네트워크 기반의 간이 선박조종 시뮬레이터 개발 (Development of the Ship Manoeuvring PC Simulator Based on the Network)

  • 선박의 조종운동특성은 선종뿐만 아니라 같은 선박이라 할지라도 속도나 흘수에 의해서도 달라진다. 최근에 초대형선박이 크게 증가하고 있어 해양사고 발생 시 막대한 물적, 환경적 피해가 발생할 수 있으며, 이에 따라 선박조종의 중요성은 더욱 커지고 있다. IMO는 STCW 95 개정협약서를 통해서 해기사들이 시뮬레이터를 이용한 교육을 받도록 강제하고 있다. 그러나 Full Mission Ship Handling Simulator(FMSS)는 고가일 뿐만 아니라 사용하는 데에 제한이 많고, PC기반의 시뮬레이터는 서로 다른 사용자가 함께 시뮬레이션을 할 수 없다는 단점이 존재한다. 본 연구는 네트워크를 기반으로 두 사람이 각자의 PC를 이용하여 함께 시뮬레이션을 할 수 있도록 하여 FMSS와 PC기반의 시뮬레이터가 갖는 단점을 해결하고자 Nomoto 응답모델의 해석 및 수치계산과 레이더 기능 구현, 데이터통신 프로토콜 설계, Graphic User Interface(GUI) 구축 등을 통해 네트워크 기반의 시뮬레이터를 구현하였다. 그리고 개발된 시뮬레이터의 유효성을 검증하기 위해 한국선급, IMO의 선박조종성기준에 따라 시뮬레이션 결과와 한국해양대학교 한바다호의 실선시험결과를 비교·분석하였다. 항목별 시험결과를 정리하면 상대오차 범위는 0 ~ 32.1 %, 평균 13.7 % 이었으며, IMO 선박조종성기준을 모두 만족하였다.

  • Maneuverability of ships has been receiving a great deal of attention both concerning navigation safety and the prediction of ship maneuvering characteristics, to improve it. High-lift device could be applied to design of rudder at design stage. Now, we carried out the flow visualization and inversitgation of flow around a flap rudder (trailing-edge flap). Flow visualization results of flap defection shown as the flow around a NACA0020 Flap Rudder will be conducted in a Circulating Water Channel. The purpose of this investigation will be to investigate the development of the separation region on the flap rudder with the variation of angle of attack and determine the angle of attack at which the flow separates and reattaches.

  • Methods for measuring or estimating of ground shape by a laser range finder and a vision sensor(exteroceptive sensors) have critical weakness in terms that these methods need prior database built to distinguish acquired data as unique surface condition for driving. Also, ground information by exteroceptive sensors does not reflect the deflection of ground surface caused by the movement of UGVs. Thereby, UGVs have some difficulties regarding to finding optimal driving conditions for maximum maneuverability. Therefore, this paper proposes a method of recognizing exact and precise ground shape using Inertial Measurement Unit(IMU) as a proprioceptive sensor. In this paper, firstly this method recognizes attitude of a robot in real-time using IMU and compensates attitude data of a robot with angle errors through analysis of vehicle dynamics. This method is verified by outdoor driving experiments of a real mobile robot.

워터제트 추진기 유입관의 내부유동 전산해석 (Numerical Internal Flow Analysis of Intake Duct of Waterjet Propulsion)

  • Waterjet propulsion is widely used to thrust high speed marine vessels in excess of 30-35 knots by virtue of the high propulsive efficiency, good maneuverability, and less cavitation. From the aspect of power loss, approximately $7-9\%$ of the total power is lost in intake duct due to the flow separation, nonuniformity, etc. Thus, detail understanding of flow phenomena occurring within intake duct is essential to reduce the power loss, as well as noise and vibration. The present work solved 30 incompressible RANS equations to provide complicated viscous flow features of intake duct. The numerical results were compared with experiments and good agreements were obtained for three jet velocity ratios.

  • The stability of a rotor-bearing system supported by swirl-controlled hybrid journal bearing with pair-type angled injection orifices is investigated for improvement of the whirl frequency ratio by allowing effective control of the tangential flow inside the bearing clearance, i.e., by achieving more freedom in controlling strength and direction of the supply tangential flow inside the bearing clearance. It is suggested that the system instability can be improved through the change of bearing dynamic characteristic parameters with the swirl control. The orifice diameter d$_0$ and recess injection angle $\alpha$ along with combinations of swirl/anti-swirl supply pressures and directions (3.0-3.0MPa, 4.0-2.0MPa, 2.0-4.0MPa) are selected for design parameters for swirl-controlled effective factors dependent on journal speeds (3000, 9000, 15000, 21000 rpm). It has been found that the orifice diameter do shows strong effects on effective maneuverability of direct-stiffness and direct damping values, while recess injection angle $\alpha$ results in substantial magnitude and direction of cross-stiffness. Specifically, recess injection parameters which are functions of angle of orifice feeding flow and recess dimensions showed very feasible effect on the stability of swirl-controlled rotor-bearing system.

