기업환경과 제휴성공요인에 대한 섬유업체들의 인식 (Perceptions of Textile Companies on Business Environments and Alliance Success Factors)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine the alliance success factors (ASF) and the business environments (BE) from the textile companies' viewpoint, to examine the differences in ASF and BE by firm characteristics, and to examine the relationships between BE and ASF. BE included the degree of market competition and the firm's competitive advantage, and firm characteristics included type of business, the number of employees, and length of business operation. Data were obtained from 155 textile companies in Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions in Korea via a questionnaire survey. Four factors including relationship capital, organizational support, alliance management, and alliance performance were extracted from ASF, and resources, product development, and marketing were extracted from the firm's competitive advantage. There were differences in product development by the number of employees and in the degree of market competition by type of business. The degree of market competition had significant relationships with all of ASF while the firm's competitive advantage differed in the relationships.

병원 코디네이터도입이 병원경영성과에 미치는 영향분석 (Study on the Role of Hospital Coordinators with System Dynamics Approach)

  • The competition between hospitals has become an issue for many hospitals because of the sudden increased number of health providers. As the marketing or customer management have become important factors as means of competition, a number of hospital have been considered or already adopted the coordination system. A system dynamics model is developed to see the effect of the hospital coordination system. This paper after briefly explaining the structure of the system dynamics model, discusses the roles of the hospital coordination system with examples. The system dynamics model quantifies through simulations the process of effects of coordination system on the number of customers, productivities of employees (nurses and doctors), and finally the financial status. As a conclusions of the simulations and their analysis, it is concluded that coordination system could be more effective than the investment to the facilities. Since the study is based on only one hospital case, it is limited. However, it explains the mechanism of the coordination system quantitatively as well as qualitatively.

병원 선택 속성간의 계층적 구조 분석 (An Hierarchical Structure Analysis of Hospital Selection Attributes)

  • As the competition among hospitals become intensified, hospital management is required to carry out more effective marketing and positioning of the hospital. Successful positioning of a hospital requires the knowledge about how the concrete attributes inherent in the medical service associated with the customer values that customers seek eventually in the medical service. Thus, it is required for hospital management to understand which hospital attributes should be emphasized in order to improve the customer values. The hierarchical structure of service attributes can provide valuable information about effective positioning and advertising. To obtain such knowledge, we employed the order analysis technique as an objective means-end chain method. Order analysis is useful for identifying the causal structure among attributes. Thus, we can examine the underlying causal relationship and eventually the vertical structure of hospital selection attributes. For this study, we conducted a survey to obtain 370 responses for the analysis. The result suggests that hospital management had better increase the scale of hospital, improve the services of health care providers, and modernize the hospital facilities and equipments so as to enhance customer values and eventually to lead them to recommend the hospital to others. Our findings would provide the valuable information for hospital management to develop the more effective hospital positioning and marketing strategies.

한국 소상공인의 조직화 인식도 상호관계에 관한 실증적 연구와 정책적 시사점 : 군집분석을 이용한 접근 (An Empirical Study and Policy Implications Regarding Correlations of Korean Small Businessman's Perception of Systematization Using Cluster Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 소상공인 조직화를 프랜차이즈, 공동브랜드, 업종별 협회, 시 군 구에 등록된 상인회로 구분하고, 조직화된 소상공인들의 경영전략 선정에 있어서 어떠한 가치관을 가지는 지에 대하여 군집분석에 의한 실증분석을 시도하였다. 연구결과, 조직화된 소상공인들은 인구통계적인 특성에서 성별, 학력, 연령별로 유의한 조직화 인지와 조직화 효과 그리고 최종적인 경영성과에 차이가 있음을 밝혀냈다. 또한 조직화된 소상공인들의 경영전략 가치관에 대하여 군집분석을 실시한 결과, 가격 경쟁지향과 마케팅 경쟁지향, 무개념 경영등 3가지 유형의 프로파일을 도출할 수 있었다. 이러한 소상공인의 조직화에 대한 프로파일 도출과 조직화 인식도에 따른 경영성과 상호관계에 대한 연구 결과가 의미하는 바는, 향후 정부에서는 자영업의 시설개선과 현대화 사업 못지않게 소상공인 조직화 개발과 지도와 같은 경영현대화 사업에 더욱 많은 노력을 경주하여야 하는 필요성을 밝혀 주었다.

점포속성과 고객특성 적합성이 미용실 점포충성도에 미치는 영향 (The Impacts of Store Attributes and Customer Characteristic on Customer Loyalty to Beauty Shops)

  • This study was designed to find what impacts store attributes and personal characteristics have had on customer loyalty to beauty shops. Participants were 283 men and women who had experienced services in beauty shops and selected from the Metropolitan area, Busan, Gyeongbuk area, Gyeongnam area, Chungcheong area, and other area. In conclusion, technical factor and lifestyle have had the greatest impact on customer loyalty to beauty shops. In beauty market faced with keen competition, the way to meet customers' needs is to run a distinguished beauty shop with distinct beauty techniques in consideration of individual lifestyle. This will help raise customer loyalty to beauty shops. This study has the important implication that personal characteristics as well as store attributes has been proved to be essential for increasing customer loyalty to beauty shops. I hope that future studies will continue to examine different marketing factors by different beauty shops, with additional analysis on the details, contributing to make a marketing strategy available for beauty shop owners.

