고온 축열재료의 특성 (Characteristics of High-Temperature Energy Storage Materials)

  • This review evaluates the state of art in the field of high-temperature energy storage materials and systems. The physical and chemical properties, corrosion data and practical applications of the phase change materials, especially the inorganic salts applicable to storage temperature in the range of $100-850^{\circ}C$ have been summarized. Fluoride salts have excellent thermal storage properties, but these are less attractive in terms of cost and corrosion problem of container materials. The nitrate and nitrite have attractive properties in the temperature range up to $600^{\circ}C$, at which the rate of decomposition becomes unacceptable. Carbonates euteutic salts can be considered as the most promising energy storage material on the basis of their low cost and excellent material compatibility for corrosion in the temperature range up to $850^{\circ}C$.

Application of numerical methods for dynamic response induced by moving load on concrete shells containing nanoparticles with economic study

  • This paper conducts a thorough economic evaluation of integrating nanoparticles into concrete structures within the construction industry, aiming to elevate the material properties of concrete. Employing the Halpin-Tsai micromechanics theory for deriving the effective material properties of the nanocomposite concrete structure, the research investigates the nuanced impact of nanoparticles on various mechanical properties, including the modulus of elasticity, compressive strength, and their indirect effects on the percentage of reinforcement. Implementing the Euler theory to formulate the governing equation based on Hamilton's principle, the study delves into the pricing dynamics of nanoparticles and their influence on the overall cost structure of concrete structures. Notably, the findings reveal that a measured increase in the volume percentage of nanoparticles, up to 1%, results in a remarkable 78% improvement in elastic modulus and a substantial 142% reduction in armature percentage. Remarkably, from an economic perspective, the incremental cost associated with the integration of nanoparticles is relatively modest (around $1 per ton of concrete), considering the substantial enhancements in mechanical properties achieved.

  • 본 연구는 RC 휨부재에서 동일한 안전율을 갖으면서 경제성을 확보할 수 있는 휨 철근비를 결정하는 방법에 관한 실용적 연구이다. 재료비 및 인건비를 고려하여 공사비 함수를 구성하였고, 최저공사비를 유도하는 경제적 휨 철근비를 결정하는 식을 제안하였다. 제안식을 통해 단철근보의 최적 철근비는 0.65~1.0%를 추천하였다.

  • This study was conducted to find the method that the least-cost formula can be determined thus allowing a better keeping of raw material supplies under the constraints having to be used some raw materials that are either in limited supply or for other reason in restricted use. In this study, it was considered that three kinds of feed were produced under limited supply of six kinds of raw materials, and data for the analysis were collected from a feed mill in southern part of Korea. According to the result of this study, it was proved better to determine the least-cost formula as the multi-mix problem than as the simple least-cost problem when more than two kinds of feed were produced wilt limited supply of raw materials.

  • If we build new building after demolition of commercial building that is located in the downtown, it will be caused a social and environmental problem as wasting of resources and generating of waste. In this study, I investigated about remodel ins, this conclusion is given below. 1. Reconstruction cost is 2.1 times, and construction period is 1.4 times as much remodeling. So remodeling has an advantage. 2. For repairing and reinforcing timeworn building, we reinforced it as using carbon fiber sheet (girder, slab) and injecting method steel plate bonding Also, we tried to maintain efficiency of new building as using epoxy to protect concrete crack. 3. In the side of waste products and cost, remodeling has much more advantage than reconstruct. But demolition used construction period much. Because it had to be reused as repairing and reinforcing. And there was no difference between remodeling cost and reconstruct cost. If we develop research with enterprise.university.laboratory to exploit material and equipment and to train specialized engineer who will has a capacity to know construct repair and reinforce, it can be attribute to prevail remodeling in new construct market.

Design of Torsion-typed Smooth Picture Actuator for DLP Projection TV

  • Smooth picture module is operated by vibration to tilt the light from the DMD (digital micro mirror device) of DLP projection TV, which makes the screen of the TV smoother and DMD chip cost lower. To satisfy the vibration characteristics of smooth picture module, it is designed by optimizing moment of inertia, spring constant and damping coefficient, using structural and fluid dynamic simulation that showed a good agreement with experimental data. To reduce the material cost and moment of inertia, engineering plastic is used and the reliability is estimated. A VCM (voice coil motor) type actuator for smooth picture has to satisfy performance requirements such as higher driving force, lower power consumption, and lower cost. The initial design and optimization for VCM was performed using FE analysis. It allowed us to optimize the design of magnetic circuit of the proposed actuator to obtain higher force while maintaining a lower cost.

  • When a new facility such as automobile assembly line is designed, computer simulation is often used to estimate its actual throughput level. If it falls short of the target throughput level, then the design must be modified to increase the throughput capacity. For complex facilities having parallel processes and network of material flows, the modification procedure is not trivial. Even if the capacity of a particular bottleneck process is increased, the target throughput may not be achieved because the bottleneck may move to another process. Furthermore, each process has a different set of options with different cost to increase the capacity. In this study, we present a systematic procedure of determining the cost-effective set of options which achieves the target throughput.

  • Recently, the design problem of heat insulation have been reappraised in the aspect of energy saving due to the rising trend of energy cost. For example, that design problem is increasingly requsted in the fields of accommodation air conditioning systems, hot water supply systems, cargo handling systems, district heating or cooling systems. The rational design of heat insulation of piping systems can not only improve the overall efficiency of energy transfer but also give energy saving. In this paper, the heat insulation problem of district heating systems is therefore modeled as the multi-stage decision processes, suitable for dynamic programming technique. And take the object function as the sum of heat insulation material cost involved construction cost and heat loss cost, and propose the design method to minimize the object function for overall piping systems by dynamic programing. Effectiveness of design method presented here is proved by a computer simulation.

  • In this paper, I have approached the problem of scheduling that can be reasonably cost down and duration down in the tenement house by using PERT/CPM technics. The tenement house of 'M' construction company consistute 78 element workings in total. I made out the net-work scheduling through 78 element workings, after calculating by computer, G-COS 101, I reduced the duration and cost by MCX, and then enforced from the least cost slope to six times. Resulty, I attained PERT/CPM scheduling for construction scheduling ; a) Make Possible the effectiveness budgeting control b) How the scientific materials c) Make possible the reasonably decision making d) Strengthen the material control by relevance of element workings e) Make possible the duration down through the least cost.

  • Efficient scheduling and resource management are the key factor to reduce construction project budget (e.g., labor cost, equipment cost, material cost, etc.). Resource-based line of balance (LOB) technique has been used to complement the limitations of time-driven scheduling techniques (e.g., critical-path method). Optimizing construction alternatives contributes cost savings while honoring the project deadline. However, existing LOB scheduling is lack of identifying optimal resource combination. This study presents a method which identifies the optimal construction alternatives, hence achieving resource minimization in a repetitive construction by using genetic algorithm (GA). The method provides efficient planning tool that enhances the usability of the system.