  • 낮은 시정, 강우, 강풍, 고온 등 기상 상태는 운전 능력, 차량 성능(예: 마찰, 안정성, 조작력), 노면 마찰력, 도로 인프라, 추돌 위험, 교통 흐름 및 도로 관리자 생산성 등에 영향을 미친다. 최근에는 CCTV, 도로 센서, 차량 센서 등 다양한 도로 기상 빅데이터 소스들이 개발되면서 이러한 기상 관련 문제들 해결에 적용되고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 도로 기상 빅데이터 소스들의 유형과 특징을 정의하고 국내외 실증 사례들을 통해 도로 기상 빅데이터 유형별로 관련 문제들 해결에 활용하는 전략에 대해 제시하고자 한다.

T-50 가로-방향축 비행제어법칙 설계 및 궤환이득의 변화에 따른 항공기 동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flight Control Law and the Dynamic Characteristic about Variation of Feedback Gains of T-50 Lateral-Directional Axis)

  • The T-50 advanced trainer aircraft combines advanced aerodynamic features and a fly-by-wire flight control system in order to produce a stability and highly maneuverability. The flight control system both longitudinal and lateral-directional axes to achieve performance enhancements and improve stability. The T-50 employs the RSS concept in order to improve the aerodynamic performance in longitudinal axis and the longitudinal control laws employ the dynamic inversion with proportional-plus-integral control method. And, lateral-directional control laws employ the blended roll system both beta-betadot feedback and simple roll rate feedback with proportional control method in order to guarantee aircraft stability. This paper details the design process of developing lateral-directional control laws, utilizing the requirement of MIL-F-8785C and MIL-F-9490D. And, this paper propose the analysis of aircraft characteristics such as dutch-roll mode, roll mode, spiral mode, gain and phase margin about gains for lateral-directional inner loop feedback.

  • Recently, several problems have occurred in the space, infra-structure, and facility of the contiguity of existing harbors due to the trend of enlarged container vessels. In this regard, the Mobile Harbor has been proposed conceptually in this study as an effective solution for these problems. The concept is that of a transfer loader that transfers containers from a large container ship to the harbor on land, and is a catamaran type floating barge. The catamaran-type vessel is well known for its advantage in maneuverability, resistance, and effectiveness for working on board. For the safe and effective operation of the two floating bodies (a container ship and the mobile harbor in the near sea detached from the quay), robot arms, novel crane systems, and pneumatic fenders are specially devised with an additional mooring facility or DP (dynamic positioning) system. In this study, this concept is to be verified through comparison and simulation studies under various environmental conditions. It is shown that the proposed concept is in general feasible but there are several areas for further investigation and improvement.

시스템 검증법에 의한 조종성능(操縱性能) 해석(解析) (Maneuverability Analysis of a Ship by System Identification Technique)

  • When the hydrodynamic coefficients of the ship maneuvering equation are estimated by captive model test, it is difficult to take account of the scale effect between model and full scale ship. This scale effect problem can be overcome by processing the sea trial data with system identification. Extended Kalman filter is used as a system identification technique for the modification of the simulation equation as well as the estimation of hydrodynamic coefficients The phenomena of simultaneous drifting of linear coefficients occur. It is confirmed that two coefficients in each pair-$(Y_v',\;Y_r'-m'u'),\;(N_v',\;N_r')$-are simultaneously drifting and all 4 coefficients are drifting together. Particularly simultaneous drifting and 2 coefficients in each pair is more significant. It is also shown that the simultaneous drifting of 4 coefficients can be reduced by choosing the input data which have the random v'/r' curve and 4 coefficients are estimated within $2{\sim}4%$ error, which may be noise level. So, it is recommended to operate the rudder randomly in sea trial or model test for the application of system identification technique.

Fit Satisfaction of Formal Jackets in Apparel Product Websites - Focus on Plus-sized Women in Their 20s' and 30' -

  • For fit satisfaction evaluation, the subjects were asked to put on the jackets from the seven manufacturers in random order, view how the jackets fit in a full-body mirror and answer questions regarding fitting in 22 specific areas, including the neck, shoulders, waist, hips and arms, as well as eight questions related to maneuverability. The surveys and evaluations were conducted between October 2007 and November 2008, and the compiled data were analyzed using the SPSS 14.0 statistics program. The One-way analysis of variance was performed to comparatively analyze the differences among the products from the seven manufacturers. Post-hoc tests were performed based on Duncan's test for the criteria that displayed significant differences. The results were summarized as follows. Fit evaluations were performed for the size 88 formal jackets from the seven manufacturers. All items, except the center front line, displayed significant differences at p<0.05 or higher among the manufacturers. The age group 20-39 felt that the main problems were in the shoulder, armscye, upper arm, waist, abdomen and hip areas. Modifying the shoulder area, armscye depth and hip areas severely compromises the jacket's balance, and attention to these areas must be given developed pattern design.
