Highspeed Packet Processing for DiffServ-over-MPLS TE on Network Processor

  • The paper proposes an implementation architecture of DiffServ-over-MPLS traffic engineering (TE) on Intel IXP2400 network processor using Intel IXA SDK 4.0 Framework. Program architecture and functions are described. Also fast and scalable range-match classification scheme is proposed for DiffServ-over-MPLS TE that has been integrated with functional blocks from Intel Microblocks library. Performance test shows that application can process packets at approximate data rate of 3.5 Gbps. The proposed implementation architecture of DiffServ-over-MPLS TE on Network processor can provide guaranteed QoS on high-speed next generation Internet, while being flexible and easily modifiable.

  • When multiple rates of return occur, none of them is an accurate portrayal of project acceptability or profitability. For the simple investment situation, it was known that the IRR can serve as an appropriate index for either accepting or rejecting the investment. But, in this situation, we present that the IRR criterion is not same to DCF criterion. On the contrary we can easily show that the RRR criterion is completely consistent with the DCF criterion. Thus, the RRR is very well match for an accurate portrayal of project acceptability or profitability.

  • In general, Single gap transflective FFS display has an in-cell retarder (ICR) between reflective electrode and liquid crystal (LC) layer. Therefore, Operating voltage is highly increased due to this thick dielectric material. But, we also knew the phenomenon that the increasing rate of Vop is different whether the 1st common electrode was composed of plate type or slit type. In this paper, the common electrode in transmissive part was composed of slit type which had less steepness effect of the V op and in reflective part was composed of plate type. The rubbing angle of reflective part can be adjusted properly to match the voltage dependent transmittance and reflectance.

AL6061-T4의 측면 엔드밀 가공에서 표면거칠기 예측을 위한 인공신경망 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of ANN for Surface Roughness Prediction in Side Milling AL6061-T4 by Endmill)

  • We applied an artificial neural network (ANN) and evaluated surface roughness prediction in lateral milling using an endmill. The selected workpiece was AL6061-T4 to obtain data of surface roughness measurement based on the spindle speed, feed, and depth of cut. The Bayesian optimization algorithm was applied to the number of nodes and the learning rate of each hidden layer to optimize the neural network. Experimental results show that the neural network applied to optimize using the Expected Improvement(EI) algorithm showed the best performance. Additionally, the predicted values do not exactly match during the neural network evaluation; however, the predicted tendency does march. Moreover, it is found that the neural network can be used to predict the surface roughness in the milling of aluminum alloy.

BER Performance Comparison for Intelligent Reflecting Surface in NOMA: Phase Shifts Perspective

  • As the sixth generation (6G) promising technique, intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) has recently attracted much attention. The IRS based wireless communication is expected to deploy the upcoming 6G mobile networks, to increase energy and spectrum efficiency in the fifth generation (5G) wireless networks. In this paper, we compare the bit-error rate (BER) performances for phase-shift schemes of IRS non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). First, we derive a BER expression for the equalizing phase-shift scheme in IRS-NOMA networks. Then we compare the BER of the equalizing phase-shift scheme to that of the identical phase-shift scheme in IRS-NOMA networks, and show the BER improvement of the equalizing phase-shift scheme IRS NOMA over the identical phase-shift scheme IRS NOMA. Furthermore, we also validate the proposed analytical BER for the equalizing phase-shift scheme in IRS-NOMA by Monte Carlo simulations, and demonstrate that they well match each other.

Heat source control intelligent system for heat treatment process

  • Although precise temperature control in the heat treatment process is a key factor in process reliability, there are many cases where there is no separate heat source control optimization system in the field. To solve this problem, the program monitors the temperature data according to the heat source change through sensor communication in a recursive method based on multiple variables that affect the process, and the target heat source value and the actual heat treatment heat source to match the internal air temperature and material temperature. A control optimization system was constructed. Through this study, the error rate between the target temperature and the atmosphere (material surface) temperature of around 10.7% with the existing heat source control method was improved to an improved result of around 0.1% using a process optimization algorithm and system.

