed and analyzed previous researches, and found common factors to measure knowledge assets. We developed an updated version of knowledge assets index. The developed model has been validated for its fitness with real data of Korean companies. The result of this research can be used as a measurement tool for knowledge assets of public institutions as well as private companies.

Objectives: This study investigated to the analytical work environment, analyst's expert and status of analytical instrument in the designated organization's laboratory for measuring work environment, and carried out to ensure reliability of analytical results. Methods: This study was conducted by 114 analysts who work in designated organization's laboratory for measuring work environment. Information on the working environment and personal characteristics of the analysts were collected using a self-reported questionnaire and were analyzed using the SPSS program through analysis of frequency and t-test. Results: The speciality of subjects was occupational health(57.0%), environmental health(38.6%) and environmental engineering(4.4%), and they had a higher level of academic ability than workers in other industries. Analysts had to handle a large number of sample analysis and many tasks other than analytical work. The analysts answered that it was difficult to analyze organic substances than inorganic substances, and the difficult parts were the analytical methods setting of new substances(55.3%), instrument analysis(24.6%) and principle of analysis(23.7%). Analytical instruments mainly have legally required instruments. The difficulty of the analysis is solved from the senior analyst in the laboratory and analytical information is mainly exchanged through seminar organized by the Association of Occupational Health Analysts. The analysts who are planning to move or considering the company were 48.2%, and the reasons for moving the company were difficult to work(14.0%), low salary(9.6%), employment type(8.8%) and job stress(7.0%). Conclusions: The conclusions of our study were that it was possible to secure reliability by solving the problems such as implementing professional education to improve expertise of analysts, strengthening analytical instruments through institutional improvement and improving work environment.

In the early industrial age which with high intensity of machine and labor, using financial measurement index was good enough to tie in company's mechanization and philosophy of management and been in efficiency. But being comply with "New Economic age," a new economic environment is full of knowledge and information, the enterprise competition had changed from tangible assets, plants to intangible innovation ability of knowledge. As recognizing the new tendency by enterprise, they value gradually the growth and influence from learning. Practice of organization learning not only needs firm structure and be in coordination with both hardware and software, but also needs an affect measurement model to offer enterprise to estimate learning performance. It's a good instrument of financial performance measure mold in the past years, But it's for measuring the past, couldn't formulate enterprise trend to future, hard to estimate investment for future, such as development of products, organization learning, knowledge management etc, as which intangible assets and knowledge ability just the key factors of being win around competition environment in the future. In 1992, Kaplan and Norton brought up Balance Scorecard (BSC) on Harvard Business Review, as an instrument helping enterprise to measure performance, which is being considered to be a most influence management instrument. It added non-financial index such as customer, internal process and learning growth besides traditional financial index, as offering enterprise an index to measure and manage intangible assets and intellectual property. As being aware of organization learning is hard to be ignored in the new economic age, this research is based on learning and growth of BSC, and citing one national material company try to let the most difficult measurement performance of organization learning, to be estimate through BSC, analyze of factor and individual case, to discuss the company how to make the related strategy and vision of organization learning to develop learning and growth of the structure of BSC, subject the matter of out put factors to be discussed, and measure the outcomes as a result of research. The research affect offers (1) the base implement procedure of carrying out BSC; (2) the reference of formulating measurement index while enterprise using BSC to estimate performance of organization learning; (3) the possibility bottleneck maybe forcing while carrying out BSC, to be an improvement or preventive for enterprise.
