기업가지향성이 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 중소기업 제조업체를 중심으로 (A Study on the Effects of the Entrepreneurial Orientation on Management Performance : Focused on the Manufacturer in the Small Businesses)

  • The purpose of this study is to present that the entrepreneurial orientation affects to management performance in the small manufacturer. In order to carry out this research, we obtained 171 survey sheets and inspected seven assumptions based on the reliability, validity of the questionnaires. The results of regression analysis are summarized as follows; First, the factor of entrepreneurial orientation, innovative-ness, influences on the technical innovation performance and financial performance significantly. Second, the element of entrepreneurial orientation, proactive-ness, has an important effect on the technical innovation performance and financial performance. Finally, the requisite of entrepreneurial orientation, risk taking, affects to the technical innovation performance significantly, but not the financial performance. Based on the results, the companies that achieve the technical innovation and financial performance have an atmosphere to encourage to perform the research and development works and find out innovative ideas and improvement points in processes. However, the entrepreneur is required to take careful judgement for determining the uncertain circumstance.

총체적 품질경영프로그램의 효과에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Key Factors Affecting the Effectiveness of Total Quality Management Programs)

  • Over the last few years Total Quality Management (TQM) programs have hem widely adapted by Korean manufacturing firms to improve their productivity, competitive edge and product quality levels. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the level of importance placed on four key TQM factors (customer satisfaction, strong management leadership, continuous improvement, imployee involvement and participation) used during the implementation of korean manufacturing TQM programs and to assess the effectiveness of those key factors in improving the performance of the firms. A Questionaire was developed and sent to senior managers in manufacturing organizations throughout korea. This survey asked qustions regarding 1) the firm's business environment and TQM program development 2) subcomponents of the key factors and 3) the effectiveness of the TQM program at improving the performance of the organization. The survey data were analyzed to determine the degree of correlation between each of the factors and the effectiveness of the TQM programs. This study demonstrated that the TQM programs were instrumental at improving the performance of the firms studied, and that the improvement was positively correlated with the length of time that the program had been implemented and the planned duration of the TQM program implementation. It was found that the person-oriented elements of management leadership and employee involvement were positively correlated and predictive of the success of the TQM Program, while the process-oriented components of customer satisfaction and employee involvement were not useful predictors of the effectiveness of the TQM program implementation.

품질개념의 확대가 기업성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Extending the Quality Concept on Business Performance : -An Empirical Study on Korean Manufacturing Firms-)

  • The purpose of this study is, to empirically analyze the effect of extension of Quality concept and Quality Management on business performance, and to propose their necessities. And, to offer base manure enforcing our business international competitive power by inducing them to extend the Concept of Quality and to adopt Quality Management. By analyses of the questionnaires, the following consequences are confirmed. First, the company which have the more extended quality concept, is more developed and closer to QM stage(i. e. the most developed stage of Quality Management). Second, the more extended quality concept the company has and the more advanced the company is in the Quality Management, the more positive influence can be made on the improvement of the business performance. Third, the added value per employee is attributed to the extension of quality concept rather than the development stages of Quality Management.

의료기관 인증제도 참여요인이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Hospital Accreditation Participation Factors on Hospital Management Performances)

  • Purposes: This study was performed to understand the recognition about accreditation motives, support within the hospital and accreditation survey process for the hospitals that participated in the accreditation program and to find out whether these factors are related to hospital management performances, so that the study can suggest plans for activation and development of the accreditation program. Methodology: This study was performed targeting 98 hospitals answered th the survey among 189 acute care hospitals that acquired accreditation from December 2010 to February 2014. For data analysis, frequency analysis, ${\chi}^2$-test, reliability analysis, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis H test and multiple regression analysis with SPSS 21.0 were used. Findings: The hospitals that had staff in charge of patient safety had bigger hospital culture change than those that didn't have(p<.05). In addition, the hospital culture change was bigger as internal motives were bigger, and as CEO's will was bigger(p<.05). Meanwhile, as maintenance rate of internal management after accreditation was higher, and as CEO's will was bigger, process improvement level was higher(p<.05). The quality improvement and patient satisfaction level were higher as CEO's will was bigger, and as suitability of survey process was recognized to be high(p<.05). As a result of analyzing the factors that affect hospital management performances with hospital culture change, process improvement and quality improvement combined, as internal management maintenance rate was higher, as CEO's will was bigger, and as suitability of survey process was higher, performances were higher(p<.05). Practical Implications: Hospitals need to reinforce internal motives to improve internal competences such as the whole system maintenance opportunity and staff training. In addition, the will of hospital director is most important, and if there is hospital director's interest in quality improvement and improvement intention definitely, employees voluntarily participate in and cooperate with the accreditation program, so that prompt medical service provision and high quality of medical services can be guaranteed, leading to hospitals' management performances.