  • Health Monitoring System is a sophisticating technology and another way to the normal/regular management of the health of the patient. This Health Monitoring Mobile Application is a contribution from our side to the public and to the overall health industry in Pakistan. With the help of Health mobile application, the users will be able to store their medical records, prescriptions and retrieve them later. The users can store and keep track of their vital readings (heart rate, blood pressure, fasting glucose, random glucose). The mobile application also shows hospitals that are nearby in case the user wants to avail of any medical help. An important feature of the application is the symptoms-based disease prediction, the user selects the symptoms which he has and then the application will name certain diseases that match those symptoms based on relevant algorithms. The major advances and issues have been discussed, and as well as potential tasks to health monitoring will be identified and evaluated.

인공지능 드론 배송 시스템의 구현 및 검증 (Implementation and Verification of Artificial Intelligence Drone Delivery System)

  • In this paper, we propose the implementation of a drone delivery system using artificial intelligence in a situation where the use of drones is rapidly increasing and human errors are occurring. This system requires the implementation of an accurate control algorithm, assuming that last-mile delivery is delivered to the apartment veranda. To recognize the delivery location, a recognition system using the YOLO algorithm was implemented, and a delivery system was installed on the drone to measure the distance to the object and increase the delivery distance to ensure stable delivery even at long distances. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the recognition system recognized the marker with a match rate of more than 60% at a distance of less than 10m while the drone hovered stably. In addition, the drone carrying a 500g package was able to withstand the torque applied as the rail lengthened, extending to 1.5m and then stably placing the package down on the veranda at the end of the rail.

도로표지내 글자간 적정 여백률에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Optimal Space Rate of Letters within Road Sign)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 표지 내부의 글자간 여백률에 따라 이용자가 이를 가독하는데 소요되는 시간의 차이를 증명함으로써, 경제적인 표지 규격을 산정하는데 활용하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해, 6개의 다른 여백률을 가진 표지군을 대상으로 가독시간에 대한 차이를 규명하기 위해 실내 모의실험을 시행하였다. 또한 실험결과를 토대로 하여 이용자의 오독률을 낮추기 위한 주요 요인을 찾아내기 위해 Binary Logit 모형을 개발하였다. 모형에 의하면, 가독성을 향상시키기 위해서는 도로표지의 단순한 크기의 확대뿐만이 아닌, 표지판 규격과 내부글자 크기와의 적정 조합에 의해 결정되는 여백률이 중요하다는 사실을 규명하였다. 본 연구는 도로표지와 글자의 규격에 따라 결정되는 여백률이 이용자의 가독성에 주는 영향을 정량적으로 증명하는데 그 의의가 있으며, 추후 표지의 적정 규격을 결정하는데 있어 유용한 접근방법으로 활용될 것이다

편마비 환자의 상지 재활 기기 운용을 위한 관절 각 추정 기법에 관한 연구 II (Study on The Estimation Method of the Joint for the Operation of the Upper Limb Rehabilitation Equipment for Hemiplegic Patients II)

  • 본 논문은 편마비환자들의 상지재활 기기 운용방법으로 건측에서 관성측정장치를 기반으로 한 관절각 추정 기법과 착용 과정에서 발생하는 측정축 뒤틀림을 보정하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법을 검증하기 위해 실험자 왼팔의 상완과 전완에 관성측정장치를 부착하였으며, 임의의 자세를 촬영하여 검출한 실제 관절 각과 관절각 추정한 각과 비교하여 검증 하였다. 그리고 측정축 뒤틀림을 보정하는 기법을 적용 전/후를 비교하여 검증하였다. 실험 결과 측정축 뒤틀림 보정을 적용전은 관절각 일치율이 89.16%로 저조한 일치율을 보였으나, 측정축 뒤틀림을 보정한 후에 관절각 일치율은 93.28%의 일치율로 4.12% 개선되었음을 확인 하였다.
