The Design of Proxy for CORBA Traffic Monitoring Using OSI management technology (OSI 관리 기술을 이용한 CORBA 트래픽 모니터링 프록시 설계)

  • Traffic monitoring, a part of the system management, is a vital function lot the proper operation of a system in use. Currently OMG has been trying to standardize CORBA system management. Besides, many companies and research laboratories have been developing and studying CORBA system management. In this paper, we have designed the proxy to monitor the CORBA traffic using the OSI management technology. To manage CORBA traffic resources, 6 parameters have been made into managed objects. The monitoring system consists of a CORBA server, a proxy object and an MIB. The CORBA server is made up of a service provider, a proxy server, and a event sewer. The proxy object acts as a process of a CORBA object, and is made up of a proxy client, a event client, and an IPC server.

  • DNS(Domain Name System) is a huge distributed database that converts host name to IP address. We are expecting the importance of DNS is more increased because many Internet application services appear according to the continuous increase of Internet users and nearly all the Internet application services use DNS. To prevent the interruption of DNS service, DNS server is configured with primary DNS server and a secondary DNS server which takes the place of primary DNS server in case of the service interruption. But this scheme is difficult for providing DNS service constantly in case of DDoS attack, which brings about much network load or network problems in DNS server group. Therefore, This paper proposed the scheme to locally distribute load of DNS server, and the use of address system to group the distributed DNS servers. Also, it proposed the authentication scheme of the correspondent server in case the server is changed in DNS server group having grouping address. In this paper, it is shown that the prosed scheme guarantees the improved service reliability with maintaining the present service performance through the evaluation. Through this, we can expect the high improved DNS service can be provided in the Internet environment in the future.

  • Server management and power management are important to operate a data center stably and efficiently. By this paper, we introduce an web based application that is able to monitor and visualize energy consumption, help to energy consumption analysis of a data center due to provide server monitoring information such as temperatures for server, status of each device, power status using server management interfaces and power management modules in data center, also suggest the methods to implement them. This application takes advantage of IPMI which is server management standard interfaces and server management technology in manufacturer's individual way so it can do integrated monitoring for heterogeneous severs, and there is little monitoring load inside of server system because it doesn't need to install agent program for monitoring target system, and it can be used successfully to energy consumption analysis, server management in a data center due to realtime provided energy consumption and monitoring information.

  • This study performed the construction of test bed for the combination of the health monitoring system In Yongjong grand bridge with the safety management network system in order to explore the feasibility of combining the existing monitoring system with the safety management network system. For this purpose, connection program which consists of DAQ sender server program and DAQ receiver server program has been developed. DAQ sender server program installed in the connection server, which is located on the DMZ zone of the existing monitoring system, plays the role of communicating with the monitoring system. On the other hand, DAQ receiver server program installed in the connection server, which is located on the integrated operation center of the safety management network system, plays the part of gathering real time and tim history data of the existing monitoring system and storing them in the integrated operation server through the communication with the DAQ sender. Test bed demonstrated the feasibility of combining the existing monitoring system with the safety management network system.

  • In this paper, we have developed the web-based management system for greenhouse teleoperation. The remote control system consists of database, web-server, controller in greenhouse, and clients. The database in the server stores user informations and greenhouse conditions, and is used to manage user login and conditioning data. The management system developed by using Java applet, which is a client program for effective and easy management of greenhouse, monitors the greenhouse in real time. Master and driver boards installed in greenhouse control unit. Database on flowering to collect and analyze data exchanges data with the server. The greenhouse can be managed effectively by timer routine, repeat control within setting time, and algorithm of setting points. Also, the greenhouse conditions can be controlled by manual or remote controller (PC) through web browser in internet. Furthermore, all of the control devices of the greenhouse are managed by remote control using PC and checked via camera installed in greenhouse.

  • Generally EPC management system was simply management concept through the normal S/W. Our LNG Plant R&D Center wanted to the excellent management system from the S/W. So We developed the R&D management S/W and EPC management S/W Built in the Microsoft Project Server. Our system made to the customer Requirements. It was just User Interface protocol. But User Interface has more Weak position, because it makes from the MS Project Servers. Ms Projector server make easy to treat the project on the WBS. EPC parts mixed WBS and normally Ms SQL Database. It has very complicated Structures. Now We planed to make the general Database and Ms Project Server, It' means to the S/W Developer and Schedule Manager ability. We will successfully integrate R&D management system and EPC system and other softwares.

  • Although the web is becoming a widely accepted medium, it provides relatively poor performance and low availability. A cluster consists of a collection of interconnected stand-alone computers working together and provides a high-availability solution in application area such as web services or information systems. Web server clusters require a high-availability service with a proactive and practical fault management. However, as the system complexity grows, it is not easy to meet the requirement. Therefore, web server clusters must have self-fault management capability for meeting high-availability requirement. In this paper, we propose high availability web server clusters using self-healing technique with a minimal human intervention. Our experimental results show that a proposed method can be used to improve the availability of web server clusters.

  • It is used to lead to serious structural vulnerability of the system security of security-critical system when we have quickly developed software system according to urgent release schedule without appropriate security planning, management, and assurance processes. The Data Set and Provider of DataSnap, which is a middleware of Delphi XE2 of the Embarcadero Technologies Co., certainly help to develop an easy and fast-paced procedure, but it is difficult to apply security program and vulnerable to control software system security when the connection structure Database-DataSnap server-SQL Connection-SQL Data set-Provider is applied. This is due to that all kinds of information of Provider are exposed on the moment when DataSnap Server Port is sure to malicious attackers. This exposure becomes a window capable of running SQL Command. Thus, it should not be used Data Set and Provider in the DataSnap Server in consideration of all aspects of security management. In this paper, we study on the verification of the security vulnerabilities for Client and Server DataSnap in Dlephi XE2, and we propose a secure coding method to improve security vulnerability in the DataSnap server system.

  • An IoT-based server system for store management was developed in this study. Its client-server structure having a product categorization function allows the system to read the NFC tags attached to individual products and provides information about them to customers automatically. The system also provides an effective promotional effect as it not only offers necessary information about the items the customers are seeking but also displays the advertisements related to them. This server system was designed specifically designed for the use in a smart shopping Mall or a department store so that the store owners can manage their sales operation more effectively while their customers enjoy shopping more conveniently. It is expected that the technology used for this IoT-utilized server system can be one of the efficient and effective platform technologies in the current and future store management systems.

  • Sensor application systems for remote monitoring and control are required, such as the establishment of databases and IoT service servers, to process data being transmitted and received through radio communication modules, controllers and gateways. This paper designs and implements database server, IoT service server, data processing middleware and IoT management system for IoT based services based on the controllers, communication modules and gateway middleware platform developed. For this, we firstly define the specification of the data packet and control code for the information classification of the sensor application system, and also design and implement the database as a separate server for data protection and efficient management. In addition, we design and implement the IoT management system so that functions such as status information verification, control and modification of operating environment information of remote sensor application systems are carried out. The implemented system can lead to efficient operation and reduced management costs of sensor application systems through site status analysis, setting operational information, and remote control and management.