품질비용관리시스템 구축을 통한 품질비용 개선효과 및 성과에 관한 사례연구 (A case study on the improvement effects of quality cost by establishing a quality cost management system)

  • Many companies have endeavored to build a quality cost management system in order to be more productive business organization. This study shows the detail procedures of constructing a quality cost management system which is believed to be appropriate for their business system. That is, the method to calculate the quality cost and the linking logic between the quality improvement and its financial impact are explained based on a particular industry case. In this sense, the changes of business performance measures such as market share, customer satisfaction, etc. were analyzed in the longitudinal perspective for the consecutive 4 years (2003~2006). As the quantitative results of this study, the improvement activities based on the quality cost management system resulted in the 32% reduction of quality cost and the 121% increase of business profit, compared 2005 with 2006. In the qualitative perspective, the successive practice of quality cost reduction and the job information sharing in business unit were obtained by providing the best practices and bench-marking cases. Finally, the customer satisfaction has increased so that the customer-friendly management system has been accomplished. With these efforts, the 3.4% increase of the market share and the 3% increase of the customer satisfaction were obtained in 2005. As the future study, the current study can be extended to the concept of COPQ (cost of poor quality) which focuses on the hidden quality cost of the whole business activities. Such extension of analysis will help us understand the wider role of a quality cost management system in the business.

  • Recently, there has been growing interest in the financial and economic effectiveness of service quality and customer satisfaction. It means that the final goal of customer satisfaction is the maximization with firms' financial performance, enterprise could survive through the creation of continuous financial performance. Companies are working in various ways to identify the direct relationship of service quality and customer satisfaction with financial and economic effectiveness in order to justify and validate customer satisfaction management. In this study, the influence of customer satisfaction on the financial performance is examined. Customer satisfaction index, the key non-financial performance measure has significant association with firms' financial performance index. Moreover, high customer satisfaction has a competitive advantage, so it can be the key success factor of firm's financial performance improvement.

노후산업단지 구조고도화사업을 위한 환경개선펀드 성과분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Analysis of Environmental Improvement Fund for the Structural Advancement Project of the Old Industrial Complex)

  • This paper quantitatively analyzes the investment performance of the environmental improvement fund focusing on the sales effect and the housing benefit effect. The analysis of this study focused on the effects of sales and housing benefits for completed business sites among the business sites supported by the Environmental Improvement Fund. The analysis results are as follows. First, it appears that the sales effect of the completed workplace is effective compared to the amount of investment, so it seems that the purpose of industrial integration of the environment improvement fund is being achieved. Second, it was found that there are variations by workplace and region in housing benefits. This seems to be due to the fact that profitability can be neglected by reflecting the characteristics of residential facilities built by private businesses. The Environmental Improvement Fund is a policy fund that pursues both profitability and publicity. Therefore, it is necessary to transform the structure of the fund to expand support for industrial infrastructure with high publicity. To this end, it is necessary to establish a long-term management plan that equitably considers the profitability and publicity of the environmental improvement fund.

  • The purposes of this research were to understand the realities of health management and to analyze the subjective, functional, psychological, and social health effects of the application of an exercise and education program to manage health on an elderly population residing in an agricultural community. The specific purposes of this research were: 1. to determine the subjective, functional, psychological health conditions, and performance level of instrumental activities of daily living of both the experimental and control groups before introducing a health management program, and then 2. to compare these with both the experimental and control groups' subjective, functional, psychological health condition and performance level of instrumental activities of daily living after applying the health management program. The health management program was introduced to the experimental group (50 people) but not to the control group (50 people). The health management program was composed of a health exercise program and a health education program. A comparative study of subjective health conditions was done to examine the effect of the health management program and the characteristics of health related variables before and after the program application.   • Management is under constant pressures to achieve competitiveness in production in most manufacturing companies. The adoption of management techniques(MT) such as TQM, MRP, ERP and so on has been a logical response for better performance to many companies. Besides, these companies commonly adopt a number of such techniques with high expectation for performance improvement. However, expected improvement in performance is not guaranteed unless necessary ingredients exist for those techniques. Many research studies have focused on the nature of successful adoption of management techniques in the past. However, most studies have been related to a single technique and its effects. When more than one techniques are in use in a company, focusing on a single technique limits the value of analysis. This paper focuses the value of MTs adopted in a company in multiplicity and compares the relative characteristics of MTs one another. Especially, the purpose of this paper is to examine the comparative nature of MTs adopted In manufacturing companies and the elements of MT success in relationship with information systems and organizational adjustment for adoption of MTs. The result of the analysis shows that the more efforts are exhorted for the adjustment of information systems and organizational structures to accommodate the MTs, the more success from the adopted techniques results. However, the extent of adjustment for different management techniques differs one another due to the nature of each technique. With regard to the comparative impact of adjustment of information systems and that of organizational structures, the result shows that the latter has more direct and greater impact than the former.
