Discharge data examine the process of hydrologic cycle and used significantly in water resource planning and irrigation and flood control planning. It makes high quality discharge data, they carry out research on standard and method of discharge measurement, and equipment improvement. Now various flow meters are utilized to make discharge data in Korea. However, accuracy of equipment and exprerimental research data from measurement are not enough. ADCP(Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) have been introduced and utilized for flow measurements since the end of 1980's. ADCP flow method is a formal method for flow measurement can easily applyd to relatively large rivers gradually recognized. This equipment can measure the non-contact three-dimensional velocity and water depth data very quickly and efficiently. Also, spatial and temporal resolution of the data is more accurate than any other flow measurement methods which measure flow rate by velocity - area measurement method. In this paper, the velocity is measured using various flow meter and verified the effectiveness by applying from the ADCP in Geum-river. Various flow meters which are med for discharge measurements are VALEPORT002, FLOW TRACKER, PRICE AA and ADCP. The average of five times flow measurement result by ADCP was $10.412m^3/s$, with a standard deviation of 0.68. The repeat test by ADCP and comparison between ADCP and other flow devices to verify the most import factor, flow measurement accuracy. In the result, repeat test of the ADCP showed similar values, flow values were similar to other velocity device results and the average error is 7.7%.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the validity and reproducibility of a method based on cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) technology for the visualization and measurement of gingival soft-tissue dimensions. Material and Methods: A total of 66 selected points in soft-tissue of the ex vivo head of an adult pig were investigated in this study. For the measurement of radiographic thickness (RT), wet soft-tissue surfaces were lightly covered with barium sulfate powder using a powder spray. CBCT was taken and DICOM files were assessed for soft-tissue thickness measurement at reference points. A periodontal probe and a rubber stop were used for the measurement of trans-gingival probing thickness (TPT). After flap elevation, actual thickness of soft-tissue (actual thickness, AT) was measured. Correlation analysis and intraclass correlation coefficients analysis (ICC) were performed for AT, TPT, and RT. Results: All variables were distributed normally. Strong significant correlations of AT with RT and TPT values were found. The two ICC values between TPT vs. AT and RT vs. AT differed significantly. Conclusion: Our results indicated that correlation of RT was stronger than that of TPT with AT. We concluded that soft tissue measurement with CBCT could be a reliable method, compared to the trans-gingival probing measurement method.

Easy measurement method of orthogonal triple-sensor hot-wire anemometer is developed. Advantages of the new method is that it does not require either the exact orthogonality of the installed wires which cannot be kept during the probe manufacture and repair, nor the knowledge of the wire installation angles and the yaw and pitch coefficient of the wires. The new method introduced yaw and pitch calibration coefficients which are designed to increase monotonically with yaw and pitch angles. So the resulting calibration network is simple to recognize compared with that of the previously suggested calibration method. Verification experiments showed good accuracy and independency of the directional calibration on velocity.

The shadow moire is one the optical techniques which able to give contour lines of an object with respect to a master grating plane. The moire patterns are issued from the superposition of a grating and its shadow projected on the surface of an object. But in the conventional shadow moire method the reference grating and deformed grating are mutually dependent, it is impossible to obtain uniform phase shifts on the whole field by moving the reference grating. Here we propose ane trial to apply phase shifting to conventional shadow moire. When, in the conventional arrangement, Phase-shifting that is sctually constant regardless of fringe orders is achieved by moving the grating and the light source. Finally we obtained a better result by using this procedure and applied the phase shifting shadow moire to three dimensional measurement.

This paper presents the numerical procedure for calculating non-uniform residual stresses based on relieved displacements obtained from incremental hole drilling. The relationship between the in-plane displacement produced by introducing a blind hole and the corresponding residual stress is established. Finite element calculations are described to evaluate the relieved coefficients required for the determination of non-uniform residual stresses. Validity of the proposed method has been tested through three axisymmetric test examples and two three-dimensional examples. As a result of . simulation on the test examples, it is found that this numerical procedure is well adopted to measuring non-uniform residual stress in the full hole depth range of the hole diameter from the surface. The accuracy of the hole drilling method with displacement measurement is discussed, comparing tile method with strain measurement

A 2$\frac{1}{2}$ dimensional measurement and inspection system realized on the machine tool using a touch trigger probe and measuring G codes is synthesized in this paper. Measuring G codes have been constructed according to geometric farms, precision attributes, relationships between two parts, datum hierarchies, and relevant technological data by using measuring arguments. Algorithms far calibration and compensation of measuring errors are proposed to ensure the measuring accuracy by using a laser interferometer and ring gauges. Classification of feed rates according to the objectives of movement makes it possible to reduce measuring time and also implement collision-free measurement. Experiments are conducted to verify the validity and effectiveness of proposed methods.

In this paper, a method has been proposed for error measurement/diagnosis of CNC machine tools using the ball link bar on three dimensional space. For the circular motion error measurement, deviation between the desired and actual test path has been measured and analysed using a new type of ball link which incorporates ideal three point contact between reference balls and sockets. Computer program for the error evaluation has been developed and implemented under PC environment. Using the developed program, the circular test data on a CNC machine tool have been analysed, and thus, machine tool errors were effectively evaluated.
A new type of electrogoniometer to measure the three dimensional motion of the human knee joint was developed. This instrument is composed of six potentiometers: four arranged for two universal joints, one for pin joint, and one for axial rotation measurement. The voltage change in six potentiometers were collected through A/D converter for acquisition, storage and analysis. With a developed instrument, gait analysis was performed. Compared to earlier developed triaxial type goniometer, new instrument shows its convenience in application and accuracy in measurement.

In this paper, we establish measurement methods of vibration frequency for three-dimensional behavior measurement of large-scale structure using laser and high-speed CCD camera. We project the diode laser having a smaller fluctuation on the object plane attached to the structure and measure the displacement of the structure using a precise relative measurement algorithm. When we use high-speed(120 frames/sec) CCD camera, we can measure the vibration frequency having the uncertainty within 0.5% by taking FFT on the displacement, from 0Hz to 40Hz. And we also confirm the reliability and economical string of the suggested measurement method of vibration frequency of the structure by showing the accuracy of displacement measurement using laser is comparable to that of relative positioning methods using GPS.
A two-dimensional posture measurement system was developed to evaluate the risks of work-related musculoskeletal disorders(MSDs) easily on various conditions of work. The posture measurement system is an essential tool to analyze the workload for preventing work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Although several posture measurement systems have been developed for workload assessment, some restrictions in industry still exist because of its difficulty on measuring work postures. In this study, an image recognition algorithm was developed based on a neural network method to measure work posture. Each joint angle of human body was automatically measured from the recognized images through the algorithm, and the measurement system makes it possible to evaluate the risks of work-related musculoskeletal disorders easily on various working conditions. The validation test on upper body postures was carried out to examine the accuracy of the measured joint angle data from the system, and the results showed good measuring performance for each joint angle. The differences between the joint angles measured directly and the angles measured by posture measurement software were not statistically significant. It is expected that the result help to properly estimate physical workload and can be used as a postural analysis system to evaluate the risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders in industry.
