  • The purposes of this study were to identify the needs for the employer-supported day care service and to analyze the factors related to the needs for the day care service of the married employees. KLFI(1995)'s National data were used and three Logistic models and one Catmod model were employed to analyse the effects of the independent variables on the needs for the day care service. The results of this study were as follows: First, half of employed workers needed the employer-supported child care service. Second, they preferred the day care center near their residential area than in their work site. Third, according to their age, type of occupation, and their difficulties for the childcare and household work, employed men and women needs on site day care differently. Finally, their needs for the expenditure of duty care service differed by their age, sex, and occupation, and their levels of difficulties for the childcare and household work. These findings suggest that duty care service for the employed man and woman are supported diversely according to their needs and preferences.

  • The welding distortion of a hull structure in the shipbuilding industry is inevitable at each assembly stage. The geometric inaccuracy caused by the distortion tends to preclude the introduction of automation and mechanization. Thus, additional man-hours are needed for the adjusting work in the assembly stage. To overcome this problem, a distortion control method should be applied. For this purpose, it is necessary to develop an accurate prediction method that can explicitly account for the influence of various factors on the welding distortion. In order to minimize the weld-induced residual deformation, this paper proposes the optimum welding sequence as a method for distortion control. The validity of this method has been substantiated by a number of numerical simulations and experiments.

  • This paper deals with reliability and MTTF analysis of a non-repairable man-machine system operating under different weather conditions. The system consists of a hardware(machine) and a two-operator standby subsystem such as the air combat maneuvering of fighters with dual seat. The failure times for the subsystems follow the exponential distribution with constant parameter. By considering not only the effect on hardware component but also the weather conditions and human performance factors such as the operator's errors, a Markov model is presented as a method for evaluating the system reliability of time continuous operation tasks. Laplace transforms of the various state probabilities have been derived and then reliability of the system, at any time t, has been computed by inversion process. MTTF has also been computed.

  • When Power market is restructured, we have an argument with selecting Transmission loss factors. First, we determine the method of calculating Transmission loss factor using OPF (Optimal Power Flow) or PF (Power Flow Equation). Then, we decide that we applicate the factor which are identical value all the year or which are floating Transmission loss factor every each hour. In this study, we accomplish the method of computing Transmission cost in competitive market.

  • Caodaism officially came into existence in 1926 in Southern Vietnam and soon became a spiritual phenomenon, in the sense of spiritual and social influence. Despite being sandwiched between political forces and ruling governments, Caodaism steadily grew far beyond its national boundary. After 95 years, Caodaism eventually reached Taiwan when a new small Cao Đài Congregation, approved by top Cao Đài Dignitaries in Vietnam, was established in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City by a group identifying as 'Vietnamese New Immigrants' in Taiwan. This article traced this religious organization's doctrine, philosophy, prophecy and relevant socio-cultural factors and found that (1) Caodaists see the successful spreading of Caodaism to Taiwan as having been prophesied long ago; (2) Caodaists believe that any human efforts by Cao Đài missionaries to spread Caodaism overseas without approval from Divinities could end up in failure; and (3) the similarities in social, cultural, and religious practices between the peoples of Vietnam and Taiwan lay a strong foundation for Caodaism to further develop in Taiwan.

  • This research was performed to investigate the characteristics and determination factors on tertiary hospital inpatients. The used data was the four waves of Korea Health Panel(2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), and the number of subjects was 4,430 cases of tertiary and general hospital admission. The statistical methodology used in the study is the logistic regression model. The significant affecting factors in utilizing tertiary hospital admission were gender, marital status, education, household income, residence region and ICD-10 classification. Man, graduating college/university, married, high-income were socio-economic affecting factors in tertiary hospital admission. Medical need factor of ICD-10 classification and residence region of inpatients was also significant affecting factors in tertiary hospital admission. The 81.4% of inpatients at tertiary hospital had chronic disease and the 12.9% of inpatients readmitted, the 68.2% had a selecting doctor and the only 26.7% of inpatients reinforced by private medical insurance. This study recommended the Korean government to provide proper rule for tertiary hospital admission in order to improve the equity and efficiency of health care system.

  • Many antinutritional and toxic factors abound in tropical seeds, which are also generally rich in nutrients and therefore more prone to attack from herbivores. Antinutritional and toxic factors are considered to defend seeds against environmental vagaries and thus help to protect them. These factors though good for the plant, cause deleterious effects or are even toxic to animals and man. The conventional seeds cultivated for oil or non-oil purposes, and general aspects of antinutritional factors are not presented here as these have already been discussed widely by many workers. Deficits in conventional protein and energy sources in the tropics have stimulated a quest for alternative feeds both for animals and humans. This article attempts to highlight two new oilseed crops, Jatropha curcas and Moringa oleifera, and in addition deals with some under-utilized seeds with potential as animal feed. Most of these seed plants are adapted to various marginal growing conditions in the tropics and can help to mitigate the prevailing deficit in protein and energy sources. Antinutritional and toxic factors in seed or seed meal, various approaches to detoxify seed meal, and future research and development priorities for their exploitation as animal feeds are presented.

  • The structure of layer for success factors of company project can be known by FSM which is available to recognize structure of the system. However, the relationship between the layers which belongs to the success factors of company projects can be unknown. From these viewpoints, this study is to analyze the structure of the relation between the layers contained the success factors of company projects using fuzzy system. Therefore, the relationship between lower vs middle layer and middle vs upper layer are obtained by evaluation model of company projects which has possibility and necessity of fuzzy system as fuzzy relation matrix. Using these results, fuzzy relation analysis is done and showed the usefulness.

  • Studies on the ways to construct agreeable sound-amenity have been processed in Korea recently and Virtual Acoustics Field Simulation System (VAFSS) which is an active acoustics reproducing system has been made as a technique to realize the results of the study. This system catches the changes of surroundings and produce sounds which go well with the mood of the space. The fact that a man thinks a sound goes well with factors of the environment should be an individual evaluation. Thus, the standards to classify factors influencing the preference of the sound, which can be judged by the environment, are needed. This study suggests the standards of factors to provide agreeable sound for people according to changes of the time and other elements. Among the factors influencing environment, the temperature, the humidity and the wind were suggested as standards of discomfort Index and wind chin temperature. Besides, only the intensity of illumination has been chosen to estimate the intensity of radiation as a part of factors of the whether.

  • Objectives : This study empirically verified the effects of service provided by medical service providers on customer satisfaction and favorable word-of-mouth intention. Moreover, it measured the mediation effects of customer satisfaction in the relationship between medical service quality factors and favorable word-of-mouth intention and proposed implications in terms of marketing. Methods : The research hypothesis was verified with a structural equation, and the Sobel test was used to analyze of customer satisfaction in the relationship between medical service quality factors and word-of-mouth intention. Results : From the hypothesis verification results, physical and human factors among the quality factors of medical service affected customer satisfaction.Additionally, customer satisfaction interacted as a factor influencing favorable word-of-mouth intention. Conclusions : Medical service providers should work to enhance the satisfaction of customers in terms of human and physical factors by providing quality medical service that is different from other providers and by improving the quality of medical service and the environment which could lead to effective word-of-mouth intention.
