The findings suggest that attachment is highest with one's mothers, followed by peer groups, fathers and teachers. This is in accordance with the overall tendencies of children to be attached to their parents, teachers, peer groups, according to their self-concept and school life adjustment. In addition, the tendency of attachment with parents, teachers, and peer groups according to gender is not meaningful except for peer-group affection between boys and girls. Furthermore, an integrated attachment type is ranked highest, followed by parents attachment type, peer attachment type, and unstable attachment type, in order based on cluster analysis. Finally, each attachment group among students showed meaningful differences in socio-demographic variables, self-concept, and school life adjustment.

  • This study has a purpose to profile local sectors into meaningful groups by using facilities rates of Social Overhead Capital(SOC) for daily life. Comparing SOC for daily life among the meaningful groups, the profiling and comparison results bring the comprehensive understanding about the educational facilities in local sectors. For the research purpose, this study utilized Latent Profile Analysis(LPA) by using variables such as population, road information, SOC for daily life, usage of land, possession of land, and appraised value of land from the 2018 Geographic Information System(GIS) dataset of Gwangjin-gu, where is one of the administrative district of Seoul City. Results showed that there are four latent groups of sectors among 904 local sectors(100 squared-meters sector per each) in Gwangjin-gu. By comparing the four latent groups by using LPA, the results diagnose each sector's status and help to improve the policy about educational facilities. Specifically, by using dataset for SOC of daily life, there are four groups of local sectors and each group has different features. Based on the different features of local sector groups, there can be improved management of educational facilities matching with each group's features.

  • The purpose of this dissertation is firstly to examine the level of pro-environmental behavior of urban employed wives depending on their life style type and secondly to identify effective ways to promote their pro-environmental behavior. A structured questionnaire interview was conducted with 700 urban employed wives who lived in the Seoul Metropolitan area, and 566 of the responses were valid for analysis. For statistical analysis, this research reviewed the frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation(SD), Pearson's correlations, Cronbach's u, factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, $\chi$$^2$-test, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, and multiple regression using SPSS/PC WIN. The findings of analysis of the study are as follows: 1. Among life style types of employed wives, the order of ecological value was orientation type (37.3%), followed by economical value orientation type (25.8%), uninterested type (18.7%), and convenience-centric value orientation type (18.2%).Pro-environmental behavior scored relatively highly at 3.45 in average. 2. In the analysis of the relationship between life style and background variations, every variation except environmental knowledge was meaningful. 3. In the relationship between pro-environment behavior and background variations, every variation was meaningful except housing types, having helper or not, and environmental knowledge. 4. The recognition level of environmental pollution was important among the variations affecting pro-environmental behavior. 5. There was a difference in pro-environmental behaviors by the following life style types: ecological value orientation, economical value orientation, convenience centric orientation and uninterested. 6. For the relative contribution comparison of background variations (socio-economic variation and environmental variation) and life style variations to the pro-environmental behavior of urban empolyed wives, this research additionally applied each independent variable group. As a result, the explanation level drastically increased in the third step that analyzed the relationship with life style.

  • The current use of leading causes of death is an outmoded, misleading counterproductive measure of importance of disease. The 'new' concept of productive years of life discounted to the future and combined with morbidity, disability, and direct cost measures will give a much more meaningful, useful measure of the magnitude of disease problems in Korea. I am looking forward to seeing refinements and improvements on this technique carried out by some readers of this paper.

To perform this program, six session of time-limited(two hour) were carried out experimental group. and subjects were assigned to experimental group(N=6 couples) and control group(N=6 couples). Scales of PREPARE II (PREmarital Personal And Relationship Evaluation), Couple Communication Scales and Commitment Scales were used as pre-post-follow instruments of this study. Major finding were as follows : 1. Marital Relationship Enhancement Program for couples in the early marriage stage has meaningful consequences for the improvement of participants' couple relationship. 2. Marital Relationship Enhancement Program had meaningful consequence for the improvement of participants' realistic expectation of marriage, communication and conflict resolution skills and leisure activities. These positive effects maintained at follow-up. However, it hadn't meaningful consequence for the improvement of participants' marital commitment. 3. Marital Relationship Enhancement Program had also meaningful consequence for the improvement of the wives' realistic expectation of marriage, communication and conflict resolution skills and leisure activities, of the husbands' communication and conflict resolution skills.

  • Many high school students are having difficulties for studying advanced mathematics concepts. It is more complicated than in junior high school and they are losing interest and confidence. In this paper, advanced mathematics concepts are not just basic concepts such as natural numbers, fractions or figures that can be learned through life experience but concepts that are including variables, functions, sets, tangents and limits are more abstract and formal. For the students to understand these ideas is too heavy a burden and so many of the students concentrate their efforts on just memorizing and not understanding. It is necessary to search for a meaningful method of teaching for advanced mathematics that covers deductive methods and symbols. High school teachers are always asking themselves the following question, “How do we help the students to understand the concept clearly and instruct it in a meaningful way?” As a solution we propose the followings : I. To ensure they have the right understanding of concept image involved in the concept definition. II. Put emphasis on the process of making mental representations and the role of intuition. III. To instruct students and understand them as having many chance of the instructional conversation. In conclusion, we studied the meaningful method of teaching with the theory of Ausubel related to the above proposed methods. To understand advanced mathematics concepts correctly, the mutual understanding of both teachers and students is necessary.

  • Purpose: This descriptive research was carried out to identify how high school students' attitude to death and their meaning of life were affected by hospice volunteering and death education. Methods: This study is based on a structured questionnaire designed for 180 high school students who were given death education while doing volunteer work at non-profit hospice hospitals and another 288 high school students not doing any hospice volunteer work. The collected data was processed by the SPSS 20.0 program and then analyzed by $x^2$ test, t-test and ANOVA test. Results: High school students' attitude to death and their meaning of life showed significant differences depending on whether or not they had volunteered at hospice hospitals. The group with hospice volunteering experience tended to be more negative about death and have a higher meaning of life compared to those without hospice volunteering experience. Students with proper hospice recognition made up 52.4%, those who expressed hopes to receive hospice-care themselves if necessary accounted for 70.5%, and those who said they would like to take care of their family members either at home or at a hospice center if any of them got incurably sick comprised 59.0%. Those who thought dignified death is to be with one's family or any other meaningful person were 47.6% and 18.5% of the students thought that 'thinking they had led a meaningful life' was the core of a dignified death. Conclusion: Given the above results, it became clear that hospice volunteering and death education can affect high school students' meaning of life and their attitudes toward death.
