수산물 소비에 대한 가치체계 분석과 시장세분화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Seafood Consumer's Value Analysis and Market Segmentation)

  • Values are lasting beliefs that are at the center of human behavior and not be often changed. Different values make different behaviors, and similar values form similar behaviors. Consumers' values affect not only the cognitive process but also behaviors in a powerful and comprehensive way. There have been many studies regarding prediction of consumer patterns and identification, measurement methods of values. This is because if we can accurately measure the value system, it can be used in many areas of marketing such as market segmentation, new product development, and advertisement. In case of seafood, it is also necessary to make marketing strategies by segmenting consumers based on their value systems. The objectives of this study are as follows: First, it is to find out the connection process from the properties of seafood products that consumers consider important, to the benefits, and finally to the values they pursue by applying the means-end chain theory, using the Laddering method. Second, using a two-step cluster analysis, we aim to segment seafood markets based on consumers' values and investigate characteristics of segmented markets. Based on objectives, it is expected that this study would provide informations on seafood consumers and help to establish seafood marketing strategies for producers and distributors. Analytical results of the value system using a means-end chain theory indicated that there were seven complete links, that is, ladders among fresh seafood products. In case of processed seafood products, there were total 9 complete ladders. The empirical analytical results of market segmentation according to the values showed fresh seafood products were divided into three groups. In case of processed seafood products were segmented into two groups.

ITO 이행단계 성공요인에 대한 가치체계모형 연구 (Value Structure Model of the Success Factor of ITO Transition)

  • Although the demand for IT outsourcing (ITO) has increased recently because of the recent recession, concerns about business discontinuity in the transition phase cause companies to hesitate to adopt ITO. Therefore, a guideline to improve the prospects is needed. However, studies on the success factors of the transition phase in ITO are lacking. In this study, we develop an expert hierarchical value map (HVM) of the success of the transition phase in ITO by using cognition scientific methodologies. We empirically verify how success factors affect the success of the transition phase. Specifically, we derive an HVM of main stakeholders by using in-depth interviews and approaches, such as repertory grid technique (RGT) and laddering, based on means-end chain theory. We validate the success factors empirically through a bipolar analysis of RGT. Finally, we determine the most important cluster of success factors through cluster analysis.

소비자의 쇼핑가치가 패션제품 속성평가 및 브랜드 재구매의도에 미치는 영향 - 가격수준에 따른 조절효과를 중심으로 - (The Influence of Consumer's Shopping Values on the Evaluations of Fashion Product Attributes and Brand Re-purchase Intention - Focused on the Moderating Role of Price Level -)

  • The purpose of the current study is to investigate the underlying reasons of fashion brand repurchase intention formation based on means-end chain theory and to identify whether the price level moderates the relationships between attribute evaluation and re-purchase intention. Questionnaire data from 291 consumers who had purchase experience of casual wear during the last 6 month period through off-line retail shops were analyzed. The results showed that hedonic shopping value had a positive impact on aesthetic attribute and utilitarian shopping value also had a positive impact on physical attribute of fashion product. While aesthetic attribute had a positive influence on brand repurchase intention, physical attribute had no effect on brand repurchase intention. In addition, there was no moderating effect of price level between the links from shopping value to fashion product attribute evaluation. When casual wear companies have to devise price related strategies, they need to pay attention to diverse promotion factors except for product attributes to realize price-based differentiation.

The Impact of Traditional Market Properties and Relationship Quality on Customer Value : Approach from the viewpoint of the Means-end Chain Theory

  • Purpose - This study investigated relationship quality and/or loyalty, from the viewpoint that merchants and consumers could develop the traditional market. It reorganized variables to find the conditions of values that could stimulate consumers' motives to revive the traditional market. Research Design, data, and methodology - This study employed 202 copies of effective questionnaires, based on the data of Yang & Ju (2012), to conduct correlation, regression, and structured equation modeling (SEM). Results - The results emphasized product and store atmosphere as store selection attributes to consider in the minimum error correction (MEC) model; service factor was not significant. Further, consumers valued relationship quality in the test of mediated effects of the sub-factors of store selection attributes, including consumers' social and emotional value. The relationship quality significantly influenced consumers' value in traditional markets that needed to improve and develop using several variables. Conclusions - This study revealed connections between attributes, consequences, and values using the causal relation model, to generate an optimal model based on a practical and theoretical background and proposed ways to obtain consumer-related information easily.

