전자기 벡터장 시각화를 위한 Mathematica 시뮬레이션 (Electromagnetic Vector Fields Simulation with Mathematica)

  • 전자기장을 포함한 대부분의 물리학적 시스템이 벡터 미분 연산자들로 기술되며 또한 벡터연산을 통하여 계산된다. 그러므로 이들 벡터장들이 유전 및 자성물질 시스템들과 상호작용할 때 물리적 체계를 기술하고 계산하려면 정확한 전자기 벡터장의 지식체계를 이해할 필요가 있다. 그런데 이들 대부분 추상적 개념들을 직관적으로 이해하기에는 쉽지 않기 때문에 이들 추상적 개념의 시각화 표현 작업은 오늘날 지식정보화 수행과정에서 매우 중요한 과제의 하나다. 우리는 전자기학 체계를 구성하는 가장 기본적인 벡터장: $\vec{E}=-\vec{\nabla}_{\varphi}$, $\vec{D}={\epsilon}\vec{E}$, $\vec{\nabla}{\times}\vec{A}$, $\vec{B}={\mu}\vec{H}$, $\vec{B}={\mu}_0(\vec{\nabla}_{\varphi}{^*}+\vec{M})$들의 가시화 시뮬레이션을 Mathematica 프로그램으로 작성하여 추상적인 전자기벡터장의 시각화 모델을 제시하였다. 이 시뮬레이션을 전자기 벡터장의 물리학적 지식체계를 탐구해 가는 기본 플랫폼으로 활용할 수 있다.

  • Trot(1999) considered how to calculate the expected area of a random triangle in the unit square $[0,1]{\times}[0,1]$. He used the Mathematica software package for the computational part. In this article, we study various aspects of the probability distribution of a triangle randomly chosen inside the circle of radius r. A simulation activity that can be conducted in statistics and probability classrooms is also considered.

  • The PMMA plates with periodic ~200 nm nanosized patterned array were fabricated through the nanoimprint technique with their proper Ni stamper. The computer coding was also made with the Mathematica language software via RCWA (Rigorous Continuous Wave Analysis) and it is confirmed that simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental ones.

  • In the present work, we have developed the simulator to optimize the process conditions of the AR(antireflection) and HR(high-reflection) coatings for the high power laser diode. The simulator can run on the PC. After making the simple optical model, we establish the Maxwell equations for the model by the operator conversion. By using the Mathematica, we derive a matrix for the multilayer system by applying the equations to the model and optimize the AR and HR coating process conditions by obtaining the reflection rate from the matrix. We also prove the validity of the simulator by comparing the simulation with the characteristics of the laser diode which is AR and HR coated according to the optimized conditions.

  • WCDMA용 SAW 필터를 제작하기 위하여 mathematica package를 이용한 모의 실험기를 개발하였으며, 전극재료로는 Al-Cu를 사용하였다. 모의실험한 자료를 바탕으로 전극에서 발생하는 ultimate rejection을 줄이기 위해 SFIT형태의 필터를 설계 및 제작하였다. 회절에 의한 현상을 최소화하기 위해 필터의 입력단은 block weighted IDT 형태로, 출력단은 withdrawal weighted IDT형태로 구성하였다. Langasite 기판위에 형성시킨 입 출력 빗살무늬 변환기 전극 수는 50쌍, 두께와 폭은 5000$\AA$와 1λ4(((equation omitted) 3.6$\mu\textrm{m}$)로 하였으며, IDT 전극 폭과 전극간격 은 각각 1λ/16와 1λ/8로 하였다. 제작한 SAW 필터의 특성은 중심주파수는 190MHz, 통과대역은 4MHz이며 저지대역은 -60dB이하로 측정되었다.

나노미터 패턴 회절격자 도광판의 광특성 (Optical Characteristics of LGP with Nanometer-patterned Grating)

  • The LGP with nanometer structures resulted in enhancement of optical efficiency. Its fundamental mechanism is to recycle the polarized light via one round-trip through QWP(Quarter-Wave Plate) but the maximum efficiency to reach with this method is limited up to 2. To get the larger efficiency than this limited one a LGP with nanometer-patterned grating is suggested. For its optimum design the computer simulation is performed and suggests a grating that the spatial frequency between adjacent patterns is 500nm, its height 250nm, duty cycle 50%, and its cross section is rectangular. On the basis of simulation results the LGP with nanometer-patterned grating is fabricated and its optical properties such as angular intensity distribution and CIE color coordinates are characterized. The angles of transmitted light are nearly the same as the results expected from the generalized Snell's law. Thus the Mathematica code, developed in this experiment, will be applied to designing the optimized LGP. The LGP with nanometer-patterened grating shows the enhancement of transmitted intensity distribution up to 4.9 times.

자유곡면을 가공하는 공작기계 체적오차의 일반화 해석 (A Generalized Analysis of Volumetric Error of a Machine Tool Machining a Sculpture)

  • This paper suggests generalize mathematica mode for the benefit of volumetric error analysis of a multi-axis machine tool machining a sculptured surfaces. The volumetric error, in this paper, is defined as a three dimensional error at the cutting point, which is caused by the geometric errors and the kinematic errors of each axis and alignment errors of the cutting tool. The actual cutting position is analyzed based on the form shaping model including a geometric error of the moving carriage, where a form shaping model is derived from the homogeneous transformation matrix. Then the volumetric error is obtained by calculating the position difference between the actual cutting position and the ideal one calculated from a Nonuniform Rational B-Spline named as NURES. The simulation study shows the effectiveness for predicting the behavior of machining error and for the method of error compensation.

  • This paper is described the program algorithm which can easily estimate dynamics of test support system by using mathematica tool based on the finite element method. We can determine the geometry, dimensions of the test support system, through tool stated in this paper for a certain test conditions. As a result of computer simulation and manufactured test support system's experiment in oder to verify suggested program, the dynamics of the test support system was well correspondent each other.
