The book Su Hak Ip Mun(數學入門, Introduction to Mathematics) is one part of 5 sections of the book Seung Aeh Ill Chan(升厓日簒), which is a hand written manuscript in Chinese characters and the author and the date of writing is unknown. The book Seung Aeh Ill Chan begins with the song of division table so called Guguiga(九歸歌). We first investigate and compare the writing pattern of this with other old Korean mathematical books. Next, we investigate typical expression and calculation methods of mathematical contents and terminologies used in Su Hak Ip Mun and also figure out oddities of writing pattern of mathematical expression and cultural circumference of several problems dealt in the book. From these analysis and investigation, we estimate the writing date of Su Hak Ip Mun later than the year 1723 on which Su Ri Jeong On(數理精蘊) was first published. And we presumably guess that Guguiga and Su Hak Ip Mun are made not for practical use or theoretical purpose but for text to teach students.

In the present work we introduce Gaussian vertex prime labeling and investigate Gaussian vertex prime labeling for gear graph, book graph, wheel graph, kayak paddle, one point union of gear graph and one point union of wheel graph.

본 연구는 5차 교육과정에서 처음 도입된 보조교과서인 수학익힘책에 대한 연구이다. 교육과정의 변천과 함께 수학익힘책도 세 차례의 개정이 있었다. 본 연구에서는 수학익힘책의 도입 과정에 대한 문헌고찰을 기초로 하여, 수학익힘책의 도입 목적, 개발 방향, 수학익힘책의 구성 체제, 교육과정과 관련된 수학익힘책이라는 네 가지 측면에서 수학익힘책에 대한 비교 결과를 체계적으로 분석하였다.

This study aims to analyze Pardies' ${\ll}$Elements of geometry${\gg}$. This book is very interesting from the perspectives of mathematical history as well as of mathematical education. Because it was used for teaching Kangxi emperor geometry in the Qing Dynasty in China instead of Euclid's which was considered as too difficult to study geometry. It is expected that this book suggests historical and educational implications because it appeared in the context of instruction of geometry in the seventeenth century of mathematical history. This study includes the analyses on the contents of Pardies' ${\ll}$Elements of geometry${\gg}$, the author's advice for geometry learning, several geometrical features, and some features from the view of elementary school mathematics, of which the latter two contain the comparisons with other authors' as well as school mathematics. Moreover, some didactical implications were induced based on the results of the study.

Ju-Seo-Gwan-Gyeon is a mathematical book of Chosun dynasty by Jo Tae Gu. This study is to analyze his understanding for the 'Gujang' in the 'Gujang-Mundab'. From this study, we were able to see the contents of 'Gujang-Mundab' that has been unknown in detail so far. In this study, the following facts are found. Most parts of 'Gujang' in 'Gujang-Mundab' was explained the same as Gu-Jang-San-Sul. This indicates that Ju-Seo-Gwan-Gyeon was influenced by Gu-Jang-San-Sul. However, Ju-Seo-Gwan-Gyeon also contains what he wrote with his own understanding. We expect that the results provide basic information for mathematics history in Korea.

In this paper we study Soltan & Meidman's method that is able to be used in mathematical discovery. We analyze Soltan & Meidman's book "Tozdestva i Neravenstva v Treugolike" that is published in Moldova Republic. In this work we formulate Soltan & Meidman's method related with discovery of triangle's various equalities, and use the method to discovery mathematical equalities. As a result we suggest some new mathematical equalities related with triangle's sides and its proof.

Iksan(翼算) written by Lee Sang Hyuk(李相赫, 1810∼\ulcorner) is unique among mathematical books published in Chosun Dynasty since it is the only book which accomplishes the conceptualization of theory of equations if not that of mathematics itself. We investigate its process by his other publications and mathematical interaction with Nam Byung Gil(南秉吉, 1820∼1869).

In this paper, we research contents of the ancient book ; Dae-su-sul (Algebra) compiled by Heng-Fang Hua(華衡芳) and translated by John Fryer(傅蘭雅). We find methods of calculation and algorithm in the first and second volume of Dae-su-sul, and investigate the influence on modern Korean mathematical development.