  • 지금까지 HCI분야의 많은 연구들은 사용성 (Usability)을 중요한 연구 주제로 인식하여 왔다. 그러나 연구의 범위를 사용성에 한정하는 것은 HCI 분야의 잠재성을 좁히고, 사용자 경험 (User Experience)의 개념도 좁은 범위로 한정시키게 된다. 따라서 향후 HCI 분야의 연구는 정보 기술의 사용성 측면의 뿐만 아니라, 정보 기술의 사용을 통한 다양한 사용자 경험을 구조적인 관점에서 살펴보아야 한다. 즉 사용성 중심의 연구가 아닌, 보다 전반적이고 구조적인 측면에서 사용자 경험을 살펴보는 새로운 방향의 HCI 연구가 필요할 것으로 보인다. 이와 같이 사용자 경험을 보다 전반적이고 구조적인 측정에서 이해하기 위해서는 사용자가 특정 정보 기술의 사용을 통해 추구하는 가치 (Value)와 그와 같은 가치를 실현 시킬 수 있는 정보 기술의 속성 (Attribute) 및 결과 (Consequence), 그리고 속성, 결과, 가치 간 연관 관계를 구조적인 측면에서 살펴보아야 한다. 본 연구는 사용자 가치에 대한 대표적인 이론인 Means-End Chain Theory와 속성, 결과, 가치 간 연관 관계를 파악하기 위한 정성적 연구 방법론인 Laddering 기법을 기반으로 사용자 경험 구조 파악 및 가치 중심적 HCI (Value-Centered HCI)를 위한 새로운 연구 방법론을 제안하고자 한다. 또한 본 연구에서는 새롭게 제안된 방법론을 통해 모바일 인터넷 서비스에 대한 사용자 경험 구조를 도출하고, 모바일 인터넷 상황에서 도출된 결과 및 본 연구에서 새롭게 제안된 방법론의 이론적이고 실용적인 의의를 제시하고자 한다.

수단-목적사슬이론을 이용한 소셜커머스의 사용자 가치 분석 (User Value Analysis in Social Commerce Using Means-End Chain Theory)

  • 소셜 네트워크의 확산에 따라 플랫폼을 기반으로 한 소셜커머스는 다중 스마트 기기의 사용과 함께 빠르게 성장해왔다. 쿠팡과 티켓몬스터와 같은 소셜커머스 사이트들의 빠른 성장을 감안한다면 소셜커머스 환경에서 사용자의 구매 의사 결정 과정을 이해하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 소셜커머스를 이용하는 사용자들의 목표에 대한 이해를 보다 풍부하게 발전시키고자 한다. 둘째, 사용자의 목표를 분석하기 위한 방법론적 대안을 소개한다. 본 연구에서는 래더링 인터뷰와 수단-목적사슬 분석을 활용했다. 소셜커머스를 활용한 구매 경험이 6개월 이상인 사용자 40명을 대상으로 실시한 인터뷰 분석 결과, 사용자의 목표 구조를 보여주는 위계적 목적지도가 도출되었다. 본 지도는 타인과의 따뜻한 관계, 쇼핑의 재미와 즐거움, 성취감, 만족감, 금전적 저축, 편의성 등을 포함한 소셜커머스의 22가지 궁극적인 목표를 담고 있다. 또한 활동에서부터 궁극적인 목표까지 다양한 경로가 존재하기에 사용자가 추구하는 목표를 조사하면 사용자를 이해하는 통찰력을 얻을 수 있다.

노인의 공공도서관 이용 가치체계에 관한 연구 - 서울 소재 공공도서관을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Elderly People's Value System of the Public Library Use: Focusing on Public Libraries in Seoul)

