Developed countries that have experienced decline in productivity due to the economic crisis in the past have come to recognize the smart factory as an important means to strengthen the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry due to the increase in labor costs, the avoidance of the manufacturing industry, and the resolution of the shortage of skilled manpower. The necessity of nurturing manpower for self-maintenance was felt through identifying factors for successful smart factory introduction by companies and providing smart factory education. Therefore, the effects of educational satisfaction and operational competency on self-efficacy as a parameter and self-efficacy as a parameter were analyzed using research models and hypotheses to determine whether there was an effect between job satisfaction as a dependent variable. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the mediating effect of self-efficacy and self-efficacy on job satisfaction was found to have significant effects on operational competency and self-efficacy as parameters, as well as educational satisfaction and operational competency. The implication of this study is that continuous education and innovation activities are important in order to increase the business performance of companies, and through this, the manufacturing competitiveness of SMEs can be improved.

Purpose: This study discusses the phenomenon of the uncertain sustainability of SMEs in developing countries. SMEs face various challenges in the dynamics of a competitive environment, which threaten their growth and sustainability. This study aims to address a research gap between company's internal resources, in the form of absorptive capacity, and its business performance. By using product quality as a mediator, which has never been studied before, this research presents a novelty to answer the existing research gap using the Resource Based Theory (RBT) perspective. Research design, data and methodology: Using quantitative method, data are collected from 164 respondents, who are owners or managers of furniture manufacturing SMEs in Gerbangkertosusila Area, East Java, Indonesia. The data are analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) - Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results: The findings show that absorptive capacity has a direct and significant effect on business performance and indirectly through product quality. Conclusion: Furniture manufacturing SMEs are advised to focus on developing absorptive capacity reflected in good product quality, in order to improve their business performance. This is especially important to survive the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, the results of this study contribute to the development of RBT, and there are several suggestions for further research.

This paper investigates the productivity growth of four manufacturing industries employing TFP and Malmquist productivity indexes on data for 13 OECD countries covering 1977-1990, and estimates the effects of R&D investment on productivity growth. The results show that there is a large difference between these indexes, and that R&D effects on productivity using TFP and Malmquist productivity indexes are different in value and significance.

CO., LTD., have specialized in engineering and manufacturing of electric motor speed control systems for a wide variety of applications i.e. dock side cranes, container cranes etc. Having concentrated on the development of new technology, we have succeeded in localization developing a Magnetic Coupling Type Cable Reel, whereas Korean companies depended on foreign countries for the supply of them.

Recently, high-workable concrete has been developed and began to be used to a great extent in foreign countries, but it isn't familiar with and fully introduced in Korea yet. The aim of this paper is to suggest a reference data for the development of High-workable concrete according to the comparative analysis the effect of mix proportion (unit water sand/aggregate ratio) on the flowing characteristics. And also this paper aims to examine the compactability of High-workable concrete in a model wall-form.

Although the high speed machining technology (HSM) has been significantly studied in worldwide for past two decades, and has been widely applied in machining processes at many countries, it is not well known in domestic machining industries. The objective of this article, therefore, is to introduce the HSM to domestic industries so that they can apply the HSM on their products and results in improvements on productity and precision. The concept of HSM, tool materials and tool wear of HSM, surface roughness of HSM, and the chip shape of HSM are discussed.

Rod consolidation is a method of increasing spent nuclear fuel storage capacity by disassembling fuel assemblies thus storing the fuel rods in a tighter array. It involves some basic operations which closely resemble to the material handling of a manufacturing process. But all the operations must be controlled remotely in shielded environment from outside due to the highly radioactive nature of the workpiece. In this study the status of the rod consolidation technology in other countries has been surveyed and a feasibility study for the conceptual design of this process have been made.

There is a limit manufacturing precast products for the construction industry using conventional cement concrete and precast iron due to many reasons. Therefore, precast product technologies using polymer concrete are widely developed across the world because using polymer concrete can be over come this limitation. This study reviewed and analyzed the trends of development and practical usages of ploymer concrete precast products in foreign countries based on selected literatures. It was observed that polymer concrete precast products have been widely used as utility structures wall and slab members. decoration products, traffic products, hydraulic structures and industry equipments.

This Paper deals with the development of Incheon International Airports and Pusan and Kwangyang Ports as Hub Ports in order to systemize nationwide logistics networks. Now, Korea has core competences in terms of social overhead capital, telecommunication, information technologies, all fields of manufacturing plants, and the other infra-structure. As the environments of North-East Asian countries changes dynamically, at least we should keep up with the situations which require to meet the globalized level of international logistics services in Pusan and Kwangyang Ports to be a competitive Hub Ports in this region.