Organizational Learning as Catalyst to Technological Innovation

  • With rapid change and intensive competition in the global economy, the capability to capture, absorb, develop, and transfer new knowledge is a key organizational success factor. Through effective learning, companies are more likely to develop the innovation, quality, and responsiveness essential to meet the growing expectations of customers and the disruptive threats of competitors and new technologies. In the paper the role of technological innovation and its relationship to organizational learning in managing technology-based new products are examined. Several factors which can influence the rate and effectiveness of organizational learning are identified. Barriers to learning also are discussed. Finally, several managerial implications and propositions for future research on learning and technological innovation are advanced.

  • In this study, we examined the effect of customer satisfaction and switching cost on continuous use intention to suggest how organizations can retain their customers when market growth slows down and competition becomes stronger. We carefully developed and modified survey instruments through a pre-test, and subsequently surveyed 432 dental care users in Seoul and Busan areas. As a result of regression analysis, higher procedural learning switching cost, relational switching cost, and customer satisfaction were manifested in the increased continuous use intention. In contrast, higher financial switching cost and customer satisfaction with insufficient effort for information acquisition led to decreased switching intention. In addition, procedural initial switching cost and residents in Seoul led to increased switching intention. Understanding continuous use intention and switching intention is important for healthcare institutions striving to maintain market position. The findings of this study suggest a paradigm shift from conventional transactional marketing to strategic relational marketing to be effective in the healthcare environment today.

G-ASPOO-L: The Technopreneurship-Based Supply Chain Management Model for Souvenirs MSMEs to Reach Customer Value Creation

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research is to identify and design a model for the integration between marketing and supply chain management (SCM) of technopreneurship-based souvenirs MSMEs to fulfil customer value creation. Research design, data and methodology: This research method uses the system development life cycle method. This study draws its insights and conclusions from a literature review in several fields followed by an interactive research approach that helps identify, validate, and implement a theoretical framework so that the modelling results can be adopted in applicative manner for souvenir MSMEs. Result: Implementing the "G-ASPOO-L" supply chain management integration model based on technopreneruship to fulfil value creation in the 5.0 society era created three perspectives: an inter-functional perspective, a process perspective, and an integrated business concept perspective. The supply chain management involves enterprise integration, strategic customer integration, strategic supplier integration, and marketing strategy integration. Conclusion: The proposed model framework leads to managerial problems of supply chain management strategy, which urgently requires an interaction approach that challenges the traditional view of demand creation and implementation of supply chain management to fulfil value creation. This research leverages existing knowledge and advances our understanding of the strategic integration issues companies face in digital-based competition.

Determinants of Implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning System: A Case Study in Vietnam

  • Under the pressure of business competition and effectiveness, more and more organizations in the world are likely to apply modern software such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) which can help them to create better organizing practice, better managing capabilities of administrators, and better operations of personnel. In Vietnam, many firms are afraid to install it and the number of firms adopting this software is limited mainly due to the insufficient scientific evidence of the successful implementation of ERP. This study aims to identify and measure the factors influencing the successful implementation of ERP of firms in Vietnam. Qualitative research methodology combined with quantitative research methodology is used. The data are surveyed with 343 administrators of 45 organizations that have successfully deployed ERP in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh cities. Of these 19 were excluded from analyses due to unsatisfactory responses, and only 324 were used for statistical processing. The collected data were processed by using the SPSS software. The result of the study shows that there are six factors affecting the successful implementation of ERP of firms in Vietnam, (ranked in descending order of importance), they are top management commitment and support, business process re-engineering, user involvement, project management board, vendor support, and suitability of software and hardware.

방송통신 결합상품의 경품규제 제도개선에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Improvement of Promotional Gift Regulation on Broadcast-Telecommunication Bundling Services)

  • Broadcast-telecommunication bundling services provide customized services and reduce household telecommunication costs, contributing to the improvement of users' welfare. However, following the recent fierce competition of broadcast-telecommunication providers, the Korea Communications Commission, an organization that regulates promotional gifts and fee-reduction benefits to attract subscribers, has imposed a series of regulations. The excessive offering of promotional gifts can distort fair market competition and damage users. Yet if all bundling services are regulated uniformly, some benefits for users may be reduced, and the autonomous marketing competition of service providers may be restricted, thereby shrinking the entire communications market. Therefore, this study attempts to investigate domestic and foreign regulations on promotional gifts and other offerings related to broadcast-telecommunication bundling services, to analyze problems with respect to the current regulations and to propose an improvement plan. The study asserts that it is necessary to improve the violation decision criteria of the Korea Communications Commission and its regulations on broadcast-telecommunication service providers' promotional gifts in order to regulate the bundling services reasonably. In addition, it proposes a proper regulation of the OTS(Olleh TV Skylife) product, a new service emerging in the evolution of the bundling service type.
