Tourists' needs are changing rapidly and new niche markets, such as nature tourism, eco-tourism, and marine tourism, are flourishing in response to consumer demand. Especially, the estimating demand & supply of manpower in marine tourism is a very important issue for basic tourism HRD policy. This research is focused on the estimation of growing demands of manpower and suggests the method to estimate the proper number of manpower in marine tourism industry.

The tourism industry is considered as the world largest industry and it is assessed as the most effective way to create employment. In particular, the marine tourism industry such as marine leisure sports, cruise can create high added value so that its significance has been more emphasized. Korea has natural tourist attractions such as more than 3,000 islands, about 12,000km lengths coastline, wide wetlands and beautiful seascape. In addition, the establishment of the five-day workweek and the development of means of transportation make the policy demand of the public for marine tourism increase continuously. However, Korea currently lacks policy and system for revitalizing marine tourism industry as the new growth engine and has not made good use of its retained tourist resource. Accordingly, this study explores the current situation and challenges of Korean marine tourism industry and further analyses the limits of the national legal systems for marine tourism. Lastly, it suggests policy recommendation for promoting marine tourism industry.

With increase of people's leisure time for marine facilities it is expected to increase the demand for marine tourism. It is necessary for lighthouse to meet the demand for marine tourism. Now, the lighthouse is not only functioning as a traditional aids to navigation for vessel, but also it becomes the new facility and space for all civilians who might visit and experience the marine culture. This research suggests how to use the facilities of the lighthouse as marine tourism resources by reviewing the cases of domestic lighthouses.

Natural resource of the island and coastal regions is one of the most important element of ecological network system in Korea. Currently, there is trend that natural and biological resources such as fishing and tidal wetland have been used to local economic activation in island and coastal regions. According to the 5-days work in a week, island and coastal regions become important amenity resource of citizen's recreation area. Korea is peninsula surrounded by maritime. Especially, South and West Sea surrounded by many islands and tidal flat wetlands are emerging marine ecosystem and seascape in the world. Natural resource is limited, so we have to sustain those resource to current tourism. In this study, I would like to suggest that importance of cultural resource as well as natural resource for 'eco-cultural tourism' in order to keep both biological diversity and cultural diversity as amenity resource for future island economic activation in Korea.

This study is the basic data to design development directions and development standards of resources and facilities for establishing provision-oriented marine tourism development plans, and it aims to help develop provision-oriented marine tourism by drawing planning index and considering its priority necessary for provision-oriented marine tourism development. The findings of the study are as follows. As the result of analysis on four aspects, specific standards and plans for marine tourism development index, it showed environmental aspect, socio-cultural aspect, management aspect, and economic aspect in order. According to the result, the environmental aspect is considered important as the plan to solve problems working as inhibition factors instead of local development, due to local culture and environment disruption. Besides, as the result of iult of iuland priority of 13 items w of iure specific factors and specific plans, durability of resource use, iulroveand envisurrf rdings, receptive culacity, conservesidesand transmissidesnvicultures, and iulroveand ein the quality of life, stability of resource use, quality management of tourist attractions, competency intensificesidesof residents, income increase of residents, PR marketing, role of public sectors, increase in the local industry, and increase in employment were shown in order. Software-oriented plans should be made to preserve overall nature of local areas rather than hardware-oriented plans and development of environmental aspect that merely considers preventing environment destruction.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate and maximize the value of Dokdo as a marine educational tourism destination. The purpose of this study was to contribute to the identification of Dokdo as a unique territory of Korea rather than a disputed territory by further activating Dokdo tourism. The revitalization of Dokdo tourism was reviewed and analyzed from the viewpoint that it is possible when Dokdo is recognized as a destination for marine educational tourism. As a result of reviewing various research papers, periodicals, and government documents published in Korea and abroad, it is necessary to emphasize on-site education such as patriotism, anti-Japanese consciousness, and historical awareness in order to maximize value as a marine educational destination of Dokdo. Points out that it is possible to differentiate from other tourist destinations. Second, it pointed out that Dokdo preserves and develops to maximize the resource value of various tourism resources it possesses. Third, it pointed out to develop specialized tourism resources that can be linked with Dokdo tourism. Fourth, it pointed out that Dokdo will maximize its development potential as a marine educational tourism destination. Fifth, it is pointed out that there is a need to improve the educational program related to Dokdo. Finally, I pointed out that I would like to develop a variety of marine educational tourism contents and tourism programs linked with Ulleungdo.

