Results: As for the changed score between before-the-program and after-the-program, in the ADS test, it was found that there is a significant effect in the "commission error" which is one of the indices showing the degree of hyperactivity, and "sensitivity(d')" which is one of the indices showing attention, and it was found that there is a significant effect in ACRS and K -ARSC total), Among the correlations of the 4 variables, "ACRS" and "K-ARSC total) ", which show the comprecessive criteria, have the positive correlation of significance in before-the-program, after-the-program and the changed score between before-the-program and after-the-program, However, there was no specific correlations among sub-variables about attention or hyperactivity, and in all of 4 variables, there was no significant degree of change according to grade or gender. • The fundamental goal of this paper is to make a sketch of what trust looks like in Korean culture. To pursue this goal, we have resorted to materials linked to trust whose characteristics are theoretical, conceptual, observational and illustrational. Although a shortage of empirical and systematic data on trust is a big obstacle to profound understanding of trust operating in Korea, we would like to assign some significance to our attempt to conceptualize the concept of trust as it really is in the Maum(mind) of common Koreans. We believe that research paradigm for behavioral science should be cast off in research of mind-related phenomena like trust. A general practice cherished to date in doing psychological research is to pinpoint exclusively its focus on external manifestation of a given concept with no precedent analyses about it in anthropological and cultural-psychological perspectives. We would like to argue that complete understanding of naïve psychology of those phenomena should precede construction of psychological theories about them. That is, knowledge of interpretations, experiences and theories laypersons have in relation to mind-related phenomena has to be underpinnings of further theoretical elaborations about those phenomena.

  • Based on the broad and in-depth literature review, the dedicated members of the committee for the development of Korean attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) practice parameter develop the Korean practice parameter for ADHD. Members of the Korean Academy of child and Adolescent Psychiatry (KACAP) had reviewed the drafts through off-line and on-line access to the drafts. Feedbacks from the members of KACAP were carefully integrated into the current practice parameter. This article presents the state of the art knowledge regarding the assessment and the management of ADHD. Recommendations in the end of the practice parameter may help clinician to make decisions in clinical practice, but are not likely to override the clinician's decision in natural settings. Future directions to complement the limitation of the current practice parameter is suggested.

  • This practice parameter for non-pharmacological treatment for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) review the domestic and international literature on the psychosocial treatment of children and adolescents with ADHD. This parameter include the parental training & education, cognitive behavior therapy(group or individual), social skill training, family therapy, play therapy (individual psychotherapy) and non-traditional therapy (art therapy, herbal therapy et al). Among them, there is some proven evidence only in parental training & education and cognitive behavior therapy. So, this parameter describes some details only in the field of parental training & education and cognitive behavior therapy. The efficacy or effectiveness, especially, cost-effectiveness of specific psychosocial treatment method for ADHD cannot be fairly assessed due to the scarcity of controlled clinical data. Based on the clinical expert consensus and limited evidence, we cautiously suggest the practice recommendations about the non-pharmacological psychosocial treatment fur children and adolescents with ADHD.
