Home has significant meaning in the real world. In contrast, there's a lack of interest in homes in the Metaverse compared to other architectural spaces. This study aims to establish the concept of a home in the Metaverse based on meaning, typology, and characteristics of real-world homes. For this purpose, previous research and existing models of real- world homes were analyzed and case studies and a survey were conducted of homes in the Metaverse. As a result of the research, a model of home in the Metaverse is proposed based on physical, social, and personal models. Modifying one's dwelling, a refuge from the outside world, and self-expression/personalized space was also identified as the most significant characteristic of a home in the Metaverse. The results of this study will be helpful in future Metaverse virtual world research and development of Metaverse service platforms.

Brothel in China is another word of origin and a noble expression at the same time. Brothel has long been used as a symbol of prestige and wealth as a synonym for integrity innocence. According to documentary records, brothel was used as a place where people with a lot of power and wealth. This meaning in the literature continued until the Late Tang period. In addition, the brothel was also used to refer to the place where the King resides. Therefore, the meaning of Brothel in the Tang period is generally understood as a place where people with high status symbolize the integrity of innocence. However, the image of the brothel, which is connected to the characteristics of a lot of young and beautiful women is increasingly recognized as a place where young ladies reside. For this reason, entering the Tang period the brothel eventually turned into a dwelling of a young woman in a prestigious and wealthy house. Since the time of Ming-Qing, brothel has already been used to refer to prostitute and brothel. In this article, we will look at the historical process of the change of brothel, and examine the process of brothel culture through the environment of brothel and cultural literacy of residents. We hope that this study will provide new perspectives and data to the study of women's cultural history in China.

The value of the Tosi-Hanok have recently been appreciated and accordingly the resultant studies have actively been conducted. This is an attempt to probe our architectural type haying identity through our traditional architecture in Korean society that pursues only something new. But owing to the infusion of foreign cultures and modernization, the archetype of Korean-style house has either been damaged or indiscriminately transformed without the establishment of its proper norms. The understanding of the value of traditional cultures has gradually increased, and accordingly effort to preserve Korean-style houses through legal regulations or systems have continually been made in terms of appearance or cityscape. For this reason, it is thought that it Is insufficient to present the direction or alternative to preservation in relation to the change or use of the interior space with the pattern of requirement for other programs other than dwelling. Therefore, this study attempted to find out the original meaning of Korean-style house by highlighting the advantages of Tosi-Hanok and supplementing its disadvantage while accommodating the diverse requirement for programs as contemporary residential space. And it was intended to propose the model for Tosi-Hanok that accommodates social changes in content while maintaining its meaning by analyzing the Tosi-Hanok with a focus on interior space and preserving historical continuity on its basis.

As a applied art, Architecture is a synthetic art for dwelling and settlement. It has started with the origin of the human. and Artistical-technological indicator, include not only materiality but also immateriality such as history and society. After 20C, various categories of thinking is a undergoing rapid change. especially, beginning in 1900, The intrinsic value of "Fine Art" had lost their competitive power in the face of industrial revolution's mass production. and it has been displaced by a "new concept", such as a conveyance of meaning or rational way of thinking. This change means free from the tradition and custom of a past. for that reasons, Due to the nature of applied art, it always include design symbolism and designer's thinking is mainly processed in their own system of thinking. Symbolism for the art was distinguished from a general concept by the connotative meaning that called "the dual image". Therefore, at the start, this study will define about design and symbolism with a architecture as a applied art. then, Analysis the expression tendency of the contemporary architecture and modification. as a result, It aim to systematize mapping process and suggest the classification of various visual cue.

The Landscape Drawing is the main medium for constructing better environment which provides human beings with a place for dwelling well, even though it has some limitations. To provide places for people's daily lives, by what measure do we design\ulcorner, by what measure do we give dimension\ulcorner, and how can we appropriately measure the place with drawing\ulcorner On any given site, of course, much has already happened, i.e, there is history. Any adequate interpretation of such a site should poetically take into account the present effects of its absent past. The findings to reveal the meaning and methodology of landscape drawings in the environmental design with a case study are as follows: (1) The value of landscape drawings is the poetic, artistic interpretation which we sense and bodily experience through the simultaneous exposure of the site's temporal, spatial, and tactile conditions. (2) The landscape drawing should represent the invisible (imaginary) world as well as the visible (physical) world. (3) There can be classified as two methods in representing the rich experience of a place: expression and notation. Expression is the abstract representation and do not have a direct relationship to construction due to its ambiguous and connotative structure. But notation is constructional due to it's purely objective symbol system which is obviously denotative structure. (4) Collage is a medium of specific act that can represent the complex layered phenomena and the rich experience of given site. (5) The landscape drawings represent not only topographical space which can be measured objectively, but also topic which can be cognized culturally.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the using behavior of the balcony space in apartment housing for improving apartment balcony as dwelling space. For that, it is needed to identify the practical meaning of balcony space as function so balcony expansion and the using behavior of balcony space were investigated and analyzed. For this study, survey and depth-interview methods were used for data collection. The major findings were as followings: 1) Balcony expansion mainly occurred in balcony of livingroom and bedroom. Balcony expansion showed several phases according to the type of plan and function of balcony space and few residents chose expansion of all balconies. 2) The using behavior of balcony space was categorized by these various functions of balconies. It was also related to unit-plan type of apartment housing. These results can provide improvement guidelines for the balcony with the differentiation of design factors for residents.

The purpose of this study is analyzing the frequent defect about each inspection part of Pre-qualification of residential building reconstruction and finding the cause of occurrence so that can supply a solution of the problem during the plalnning and constructure. The frequent defects are naturally following the deterioration and more occur in the structure body than a skin. The meaning that supply the cause and the managing method for preventing frequent defects about each inspection part is as follows. To prevent the defects, it is needed that the choice of the appropriate materials, giving a sufficient space for facilities, reliable constructure for the part of expecting the defects. The quality of life will go up due to making a good dwelling environment and extending the life cycle of structures from the inspection and managing the part of expecting defects.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the Characteristic and Changing Process of Refugees' Housing in the Korean War. Refugees' Housing is one of the unique forms of housing that emerged during the acute situation in the war. During the Korean War, Busan became the Wartime Capital and various housing policies were implemented for the influx of refugees. Various types of housing appeared in Busan during the war, and the type analysis and characteristic of these types were revealed through literature and case studies. Accordingly, the product of study was indicated in the meaning of the housing restoration policy enforced during the war and the housing type exhibited by refugees from the perspective of housing.

The Internet is becoming an abstract system from which we can get every kind of project and to which we can entrust every kind of project. That is, Internet can be considered both as an infinite scale of task pool and infinite scale of TM (Task Module) pool, which surely provides the necessary and sufficient condition for dwelling of the virtual life. n we could build up the proper ecosystem composed of the virtual life, It would be possible to implement the system as a life. The life system thus obtained provides us some decisive advantages, which is not available by the reduction paradigm. In this Paper, we presented an ecosystem based on Internet which will be followed by the discussion of its meaning in terms of usefulness.

The purpose of this study is to examine the trasfiguration of the inner-courtyard (MADANG) at the single-detached urban dwellings in Taegu using the documentary research and survey method. The data was analyzed by the frequency, percentage, and x2-test. The major finding of this study was that the conventional meaning of the inner-courtyard existed in the designation and necessity, facilites, and needs in the future of the open space at the single-detached urban dwellings. Although people who were in their 30s favored the western style of house and garden, people who were in their 50s favored the traditional style of inner-courtyard. Finally, the concept of inner-courtyard at a single-detached urban dwelling is gradually changing to that f westren garden.