Recently, in the context of increased interest for marine tourism, Jeju region of South Korea has attractive waterfront space and also has potential requirements for development. The objective of this paper was to analyze the priority for resource development of waterfront in Jeju region. In order to calculate the importance of factors related to the development of waterfront in Jeju area, this study conducted exploratory factor analysis to extract the factors and established the AHP model based on the factors name focusing on a total of 198 tourists. In this study, in accordance with the procedures of AHP analysis, pairwise comparisons were conducted focusing on a total of 15 experts. Especially, difference test between groups (academics and bureaucratic) was conducted. In the 1st criterion for evaluation, 'exploring experience' factor is most important thing and 'facilities & infrastructure' factors were in the following order. In the secondary criterion, AHP analysis showed that experience facilities, environmental management, and absence of residents consciousness were the important factors. In the future time, the results of this research can be utilized as basic data in the aspects of tourism development in Jeju waterfront region.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the fishery perception and recreation fishing demand level of coastal waters ranch with the case in Tongyeong city's Bijin-do Yongcho-do, Juk-do. The study conducts a survey of 27 fishermen and 113 recreation fishing tourists from September 26 to November 21, 2016. The major results of this study are as follows. First, the survey of fishery perception level suggests that the increase of fishery resources by Tongyeong-si coastal waters ranch project contributes to the rising income of fishermen, decreased fishing cost, and increased the number of tourists. Second, the survey of recreation fishing tourists's demand level suggests that a beautiful view, fish populations, kindness of residents, fishing point information, charter information, and the convenience of transportation are highly praised and highly regarded. However, links to nearby tourism, lodging facilities, and food information that can increase the income of fishermen is poorly praised. Therefore, this study suggests that a careful marine policy with fishery resource creation should be followed for marine fishing village tourism consumer's benefits in order to increase fishing village's income.

In terms of coastal and marine tourism, Busan's Haeundae had the nation's representativeness, and is pushing for many kinds of related policies to revitalize the special tourism zone. Due to a drop in the number of beach users, it is inevitable for the Haeundae Special Tourist Zone to face active responses to new trends emerging in the global tourism market. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present a tourism strategy for making the Suyeong River as a more competitive ourist resource along the zone. First, a language network analysis is conducted through interviews to understand the ideas of interest groups for the river cruise activation project. Second, the frame structure of stakeholders is used to analyze solutions by comparing the similarities and differences in recognition frames of interest groups. Third, we intend to analyze the detailed frame types of stakeholders and present new alternatives based on the structure of relationships between types.

Fishing village is becoming the central base of fishing industry and it plays a major role. However, there is a decrement of marine resources and some difficulties with the deterioration of fishing industry management. In order to solve these problems, there should be some developments(e.g. fishing village toursim development) on various undergoing government and the private organization programs. Nevertheless, there are not guidelines for fishing village tourism development to utilize for practical business. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the current status and guidelines regarding the development of fishing village for coastal planner. The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of fishing village development works in Korea and Japan. The second purpose is to identifie success factors after analyzing individual success cases. Based on evidence from the literature and a dialogue with village leader, a literature review on extracting success cases for guidelines were selected according to criteria such as the degree of contribution to an increase in income of the fishing village, the degree of contribution to an increase in consumption of marine products using local natural resources, the number of tourists that visits the village. Finally we propose guidelines for future fishing village development projects. The guidelines based on the successful cases, as well as the major factors about the objectives and direction of fishing village tourism development, suggested as follows. 1)Plans for land use, 2)Development of tourist resources, 3)Plans for views, 4)Plans for resource protection, 5)Plans for operation and marketing.
