군말뚝 주변의 국부세굴에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on Local Scour Around Group Pile Foundation)

  • 본 연구에서는 군말뚝 교각 주위에서의 세굴특성을 실험을 통하여 파악하였다. 실험은 4개, 9개, 15개, 35개의 파일로 구성된 군말뚝에 대해 수행하여 파일수, 유속, 접근각에 따른 세굴형상, 최대세굴심의 깊이 및 위치의 변화를 살펴보았다. 실험결과에 의하면, 4개 및 9개로 구성된 군말뚝의 경우 유속비와 상관없이 단일교각의 최대세굴심과 흡사하였고, 15개와 35개로 구성된 군말뚝의 경우 유속비가 증가함에 따라 최대세굴심도 급격히 증가하여 단일교각 세굴심 의 약 2.2배 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 세굴형태는 말뚝간격이 조밀해질수록 원형의 세굴공이 중첩되어 전체적으로 직사각형의 형태를 띠는 것으로 나타났다. 75개의 파일로 구성된 군말뚝에 대한 접근각의 영향을 살펴본 결과 세굴심은 접근각이 35$^{\circ}$에서 최대가 되었으며 이때의 세굴공은 대각선 방향으로 형성됨을 알 수 있었다.

급경사 자갈하상 만곡수로의 최대세굴심 산정공식 평가 (Estimation methods of maximum scour depth in steep gravel-bed bend channel)

  • 본 연구는 급경사 자갈하상 만곡수로의 이동상 수리실험을 이용하여 만곡부 최대세굴심 산정공식들의 적용성을 평가하였다. 평균입경 43mm의 하천자갈을 $90^{\circ}$ 만곡 급경사 개수로에 포설하고 유량과 하상경사에 따른 만곡부의 최대세굴심을 조사하고 세굴심 공식으로 산정한 최대세굴심과 비교하였다. 자갈하상 만곡부 국부세굴은 유입부의 하상경사 0.02이상 $F_r$ 0.95이상에서 발생하였다. 이 수로에서 Lacey공식과 Zeller공식을 제외한 기존 세굴심 산정공식들은 최대세굴심을 과대 추정하는 것으로 나타났다. 하상재료를 고려한 Lacey공식과 접근경사와 만곡도를 반영한 Zeller공식은 급경사 자갈하상 만곡부의 최대세굴심 평가에 적용될 수 있는 것으로 판단된다.

  • In this experimental paper, the maximum scour depth at pier was student. The model of the pier of San Gye bridge in the Bocheong stream was set for the experimental studies. Several model verification processes were conducted through the roughness comparisons between model and prototype, pursuing scour depth variations with time depending upon channel bed variation, the comparison of the ratios between falling velocities and shear velocities in the model and prototype, and the comparison of pier scour depths between experimental data and field measuring data. The experiments were conducted in the free flow conditions and pressure flow conditions. The maximum scour depth at piers in the pressure flow conditions is almost twice as much as compared to the free flow conditions. Also, the maximum scour depth variations are indicated in the figures based on the Froude numbers, opening ratios, water depths and approaching angles in the free surface flow conditions.

세굴보호장치에 의한 교각주위의 국부세굴 실험 (Experimental Study on Local Scour around Bridge Piers by Scour Protection Devices)

  • This study based on the laboratory works, analyzes factors affecting local scour in order to understand various characteristics of the local scour surrounding bridge piers. Attached with scour protection device as a method for decreasing local scour, it carries out the laboratory experiments and calculates the scour depth. From the experiments attached with the scour protection devices, it seems possible to reduce the scour depth as the protecting plate, column and sacrificial piles are built in the same height with flume bed at pier or footing upstream interrupted falling-flow. And then it could reduce scour depth. The paper presents the following research results: First, the decreasing degree of scour depth is in order of protecting column, protecting plate, sacrificial piles and non-protecting facilities. However, it shows no meaningful difference between protecting column and protecting plate. Second, when $L_p/b$=0.5~1, the decreasing effect of scour depth reached the maximum of 40 percents.

수위변화에 따른 교각주위에서의 세굴현상연구 (Scour around Piers in the Stage Hydrograph)

  • 본 연구는 실제하천에서의 불규칙한 수위변화에 따라 교각주위에서 발생하는 세굴현상에 대하여 규명하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위하여 IHP 대표유역인 금강수계내 보청천 최하류 지점에 설치되어 있는 산계교를 중심으로 최근 15년 동안에 발생된 6개 홍수사상에 대한 수위수문곡선을 선택하여 모형실험을 실시하였다. 모형수로는 실제하천과 모형수로에서의 조도계수 실측, 모형수로 경사변화에 따른 최대세굴심도의 변화, 실제하천과 모형내 하상재료의 침강속도와 마찰속도의 비를 검토하여 하상경사를 결정하고 실제하천에서의 세굴심도를 직접 측정하여 모형수로 실험결과와 비교함으로써 모형수로를 검증하였다. 실험 결과, 정류상태에서 모형실험을 실시하여 실제하천에 대한 최대세굴심을 예측할 경우에는 최고수위를 택하여 실시해야 하는 것으로 판단되며, 수위수문곡선 하강시 평형세굴심도는 최대세굴심보다 작으므로 실제하천에서 세굴심을 실측할 경우에는 되메우기에 의해 감소된 만큼의 세굴심을 고려해야 할 것으로 판단된다.

