Clustering Analysis of Films on Box Office Performance : Based on Web Crawling (영화 흥행과 관련된 영화별 특성에 대한 군집분석 : 웹 크롤링 활용)

  • Forecasting of box office performance after a film release is very important, from the viewpoint of increase profitability by reducing the production cost and the marketing cost. Analysis of psychological factors such as word-of-mouth and expert assessment is essential, but hard to perform due to the difficulties of data collection. Information technology such as web crawling and text mining can help to overcome this situation. For effective text mining, categorization of objects is required. In this perspective, the objective of this study is to provide a framework for classifying films according to their characteristics. Data including psychological factors are collected from Web sites using the web crawling. A clustering analysis is conducted to classify films and a series of one-way ANOVA analysis are conducted to statistically verify the differences of characteristics among groups. The result of the cluster analysis based on the review and revenues shows that the films can be categorized into four distinct groups and the differences of characteristics are statistically significant. The first group is high sales of the box office and the number of clicks on reviews is higher than other groups. The characteristic of the second group is similar with the 1st group, while the length of review is longer and the box office sales are not good. The third group's audiences prefer to documentaries and animations and the number of comments and interests are significantly lower than other groups. The last group prefer to criminal, thriller and suspense genre. Correspondence analysis is also conducted to match the groups and intrinsic characteristics of films such as genre, movie rating and nation.

  • The Korean pharmaceutical industry has many pharmaceutical companies and business acquaintances, small quantity batch production and a lot of competition products having same ingredient. Under such a situation, an integrated distribution is said to be proper to lower distribution costs and deliver effectively: However, each business has different delivery conditions, timely delivery of small quantity batch order and other particular services, etc to have problems of competition of turnover increase. The study suggests measures below to lower distribution costs and to elevate sales business efficiency. First, Joint marketing of pharmaceuticals between pharmaceutical companies. Second, Joint delivery of three or less companies having similar business scales. Third, An agreement with wholesale distributors of unified distribution of pharmaceuticals being sold much. Fourthly, Wholesale distributors' pharmaceuticals distribution services. Fifthly, Cooperation of business acquaintance. In summary, the Korean pharmaceutical industry needs an integrated distribution system. Considering characteristics of the industry, however, the small pharmaceutical companies are thought to be difficult to accept the integrated distribution because complete integrated distribution may reduce sales.

  • This Study is Empirically Analyzed the Relationship among Personality, Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention of Marketing Counselor of Mutual aid Fund for Small Enterprises and Small Enterprisers. The Collected 205 Counselors Data were Verified the Cause-and-effect Relationship and Mediated Effects among Variables by Exploratory Factor Analysis, Reliability Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis. Personality Traits have a Significant Effect on Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention. Job Satisfaction was Proved to have a Mediating Effect Between Personality Factors and Turnover Intention. In order to Encourage the Counselor to work and to Improve the Effectiveness of System, this Study Suggested the Necessity of Job Satisfaction Improvement Strategy According to Personality Characteristics of Counselor.

  • My proposed Co-creation platform software analysis and design method in my paper, presents build technology of co-creation platform using Co-creation concepts refer to all process from products' idea level to products' design, manufacturing and marketing level. And this method can be possible to design and implement to be interlocked with company's cloud service and system through own SNS functions and OPEN API to build co-creation platform. Also owing to apply Wiki technology in the process of idea modification and completion level and provide cooperative work tools of story-board prototyping, it can be participate actively in the design process with customer and stakeholder together and realize functions to apply opinions. Therefore, Co-creation platform software analysis and design by objected-oriented analysis method is presented to show these design process effectively.

  • The development of EDI is playing a very great role in strengthening corporate competitiveness in the foreign market in addition to the expansion of the size of trade volumes between nations and the solution of the problem or streamlining procedures for trade as well as the smooth processing of trade business and cost and time savings effects. At point in time that corporate credibility and national image in Korea have greatly fallen in the IMF-supported regime, Korea is making every effort to restore its national credibility through the expansion of exports and focusing on the increase of exports through EDI for trade as part of this. Therefore. this study was intended to probe the EDI promotion strategy of the exporting firm with the development of EDI As a result, the following conslusion was drawn : (1) Development of the EDI system to provide immediate options. (2) Making the staff information - minded at a company-wide level. (3) Development of the website as the tool of the marketing strategy. (4) Construction of the Cyber Shopping Mall.

