  • In this paper we propose an angular rate and acceleration matching method for initial transfer alignment in aircraft. The conventional angular rate and acceleration matching method performs compensation for the lever arm effects between the master and slave INS before initial alignment. However, the conventional method does not take the flexure angular acceleration into account and thus is not effective when the flexure angular acceleration is large. We propose a new angular rate and acceleration matching method to cope with the flexure acceleration between the master and slave INS and compare the results with those of the conventional method by simulation. The simulation results show that the proposed matching method is better than the conventional matching method in case of large flexure acceleration.

  • Transfer alignement is the process of initializing attitude of slave INS using the data of master INS. This paper presents the performance analysis of transfer alignment at sea using convariance analysis method. Velocity & angle matching and angular rate & acceleration matching are used for analysis, and the performance of two matching methods are compared. We propose a new method for angular rate & acceleration matching. Under the assumption of accurate modeling of ship flexure, the performance of transfer alignment time and accuray is improved very much for the new method.

  • In this paper, a matching method is proposed to improve the correct matching rate in stereo correspondence matching in which the fingerprint of zero-crossing points on the scale-space is used as the robust matching feature. The dynamic programming, which is appropriate for the fingerprint feature, is introduced for correspondence matching. We also improve the matching rate by using the post-processing for correcting mismatched points. In simulation, we apply the proposed algorithm to the synthetic and real images and obtain good matching results.

  • In order to increase the capacity and improve the spectrum efficiency of wireless communication systems, this paper proposes a rate-based two-sided many-to-one matching game algorithm for energy-harvesting small cells with non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) in heterogeneous cellular networks (HCN). First, we use a heuristic clustering based channel allocation algorithm to assign channels to small cells and manage the interference. Then, aiming at addressing the user access problem, this issue is modeled as a many-to-one matching game with the rate as its utility. Finally, considering externality in the matching game, we propose an algorithm that involves swap-matchings to find the optimal matching and to prove its stability. Simulation results show that this algorithm outperforms the comparing algorithm in efficiency and rate, in addition to improving the spectrum efficiency.

  • A joint template matching algorithm is proposed in this paper to reduce the high rate of miss-detection and false-alarm caused by the traditional template matching algorithm during the process of multi-object detection. The proposed algorithm can reduce the influence on each object by matching all objects together according to the correlation information among different objects. Moreover, the rate of miss-detection and false-alarm in the process of single-template matching is also reduced based on the algorithm. In this paper, firstly, joint template is created from the information of relative positions among different objects. Then, matching criterion according to normalized cross correlation is generated for multi-object matching. Finally, the proposed algorithm is applied to the detection of watermarks in bill. The experiments show that the proposed algorithm has lower miss-detection and false-alarm rate comparing to the traditional NCC algorithm during the process of multi-object detection.

  • Vessels can operate with their Automatic Identification System (AIS) turned off, prompting the development of strategies to identify them. Among these, utilizing satellites to collect radio frequency (RF) data in the absence of AIS has emerged as the most effective and practical approach. The purpose of this study is to develop a matching algorithm for RF with AIS data and find the RF's applicability to classify a suspected ship. Thus, a matching procedure utilizing three RF datasets and AIS data was employed to identify ships in the Yellow Sea and the Korea Strait. The matching procedure was conducted based on the proximity to AIS points, ensuring accuracy through various distance-based sections, including 2 km, 3 km, and 6 km from the AIS-based estimated points. Within the RF coverage, the matching results from the first RF dataset and AIS data identified a total of 798 ships, with an overall matching rate of 78%. In the cases of the second and third RF datasets, 803 and 825 ships were matched, resulting in an overall matching rate of 84.3% and 74.5%, respectively. The observed results were partially influenced by differences in RF and AIS coverage. Within the overlapped region of RF and AIS data, the matching rate ranged from 80.2% to 98.7%, with an average of 89.3%, with no duplicate matches to the same ship.

  • This paper proposes a method of occluded number recognition by matching interest points. Interest points of input pattern are found via SURF features extracting and matched to interest points of clusters in database following three steps: SURF matching, coordinate matching and SURF matching on coordinate matched points. Then the satisfied interest points are counted to compute matching rate of each cluster. The input pattern will be assigned to cluster having highest matching rate. We have experimented our method to different numerical fonts and got encouraging results.

  • Recently, in rehabilitation treatment, the situation that requires a measure of the accuracy of the pose and movement of joints is being increased due to the habits and lifestyle of modern people and the environment. In particular, there is a need for active automated system that can determine itself for the matching rate of pose Basically, a method for measuring the matching rate of pose is used by extracting an image using the Kinect or extracting a silhouette using the imaging device. However, in the case of extracting a silhouette, it is difficult to set the comparison, and in the case of using the Kinect sensor, there is a disadvantages that high accumulated error rate according to movement. Therefore, In this paper, we propose a method to reduce the accumulated error of matching rate of pose getting the rotation angle of joint by measuring the real-time amount of change of 9-axis sensor. In particular, it can be measured same conditions that unrelated of the physical condition and unaffected by the data for the back and forth movement, because of it compares the current rotation angle of the joint. Finally, we show a comparative advantage results by compared with traditional method of extracting a silhouette and a method using a Kinect sensor.

  • This paper proposes a new method of weighted template matching fur machine-printed numeral recognition. The proposed weighted template matching, which emphasizes the feature of a pattern using adaptive Hamming distance on local feature areas, improves the recognition rate while template matching processes an input image as one global feature. The experiment compares confusion matrices of the template matching, error back propagation neural network classifier, and the proposed weighted template matching respectively. The result shows that the proposed method improves fairly the recognition rate of the machine-printed numerals.
