Ultrasonic vibrator is an equipment which atomizes and homogenization the oils by breaking the oil particles with ultrasonic cavitation, and would improve the properties. The present study deal with the ultrasonic breaking systems which recycle the shipborne waste oil into usable oil to be burnt. The first place, experimental studies were carried out to investigate the homogenizing effect of the waste oils by ultrasonic cavitation. Variation of the properties(viscosity, specific gravity and pH) and the matrix structures for the various shipborne waste oils were interpreted to analyse the breaking, dispersion effects by ultrasonic cavitation. The experimental results can be useful to the development of waste oil disposing systems.
A general characterization procedure based on the extraction of a 2n-port admittance matrix corresponding to n uniform coupled lines on the multi-layered substrate using the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) technique is presented. The frequency-dependent normal mode parameters are obtained from the 2n-port admittance matrix, which in turn provides the frequency-dependent distributed inductance and capacitance matrices. To illustrate the technique, several practical coupled line structures on multi-layered substrate, including a three-line structure, have been simulated. It is shown that the FDTD based time domain characterization procedure is an excellent broadband simulation tool for the design of multiconductor coupled lines on multilayered PCBs as well as thick or thin hybrid structures.
When analyzing the scatting problem of multi-layered structures using closed-form Green's function, one of the main difficulties is that the numerical integrations for the evaluation of diagonal matrix elements converge slowly and are not so stable. Accordingly, even when the integration for the singularity of type e$\^$-jkr//${\gamma}$/, corresponding to the source dipole itself, is performed using such a mathod, this difficulty persists in the integration corresponding to the finite number of complex images. In order to resolve this difficulty, a new technique based upon the Gaussian quadrature in polar coordinates for the evaluation of the two-dimensional generalized exponential integral is presented. Stability of the algorithm and convergence is discussed. Performance is demonstrated for the example of a microstrip patch antenna.
In this study, in order to perform dynamic design of machine tools reasonably and effectively, a method was formulated to be applicable to the damped structures connected by joints having elasticity and damping by using substructure synthesis method. And a nonlinear solution method was proposed and it formulates the nonlinear parts by describing functions and uses the reducing transformation matrix by the substructure synthesis method. The results of frequency response analysis of a machine tool, where an NC lathe was partitioned by three parts of spindle, housing and bed-base part and the nonlinearity of bearing parts between spindle and housing was modelled, showed force dependency of the response.
This paper presents a high precision integration method for the dynamic response analysis of structures with holonomic constraints. A detail recursive scheme suitable for algebraic and differential equations (ADEs) which incorporates generalized forces is established. The matrix exponential involved in the scheme is calculated precisely using $2^N$ algorithm. The Taylor expansions of the nonlinear term concerned with state variables of the structure and the generalized constraint forces of the ADEs are derived and consequently, their particular integrals are obtained. The accuracy and effectiveness of the present method is demonstrated by two numerical examples, a plane truss with circular slot at its tip point and a slewing flexible cantilever beam which is currently interesting in optimal control of robot manipulators.

The present paper investigates the stochastic seismic responses of steel structure systems with Partially Restrained (PR) connections by using Perturbation based Stochastic Finite Element (PSFEM) method. A stiffness matrix formulation of steel systems with PR connections and PSFEM and MCS formulations of structural systems are given. Based on the formulations, a computer program in FORTRAN language has been developed, and stochastic seismic analyses of steel frame and bridge systems have been performed for different types of connections. The connection parameters, material and geometrical properties are assumed to be random variables in the analyses. The Kocaeli earthquake occurred in 1999 is considered as a ground motion. The connection parameters, material and geometrical properties are considered to be random variables. The efficiency and accuracy of the proposed SFEM algorithm are validated by comparison with results of Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) method.
Since the mega frame structure has significant numbers of elements and nodes, it takes tremendous times and computer memories to analyze and design the structures. Therefore, the exclusive structural analysis program for mega frame system is developed to reduce the efforts and time required for the analysis and design of mega frame structure. To this end, an efficient modelling technique using the characteristics of mega frame structures and an efficient analytical model, which uses a few DOFs selected by the user using the matrix condensation method. are developed in tins study. Static and dynamic analyses are conducted using an example structure.

In this research, a controller design method based on optimization is proposed that can satisfy constraints on maximum responses of building structures subject to ground excitation modeled by partially stationary stochastic process. The class of controllers to be optimized is restricted to LQR. Weighting matrix on controlled outputs is used as design variable. Objective function constraint functions and their gradients are computed parameterizing control gain with Riccati matrix. Full state feedback controllers designed by Proposed optimization method satisfy various design objectives and their necessary maximum control forces are computed fur the production of actuator. Probabilities of maximum responses match statistical data from simulation results well.
In this study, a method that estimates stiffness and mass matrices of shear building from modal test data is presented. This method applied of building depends on the number of measurement points that are less in number than the total structural degrees of freedom, and on the first two orders of structural mode measured. By means of this method it is possible to use modal data of unmeasurable points to estimate total stiffness and mass matrices of structure. Some examples are studied in this paper, and its result shows that this method is reliable.
The sludge oils were produced necessarily in the ships operation, so that it will be the best way to manage the sludge oils inside ship itself from a viewpoint of the prevention of marine oil pollution from ship. The present study deal with the ultrasonic breaking systems which recycle the sludge oil from ships into usable oil to be burnt. The first place, experimental studies were carried out to investigate the homogenizing effect of the marine oils by repeated vibration of ultrasonic transducer. Variation of the properties(viscosity, specific gravity and pH) and the matrix structures for the environment of various marine oils were interpreted to analyze the breaking, dispersion effects by cavity. The experimental results can be useful to the development of sludge oil disposing systems.
