  • This study proposes an effective data management method for easing the burden on self-study report by analyzing operational data on accredited engineering programs. Four analysis criteria are developed: variability, difficulty level of collecting, urgency of analysis, timeliness. After the operational data are analyzed in terms of the analysis criteria, the data which should be managed in time are extracted according to the analysis results. This study proposes a data management method in which tasks of managing the timely-managed data are performed based on the regular academic schedule, so that the result of this study may be used as a working-level reference material.

  • There was heavy rains that happened for 23 days consecutively in 2006. Many regions have suffered because of rains and among them In-Je and Pyung-Chang area are the most suffered areas at that time. I conducted field survey at those two regions. The case of other damaged regions also reviewed in this paper and volunteer activity of volunteer groups is reviewed. I intended to make clear the volunteer activity system through analysing need capacity of volunteers. Main suggestions are as below. In management system, the nexts are discussed. Improving the ability of village headmen and volunteer groups that manage relief stuffs at the first level and cooperating method with companies are discussed. Supporting system for isolated regions and necessity about developing operating manual are suggested. In education system, specialized education for different disaster areas, field orientation education, and training managerial positions are suggested. In supporting system, improving NDMS(National Disaster Management System), computerized program for volunteer management, insurance for volunteers, issuing a confirmation of volunteering activity, securement of emergency communication system, budget for prevention and donation are also suggested.

  • Education in Korean universities is rapidly expanding to online education due to COVID-19. In response to such changes, this study proposed a means of improving the learning management system of Korean universities and analyzed the effects of using the system. The important results of this study are as follows: the learning management system was composed of 'pre-class learning,' 'team activity,' and 'participation learning' to support team-based learning. The effects that the users (instructors, learners) can obtain by adopting team-based learning and using the system were analyzed. The study concludes that for instructors, teaching work may be alleviated. For learners, it was demonstrated that they could more easily access and use data required for their education.

Cooking workers' employment form included daily(88.2%) and regular (11.1%). suggesting that most were regular. Most cooking workers(77.4%) had at least high school certificate. Regarding the situation of cooking workers' disposition in subject schools, the number of student per one cooking worker was found as 91-120(37.2%), 61-90(22.6%). 60 and under(21.l %). 121-15006.7%). and 151 and over(2.5%). Cooking workers' level of performance of hygiene management was post-working stage(66.37/75 marks), pre-working stage(64.22/75 marks). and working stage(20.34/25 marks), The counting of meals articles in a pre-working stage(20.34/25 marks). temperature and required time in a working stage(18.78/25 marks), and machinery equipment and hygiene in a pre-working stage(21.40/25 marks) showed lowest of performance, which suggest poor service of hygiene. Cooking workers' performance of hygiene management by working stage showed the significant difference with school class(p<.001), type of schools with meals(p<.05). state of cooking workers' employment(p<.001), and cooking worker's disposition(p<.05). A working stage showed the significant difference with type of schools with meals(p<.05). A post-working stage showed the significant difference according to type of schools with meals(p<.05), and the methods of meals management(p<.05), and cooking workers' disposition(p<.05). In the execution of hygiene education, individual hygiene was highest(94.8%), followed by the management of machinery equipment and tools(89.7%), food poisoning and microorganism(94.7%), and the method of food treatment(76.4%). A yearly plan of hygiene education included established(83.9%) and not established(l6.1%). Regular education included not executed(25.1%), 2-3 times a month(l6.1%), and more than 4 a month(4.0%) and occasional education was not executed(57.0%), 1-3 times a month(26.3%), and more than 4 a month(l5.7%). In the methods for hygiene education, oral education(95.7%) was used most, followed by demonstration(10.5%), poster/photo(10.5%), video/slide(3.7%), and computer(3.7%). Frequency of improvement and complement of hygiene education included once a month(56.3%), once a year(20.7%), by quarter(l1.5%), and every six months(1l.5%). Newspaper was used most in materials of hygiene education, followed by internet, TV, nutrition technician's reeducation, information exchange between members, educational office's training, and reference book, and educational office's material. and symposium. • This study has tried to find the gap of health promoting behavior and the lower level-health responsibility, physical activity, self-actualization, stress management and self-efficacy-between new freshmen and other university students in dormitories who have taken health education as an elective course through health education. With 105 students conducted self-answering survey. It was conducted from June 12 to June 13 of the year 2013. Analysis has been conducted into 5-point scale in every parts of health promoting behavior, 4-point scale in self-efficacy. As a result of the study, after health education, the increasing level of the score was bigger than general university students in preceding research before education; from this, we could interpret that the peers who live together lead positive competition. For before-and-after affects of education, after-education score increased statistically significantly higher from before-education score for both freshmen and other students on every item of the survey. Especially, self-efficacy and stress management, which are the lower level of health promoting behavior, have shown statistic significance of health education. When comparing freshmen and other students, the item that showed significant difference was 'self-efficacy,' and for both before and after health education, other students had higher score than freshmen. Based on the result of the analysis, for those who live together with group of people such as in-dorm students, group education is preferred to personal education; in addition, when selecting health education recipients, better achievement of education will be expected by primarily educating students who have lower level of self-efficacy and stress, especially freshmen who have lower self-efficacy level than other students in university.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the necessity of safety awareness and education regarding the use of laboratories, and to foster safety awareness during intramural and extracurricular activities in high schools. The study conducted a questionnaire to 290 eleventh grade students of three high schools located in Seoul. The collected data were statistically analyzed. The result illustrates that 64.8% of students have experienced safety education during a regular class, 6.6% have experienced accidents, and 68.0% have experienced safety education during field activities. The result concludes that there is a lack of prior safety education as well as overall low awareness on the necessity of safety education. In particular, students who have experienced safety education recognizes the necessity of emergency education regarding laboratory accident more than those who did not receive such education. Thus, a systematic management of laboratory safety education and multilateral management measures for students' safety are required. There is a relatively high correlation between safety intention of R&D and Education factors and Community and Laboratory Safety Education. As much as there is a high safety demand regarding the laboratory instruments and experiment, it shows high intention of safety lab operation as well as count measurement of lab accident. This study recommends developing a laboratory safety education program and management methods appropriate for high school students.

  • The purpose of this study was to assess knowledge and performance of cancer pain management of nurses and nurses' aides in long-term care hospitals. Subjects were 84 nurses and 72 nurses' aides recruited from seven long-term care hospitals in Gwangju city and Jeonranam-do. SPSS/WIN 21.0 was used for data analysis by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. The mean scores of knowledge of cancer pain management were 16.84, and the score for performance was 2.88. There were significant differences in the knowledge of cancer pain management according to education level, job, and cancer pain management guidelines. Significant differences in performance of cancer pain management were observed according to education level, job, number of beds, cognition of cancer pain management guidelines, and clinical practice guideline for cancer pain management. Knowledge, number of beds, and clinical practice guideline for cancer pain management affected in performance of cancer pain management. Education program for cancer pain management and clinical practice guideline for cancer pain management are needed to improve performance of cancer pain management of nurses and nurses' aides in long-term care hospitals.
