Two functions are considerable in the record management of policy management system operation. The first one is to prove that shows the conforming status of the management system requirements. The second one is to prove that shows the performing status whether the policy management system is operating effectively to the company. However, the second function requires the high level data analysis techniques, and it is more important for the decision making of the company operations. That is, the second function is more closer than the first function to the top manager's policy management tool. This paper is prepared to offer a study on the desirable record management which is necessary to the scientific decision making process. The scientific decision making requires the analysis of data derived from the reliable records. It is also aimed to enlighten the relations between the reliability of records and the adoption of the results of analysis in associated with the top manager's decision making.

In this study, we focused on creating plans to manage the administrative information dataset of public records in closed universities. In particular, according to various reference materials and internal materials of the institution, we studied the theoretical discussion about the dataset and figured out the management status of the closed university's dataset. Therefore, as a measure for the data management of the Comprehensive Information Management System, recording targets are selected, retention periods are determined, administrative information dataset management standards are prepared, administrative information dataset evaluation and deletion are implemented, and comprehensive management systems of closed universities are established.

Appraisal theory of Records Continuum can provide to explore the mean of record and role of record management in new social environment. Today the market of EDMS is esteemed more than 100 billions won. It signifies a comming of age of electronic records. The traditional archival theories which are based on the paper records are confronted with a new challenge. In some leading countries of archival studies reorientation of archives management has been tried by a number of distinguished specialists such as Bearman and Hedstrom since 10 years. As a consequence new paradigm of archival theories has been developed. Also in Korea this new paradigm has been introduced by some expert such as Lee, Sang-Min, Sul, Moon-won, Lee, Seung-Eok. However their arguments are too general to offer a concrete clue for new paradigm. Faced by new age of electronic records, it's important to start a discussion for the reasonable methods of electronic records management at once. The most drastically changed part of record management by the electronic technique is the life-cycle of records. The commonly practiced three-stage life-cycle is to be reduced to the two-stage life-cycle, and the concept of the spatial movement of records is to be changed. It can be also pointed that the public emerges as user from the early creating stage of records beyond time and space. Thus is can be said that the method of the management features dynamic and cohesive. The method of appraisal must be also changed and reproduced, so that it can reflect the various levels considering dynamics of the electronic records. Supposedly it will be a core factor that causes the change of methodology in records management with the change of life-cycle theory. It must be noted that various subjects would be involved in the work of classification and description over time and space and that feedback between them is of important. Description also tends to be made at the crating stage of records and structured dynamically. It results from the change of life-cycle and the introduction of the concept of continuum. Such trend allows us to start discussions on the assumption that description of both creator and archival professionals act together an important role. Of course, it is linked with the methodology in which most descriptions are made automatically at the early drafting stage of the structure. The meat date is formed on the assumption that there should be feedback between areas of automatic description, description of creators and archival professionals. The most important thing in description is to develop a suitable way how it is structured. An alternative must be offered for managing data set. As iweb that is being operated by Myongji university shows, records created in daily business are managed not as electronic records but as date base. This is because they exist outside the repository in the EDMS system. Since data set often has various sources, an alternative for classification needs to be developed. It is now likely that database is filed according to the created year to be transferred automatically to the repository. Over a long-term the total management of database, electronic records and electronic information will be a topic. A right direction of new paradigm will be found for both iweb and E-government, when practice and studies of theories are combined and interacted.

This study discusses the direction of legislation to strengthen the legal protection of medical records privacy in information age. The legislation trends on privacy protection of medical records in European Union and United States are analysed and the current law and regulation of Korea on medical records are compared. The issues discussed include the ownership of medical records, the patient's right of access to medical records, medical information publication for other than treatment or insurance processing use, confidentiality responsibility of provider organizations, medical information management in provider organizations, penalty for the unlawful use of patient information. This study concludes that the patients' right on medical record and provider organization's responsibility in processing patient information should be strengthened in order to protect patients' privacy and to conform to the international standard on medical record protection in the information age.

Purpose: This study was done to analyze nursing assessment and nursing care for pain in the electronic nursing records for the elderly patients with abdominal pain visiting the Emergency Medical Center. Methods: This study is a descriptive study based on nursing records from January to December 2015. A total of 1155 records for elderly patients with abdominal pain were gathered. Results: The mean age of elderly patients whose records were analyzed was 75.2 years. Analysis of nursing records regarding pain management showed that semi-urgent severity (93.7%), direct emergency room visits (58%), and 6.01 hours of emergency room stay (6.01 hours)were the most frequently documented characteristics of the elderly patients with pain complaints. Recording time of nursing assessment for abdominal patients was 1.01 hour; the average pain intensity was 3.97. The mostly used nursing intervention for abdominal pain was medication (65.1%). There was no record of non-pharmacological pain nursing interventions. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that improving knowledge and nursing practice for pain management is much of necessity. In particular, development of the non-pharmacological nursing interventions for pain is needed. Further research is also imperative to develop and evaluate record systems for pain management that can be used in the emergency room.

This study aims to propose an implementation plan for ensuring the digital continuity of university information resources that require the continuous management of temporary and permanent records in digital transformation environments. Thus, the cases of The National Archives (TNA; United Kingdom) and the National Archives of Australia (NAA)'s digital continuity policies were investigated and analyzed, drawing implications for ensuring universities' digital continuity. The process for ensuring digital continuity proposed by TNA was then applied to a university case for the proposal of an implementation plan applicable to university information resources.

Many Korean schools are in danger of closure because of a decreasing school-age population, and cases of consolidation of educational institutions in the local community are on the rise. A number of educational records, particularly educational administrative artifacts (hereafter "Edu Artifacts"), are accordingly in danger of disappearing. Despite their historical, cultural, and educational value, systematic management is far from satisfactory. This study thus examines the characteristics of Edu Artifacts from the archival and cultural heritage perspectives and compares standard records management system, special type records management system, and historical manuscripts management system, which are currently used in public institutions, to see what is required to manage them effectively. By analyzing the Edu Artifacts possession status and management system of J University of Education, This study intends to verify the research outcome's effectiveness by presenting the essential functions of the management system of Edu Artifacts and the corresponding menu structure.

As life expectancy increases, chronic diseases become a problem, and health management in daily life becomes important. With the development of IT convergence technology, personal health records have been collected through various data sources, but they are saved separately by each medical services. Distributed storage of personal health records caused inconvenience about managing the user's health records. In this paper, we designed and implemented an integrated repository and web-based dashboard UI components to solve that inconvenience. The proposed method shows that users can manage their personal health records in the integrated repository effectively and show them through dashboard UI components.

Various types of records and archives would be producted in universities as a result of specialized tasks on education and research by experts. But most of the studies were focused on general areas in a university. This study was performed with the motivation, wherein management and preservation of university archives producted through various activities in a university should be uniform and are in need of increased awareness of university archives. Based on the background, this study aims to examine the importance and value of university archives related to endowment for university development. To achieve the goals, this study investigated the features and types of university archives related to endowment. Because most of universities have a department that raises endowment, this study performed an analysis and examination of the current status of management on endowment archives. Through this research, this study proposed a model for management of university archives related to endowment.