  • Except for traditional industrial art and history of design development, Korea jewelry industry before 1980's, had little meaning in the aspect of marketing and business. Domestic jewelry market which have changed from the value of goods to value of ornaments, faced important transition point for jewelry industry by the chance of in Asian Game held in 1986, and money of overseas traveler after 1980s. The rapidly-grown Jewelry field by the introduction of detail casting method to make it possible mass-production of the products before 1990's, began to change into new system, with introducing CAD/CAM after 1990's. Jewelry industry has changed from manual work called handmade to the detail casting industry based on master for mass-production. For this, the development of master, with the design development, have been suggested as important task to jewelry industry firms, and by the introduction of CAD/CAM, the diversification of design and master development has been made up. In this study, we would try to find out current status of domestic jewelry field and to understand CAD/CAM, and advantage of CAD/CAM, and through this, suggest good solution to precipitate domestic jewelry market.

A Study on the Process Improvement of International Air Cargo Transportation through the Incheon International Airport (인천국제공항의 국제항공화물운송 프로세스 개선과제에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted on the assumption that for Incheon international airport to become the logistics hub of northeast asia's region, it is necessary to investigate and analyze problems of forwarder's international air cargo transportation process, those factors and so on. The conditions of the process of international air cargo transportation was analysed individually according to the time required, satisfaction and problems of each step of process by dividing those into import and export. Consequently it turned out that the time required for the export process of the international air cargo transportation is longer by about 1 hour than the import process which means the improvement of import section rather than export is more urgent to improve the overall international air cargo transportation process. For the improvement of the process, it is also necessary to construct the international air cargo transportation' information system, secure competition of operating and to improve logistics standardization by considering all factors above.

  • This research analyzed the case of Ncsoft to study the organizational learning, exploitation and exploration that create dynamic capability in hypercompetitive environment. First of all, we demonstrated the activities of exploitation and exploration in Ncsoft according to the life cycle of online game industry. An exploitation related to routine, learning and fit with existing environment brings about incremental innovation. In contrast, an exploration associated with non-learning, flexibility with changing environment results in radical innovation. We examined them based on the life cycle of its various game services. NCsoft that built the leading position in online game industry focused the exploitation activities at the stage of beginning period and growth, whereas NCsoft has increased the activities of exploration at period of mature. In addition, the firm conducts an exploration for its brand new game services and R&D. Conversely, An exploitation is conducted for sustainable updating of patch service and marketing and system building. The result implies that online game companies create sustainable competitive advantage using the balance between exploitation and exploration.

  • Since the last decades, livestock ranching has been fast industrialized and the global trade of meat products is sheer increasing. And the Korean government opened its domestic beef market to meet increasing domestic demand for beef. In this context, domestic beef production took its way to specialization and scale economies, and subsequently the commodity chain of beef became different from the conventional one. Such institutions as beef quality grade, HACCP, and brand marketing have strong influence on current beef production systems. Furthermore, along with the macro-scale change, regional and local systems and actors also transform the beef commodity chain. Hampyong-gun, which had once been a declining rural and under-served region in the past, is now actively reviving its economy by producing industrialized, specialized, and localized beef. Such native beef production is both impacted by and associated with multi-scaled actors, their institutions and supporting discourses. These heterogeneous actors and institutions form a newer form of native beef system in the region.

Current situation and future prospects for global beef production: overview of special issue

  • The demand for beef as a protein source is increasing worldwide, although in most countries beef accounts for considerably less than half of total meat consumption. Beef also provides a highly desirable eating experience in developed countries and, increasingly, in developing countries. The sustainability of beef production has different meanings in the various geographical and socio-economic regions of the world. Natural resources including land mass and uses, rainfall and access to livestock feed, and the robustness of the economy are major determinants of the perception of beef sustainability. In this overview of the 2016 International Symposium on "Future Beef in Asia" and this subsequent Special Edition of the Asian-Australasian Journal of Animal Sciences on "Current Situation and Future Prospects for Global Beef Production", the contributions have been grouped into the following categories: Countries in Southeast Asia; Europe; and Countries producing highly marbled beef for export and/or domestic consumption. They also include reference to Special Topics including marbled beef production, and use of "omics" technologies to enhance beef quality assurance. Among these broad categories, notable differences exist across countries in the production and marketing of beef. These reflect differences in factors including natural resource availability and climate, population size, traditional culture and degree of economic development including industrial and technological developments. We trust that the International Symposium and this Special Edition on Current Situation and Future Prospects for Global Beef Production, the contents of which that are briefly summarized in this paper, will serve as a valuable resource for the livestock industries, researchers and students with an interest in enhancing the prospects for sustainable, efficient beef production that satisfies the growing size and complexity of consumer demands and markets for beef.
