In this study, based on the principal-agent paradigm, we investigate a joint cost reduction activity in a buyer-supplier supply chain where a buyer motivates its operations department and a supplier to reduce the supply chain's production cost. We construct a benefit-sharing model based on the target cost scheme, a basic philosophy in practice which has not been explored in previous studies. The model also incorporates various supply chain issues such as the cooperation of multiple agents, the opportunity loss, and the degree of strategic relationship between the buyer and the supplier. Based on the analysis of the principal-agent model, we investigate the benefit-sharing rule to control agents' actions, and we also provide important managerial implications into supply chain practices via extensive comparative static analyses.

Game theory is adapted to a variety of domains such as economics, biology, engineering, political science, computer science, and philosophy in order to analyze economic behaviors. This research is an application of game theory to wireless communication. In particular, in terms of bargaining game we dealt with a multimedia resource allocation algorithm in wireless communication, which is rapidly spreading such as Wibro, WCDML, IPTV, etc. The algorithm is assumed to allocate multimedia resources to users who can choose and access differentiated media services. For this purpose, a utility function of users is devised to reflect quality of service (QoS) and price. We illustrated experimental results with synthesis data which were made to mimic real multimedia data, and analyzed differentiated service providing and the effect of the utility function.

이 연구에서는 인터넷 자원을 통해 사회과학 분야의 학제성을 측정하고 그 특징을 알아보기 위해 세 가지 계량정보학적 분석을 수행하였다. 먼저 세계적인 사회과학 정보 게이트웨이인 SOSIG의 Grapevine 자료를 통해 사회과학 내 학문분야 간 학제성을 측정하였고, 관련 학자들의 홈페이지 동시링크와 미국 상위 관련 학과 홈페이지의 동시링크를 분석하였다. 그 결과 business, education, philosophy 등을 중심으로 어느 정도 학제성이 나타났으나, 심리학 등 사회과학의 몇몇 분야의 학제성은 예상 외로 높지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

The philosophy of object-oriented has found its role in various applications such as programming languages, databases, distributed systems, etc. Discussed in this paper is an experience of the object-oriented programming technique obtained while developing a particular CAD/CAM system. It has been well-known that the object-oriented programming language has good features enabling the improved reusability and extensibility of an existing code. The features include data abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and so on. This paper presents how these features of the object-oriented programming language, C++ in particular, can be applied to the implementation of geometric algorithms as well as graphical user interfaces.

The majority of previous studios on tolerance synthesis have viewed the issue as a design methodology to determine optimal component tolerances on behalf of a manufacturer. while meeting given assembly tolerance requirements Although a considerable amount of research has been done on this issue. a couple of important questions still remain unanswered First. how ran a design engineer quantitatively incorporate a customer's perception on a product quality into a tolerance synthesis scheme at the early design stage Second. how ran component tolerances and assembly tolerance be optimized in a simultaneous way? To answer these questions. this article presents the customer-driven concurrent tolerance synthesis which is facilitated by the notion of truncated distribution and the use of mathematical programming techniques. while adopting the major principles of Tagurhl philosophy. The work presented in the article is an effort to gain insight, which can be useful in practice when setting up guidelines for an overall tolerance synthesis.

This study highlights the theme of human error of train drivers, conducting empirical analysis on the relationship between organizational culture, safety climates, safety behavior, and accident. The empirical test results based on questionnaires received from 223 train drivers working at A subway firm indicated that relationship conflict and psychological reward as the elements of organizational culture variables showed a significant positive effect on CEO philosophy, communication, and boss's leadership. And only boss's leadership showed a positive influence on safety behavior, which in turn showed a significant negative relationship with accidents.

COMS On-board FDIR(Failure Detection, Isolation and Recovery) functions are implemented on the on-board software to satisfy the autonomy and failure tolerance requirements. This paper presents concepts of COMS Failure Management with hierarchical layers and addresses the characteristics of the FDIR layer from low level to high level. It is aimed at giving the reader the understanding how the COMS FDIR was designed and how works. It first recalls what are the system level applicable requirements, which are based on the COMS mission requirements. Then it describes the philosophy and structure of the FDIR and subsequently breaks it down into the several FDIR layers. It could be used as an important and useful reference of the information to design and develop an automatic FDIR mechanism in the future.

As the economy grows rapidly and the national income level increases, the service industry has become more important and its size gets larger. Especially, the food industry undertakes a continuing growth of consumer expenditures through no nationalization of food, consumers varying patterns of eating out, and individualization. However, it includes many problems with improving service quality towards customers owing to the absence of systems and philosophy to realize customer satisfaction management. Therefore, this study conducted a study with Korean traditional restaurant customers to measure their perceived service quality, to verify what factors most influence consumer satisfaction, and to suggest ways to meet the costumer needs by integrating the study results and developing high service quality.

The empirical test results based on questionnaires received from 223 train drivers working at A subway firm indicated that relationship between CEO's safety philosophy, and safety communication showed a significant positive effect on boss's safety leadership. And boss's safety leadership showed a positive influence on observation belonging to safety behavior, which in turn showed a significant negative relationship with mistake. However, mistake, observation and violation were shown that there are no relationship with accidents.