  • The phenomena of local scour due to a current from a seadike closure gap which is protected by rock, then on to an erodible bed, have been studied. Based on the data of hydraulic model test, the scour characteristics have been investigated for the variation of maximum scour depth with time until reaching equilibrium stage and the shape of ultimate scour hole. A brief evaluation of DHL formula for the relationship between maximum scouring depth and time and a dimensionless form leading to time-scale introduced. On the basis of DHL formula, modified DHL formula denoted DHL-RDC formula is extend to the range of estimation of scour depth compared to DHL formula verified by model test.

The Increment Of The Local Scour Depth At Piers By Constructing The Bridge Between Existing Bridges

  • In this paper, the increment of the local scour depth at piers by constructing the bridge between existing bridges is examined through the experiments in which 5 piers in the non-cohesive bed material in the experimental flume were installed. In the experiments the maximum distance of 25 times of the pier length and the maximum distortion width of 8 times of the pier width were utilized. Through the experimental studies, it was indicated that low flow, which can be characterized as the flow having low Froude numbers, the maximum bed configuration change is obtained when the piers are installed in the straight line in the flor direction without any distortion. However, In the high flow, which can be characterized as the flow having high Froude numbers, the maximum bed configuration change is obtained when the piers are installed with some distortion from the flow direction. The influence of the bed configuration by interaction between bridge piers is changed depending upon the Froude numbers, the distance between piers, and the distortion width between adjacent bridge piers. Also, because the scour patterns are affected by the bed configuration, the maximum scour should be increased by about 60% compared to that in a single pier if the interaction between bridge piers exists. It can be suggested that the maximum scour depth at bridge piers predicted by applying the existing equations should be increased if the interaction between bridge piers exist. Those cases are found when new bridges are constructed successively in the river in the urban area.

Predicting Scour at Bridge Piers

  • A new method called SRICOS is proposed to predict the scour depth z versus time t around a cylindrical bridge pier of diameter D founded in clay. The steps involved are ; 1. taking samples at the bridge pier site, 2. testing them in an Erosion Function Apparatus called the EFA to obtain the scour rate z versus the hydraulic shear stress applied $\tau$, 3. predicting the maximum shear stress r max which will be induced around the pier by the water flowing at ν Ο before the scour hole starts to develop, 4. using the measured z versus r curve to obtain the initial scour rate zi corresponding to r max , 5. predicting the maximum depth of scour zmax for the pier, 6. using zi and zmarx to develop the hyperbolic function describing the scour depth z versus time t curve, and 7. reading the z vs. t curve at a time corresponding to the duration of the flood to find the scour depth which will develop around the pier. A new apparatus is developed to measure the z vs t curve of step 2, a series of advanced numerical simulations are performed to develop an equation for the $\tau$ max value of step 3, and a series of flume tests are performed to develop an equation for the zmax value of step 5. The method is evaluated by comparing predictions and measurements in 42 flume experiments.

일산대교 교각세굴 평가 사례 연구 (Case Study on Local Scour Evaluation of Il-San Bridge)

  • In this research, the reasonable local scour estimates considered conditions of the bed material and the flow was accomplished on two piers P14 and P17 of Il-san bridge. Especially, the Il-san bridge was located on the lower Han-river where is influenced by the tides of In-chon, and it has hydraulic condition that can cause the bridge piers local scour because of tides at ordinary times, as well as a flood. Therefore, the local scour depth has been presented influenced by the maximum velocity of the flow when a flood after construction and the tides on construction on the basis of the standards of river design and road design, furthermore, the results was made a comparative analysis. According to the results, the local scour depth on the basis of the standards of river design was higher than it on the basis of the standards of road design(SRICOS), and the local scour depth influenced by the maximum velocity of the flow when a flood after construction was determined the final local scour depth of P14 and P17 at the Il-san bridge. It was ascertained that the local scour depth did not exceed the inserted depth of bridge foundation.

파랑에 의한 이중 파일 주변부 국부세굴 특성 분석 (Characteristics of Local Scour Around the Double Pile in Waves)

  • 강 하구나 천해역 등 파랑에 의해 영향을 받는 흐름장에서의 세굴은 한 방향 흐름에서의 세굴에 비해 예측이 어렵다. 해저 교량과 같은 원형 파일 주변부에서의 세굴 예측에 있어서 주요 관심사는 최대 세굴의 깊이와 발생 지점이다. 인접한 원형 파일이 2개 이상인 경우 파일 간의 간격과 정렬 방식에 따라 최대 세굴이 발생하는 위치 및 깊이는 단일 파일일 경우와 많은 차이를 나타낸다. 본 논문은 흐름의 크기를 나타내는 무차원 변수로서 KC 수를 산정하고 파일 간격과 흐름의 크기에 따른 상관성을 분석하였다.