  • 본 연구에서는 노인이 공공도서관을 이용하는 이유와 가치체계를 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울소재 15개 공공도서관에서 만 60세 이상 이용자를 대상으로 2018년 10월 29일~11월 10일까지 설문조사를 실시하여 수집한 306부의 응답 결과를 분석하였다. 가치체계는 수단-목적 사슬 이론(Means-end Chain Theory, MEC)을 토대로 공공도서관 이용의 속성, 혜택, 가치 연결 관계를 가치계층도로 도식화하였고, 만 65세를 기준으로 두 집단으로 나누어 비교하였다. 분석 결과, 가장 높은 빈도로 나타난 가치체계는 책을 읽거나 빌려본다(속성) ${\rightarrow}$ 새로운 지식을 얻을 수 있다(혜택) ${\rightarrow}$ 나 자신에게 만족한다(가치)였다. 공공도서관을 이용함으로써 도달하는 가치에 대해서는 두 집단 공통적으로 스스로에 대한 만족, 성취감, 재미와 즐거움, 삶에 활력이 생기는 것을 느낀다고 답하였는데, 만 65세 이상 노인은 공공도서관 이용이 정신적/신체적 건강에 도움이 된다고도 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과, 공공도서관을 이용하는 노인은 공공도서관의 전통적 기능과 관련된 부분을 주요 속성으로 느끼고 있었으며 공공도서관은 노인이 활기찬 노년을 보내는 데 적절한 기여를 할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

래더링 기법을 통한 한식당 이용 외국인의 추구 가치 분석 (Hierarchical Value Map of the Korean Restaurant Experience of Foreigners - An Application of the Laddering Technique -)

  • The present study attempted to offer more insights into the foreign consumers' consumption decision structure of Korean restaurants located in foreign countries. A survey was designed based on the means-end chain theory, using the laddering interview technique. The qualitative data obtained from 10 Americans, 10 Japanese, and 10 Chinese were content analyzed and resulted in categories such as 'new experience', 'interest in Korea', 'recommendation', 'good food', 'easy to access', 'service', 'dining environment', and 'price' as perceived attributes of choice. The hierarchical value maps linking attributes, psychological consequences, and terminal values were presented. The most frequent consequences were 'experience new culture', 'be exposed to new experience', and 'learn more about Korea' which were related to 'happiness', 'pleasure', 'good relationship', 'desire fulfillment', and 'self-satisfaction' as personal values. Laddering interviews, which required laborious analysis, provided important information on the relationship between perceived attributes and the reasons for choosing Korean restaurants.

웹 접근성 사용자 평가를 통한 가치체계 분석 : 저 시력 장애인 대상으로 (Analyses of Value System through Web Accessibility User Evaluation : For People with Low Vision)

  • Current web accessibility checks and automatic assessments have been pointed out that the assessment items and scores are evaluated from the developer's point of view rather than from the user's one. In addition, although most of the grades of an automatic assessment on the public web sites are excellent because they are built in accordance with the web accessibility development guidelines, not a few web sites shows relatively low grades in evaluating their usability test made by those users. Taking into account the inadequacy of these web accessibility assessments, this study has identified the differences between the grades of usability evaluations and automatic evaluations for people with low vision and analyzed the major factors affecting web accessibility usability evaluations using Repertory Grid Techniques. Also, the Hard Laddering method of the Means-End Chain theory was adopted to visualize the relationship between Attributes-Conferences-Value and a hierarchical value system analysis based on FGI(Focused Group Interview) to people with the low vision. This study proposed the measures to improve the current web accessibility automatic assessment allocation, expert evaluation criteria, and user task assessment. In particular, it is a web accessibility user evaluation model that can consider the web accessibility quality certification criteria and user review assessment by directly analyzing the user cognitive structure and value system. This study is expected to be useful as a research to enhance the quality of web accessibility assessment.

빈티지 의류 소비에서의 소비자 가치구조 분석 -텍스트 마이닝 기법과 수단-목적 사슬 분석을 중심으로- (Analysis of Consumer Value Structure in Vintage Clothing Consumption -Based on Text Mining and Means-End Chain Analysis-)

  • This two-part study explores the changes in the types of perceived value and consumption channels for vintage clothing and the relationship between the two variables. In Study 1, we used text mining with the keyword "fashion+vintage." Emotional value was the most frequently mentioned, and environmental value increased the most. We also revealed an increasing trend in online channels for vintage clothing consumption. In Study 2, we analyzed 30 interviews with consumers who had purchased vintage clothing through online channels. We identified 7 attributes and 20 goals for vintage consumption online and pinpointed three strong connections. First, consumers reported high levels of service satisfaction due to the usefulness of algorithms. Second, the authenticity and heritage information available through online and mobile channels were associated with consumers' perceptions of value related to financial benefits. Third, consumers sought to find rare products through online channels, leading to a strong influence on their sense of achievement. Overall, this study proposed ways to increase the value of vintage clothing perceived by consumers through consumption online.
