The purpose of this study is to analyze dress meanings painted by elementary school girl. As in language, the dress is the symbol and form of non-verval communicator its wearer by means of the mentalistic semantics. Also it is to analyze meanings of dress by applying the semantics of Geoffrey Leech. The followings are the findings of the analysis 1. The conceptual are the findings of the analysis 2. The social meaning is indicating the feminine image. 3. The offective meaning is indicating the aesthetic value.

Objective : To determine predictors of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms in burn injured patients and evaluate factors for identifying high risk group of PTSD. Methods : This study examined sixty one patients aged in the range of 19-65 years with burn injuries. All subjects completed self-assessment inventories about PTSD (The PTSD Check List for DSM-5. PCL-5), depression (Patient Health Questionnaire-9, PHQ-9), embitterment (Posttraumatic embitterment disorder self-rating scale, PTED scale) and meaning of life (Meaning in Life Questionnaire, MLQ). Stepwise multiple regression and ROC curve analysis were the tools used for analysis. Results : The results revealed higher depression, embitterment and lower presence of meaning in life predicted severe PTSD symptoms. ROC analysis indicated PTED scale and PHQ-9 were useful for discriminating high risk group of PTSD. Conclusion : The present study established that the need to consider embitterment, depression and meaning of life for alleviation and prevention of PTSD symptoms in burn patients.

Purpose: This mixed-methods study was conducted to compare and analyze the perceptions of children and their parents regarding the meaning of the children's life. Methods: First, children's and parents' perceptions of the meaning of life were analyzed using a quantitative approach, and the cognitive differences between children and parents were then confirmed through a qualitative approach. We integrated the collected data comprehensively. Results: Ten significant differences (awareness of strong points, recognizing oneself as a precious being, relationships with friends, happy memories, liking people, experiencing difficulty, dreams and goals, experiencing love, appreciating life, helping people who are poorer than me) were identified between children and parents. The results of the content analysis of the qualitative data were divided into two variables: children's experiences of the meaning of life (78 significant statements, 32 sub-themes, and 10 themes) and parents' perceptions of the meaning of life of their children (89 significant statements, 36 sub-themes, and 10 themes). Conclusion: Based on these results, we propose developing meaning-centered intervention programs for children and parents and applying them for educational purposes. By doing so, we expect that meaning-centered education for elementary school students will become more active.

The purpose of this study was to research the effects of vocalization on upper extremity motion during occupational performance and to compare non-meaning and meaning vocalization. Experiments were performed on 30 subjects. They had no medical history of neurological problems with their upper extremities. Using a tea cup, a tea tray, and a tea spoon, they set a table during vocalization. We used meaning and non-meaning vocalization with the subjects. An example of meaning vocalization would be naming something, and an example of non-vocalization would be saying, "Ah." We used a 3-D analysis system called CMS-HS. We analyzed the motion in the angular velocity and acceleration of the elbow while recording performance time. The results of this study showed that vocalization enhanced the angular velocity and acceleration of the elbow, and also enhanced performance time. In short, vocalization improved upper extremity motion by making it faster and smoother. There were no significant differences between meaning and non-meaning vocalization.

Not only is home a place, but also it has psychological and social meaning. Then the meaning of home is different according to geographical location or group. Therefore, under this background, the purpose of this study was to analyze the meaning of home of the university students. The data was collected through the students ' essay about "the meaning of housing for me". The samples are 158 in total. The research method which was performed in order to recognize the meaning of home was a content analysis . As the results of study, the meaning of home are 10 in total. First order is a home as a refuge, second order is a home as a space with a family, and third order is a home as a base of activity.

There is linguistic phenomenon that Korean syllable, morpheme and word are substituted with Chinese Character. These phenomenon is called Chinese Character Borrowing, the Chinese character used here is called Borrowed Chinese Character. Whereas borrowing Chinese character in Chinese is used for borrowing only sound for different word, borrowing Chinese character in Korean is used for assigning new meaning. Hence, by borrowing Chinese character in Korean, a syllable which had no meaning originally get new meaning, morpheme and word meaning has changed. At advertisement and campaign, Chinese Character Borrowing has lots of linguistical advantage such as visual immediacy, effectiveness of meaning expression. However, there are number of cases found that violate grammar rule and word constitution practice by Chinese Character Borrowing. For this reason, Chinese Character Borrowing has the problem polluting Korean along with another foreign words. Thus, this paper focus on study Chinese Character Borrowing phenomenon in Korean, and analysis its effectiveness and impact in Korean. In addition, analysis the problem of Borrowed chinese Character, and suggestion several alternative for right use of Korean is followed.

An educational practice is a communicational course between educator and student with scheme and execution of studying. The communicational contents of the practical course require teaching transmission and recipient process for educator and student as a major knowledges end techniques in order to achieve student's aim. The communication of practical course consists of educators, students, and practical contents, and they also form both meaning objects and mutual relationships for constitution of the practical courses. In order to develop the effective plan for practical process, we have to understand the phenomena of meaning operations which consists in connections of the practical exercise and the meaning object. This study is to approach a phenomenal analysis as respects the meaning operations how forms of tie meaning object exert in the practical course. On the basis of this analysis, we grasp properties of the practical course into the meaning object, and in these connections, suggest the category of cognizance to put execution in the practical course by interpreting factors of the meaning operations.

The purpose of this study was to identify the differences of the meaning of parents in age, and relationship between meaning of parents, meaning in life and depression. The online survey data of 400 including 100 late-adolescents, 100 young adults, 100 mid adults, and 100 older adults was used. The main results were as follows. First, meaning of parents was positively correlated with meaning in life and negatively correlated with depression. Also meaning in life was negatively correlated with depression. Second, there were no age difference in meaning of parents in anova analysis. Third, through structural equation modeling showed that meaning of parents had significant effect on depression mediated by meaning in life. These findings suggested that meaning of parents and meaning in life can be protactive factors on depression. Finally, practical implications and limitataions were suggested for future research.

The purpose of this study is to verify whether there is a difference in boredom between education types (offline vs. online) in the mandatory education scene, and to explore the moderator effect of meaning making activities in the relationship between education types and boredom. In this study, 197 college students were divided into offline and online groups and they participated in mandatory education. The meaning making activity was operationalized based on the meaning discovery scale. As a result of the study, the state boredom after mandatory education was significantly higher in the online group than in the offline group. However, meaning making activities did not moderate the relationship between education type and the state boredom. Through further analysis, it was found that boredom in both groups significantly decreased after the meaning making activity.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the elements forming interior design and to examine dimensional relationship among the elements which form space through the comparison of the spatial language and semiotics of space for the component of interior design. In addition to that it indtends to derive the principle of design which dominate interior design and the inherent diversified meaning by comparing those elements with the square of semiotic used in semiotics. Through this comparsion the meaning of constituent forming space which can be observed through the comparsion of square of semiotic has redefined flexbility among relational system of elements and this flexible concept make the scope of environment including human being broad and enriched. This study fist of all analyzes various phenomena of social culture review semiotics meta-learning and examines back theoretical ground of semiotics which is needed for space analysis. Second of all in the area of presenting an analysis tool for meaningful analysis this report introduces the square of semiotics which was invented,. A. J. Greimas in order to analyze the meaning of literary work and defind three categories of the progressive research method for the analysis of interior design and research itself.
