The Ideal Image of Man of Ancient Chinese in Shi Jing (詩經)

  • It is a universal phenomenon for people to establish ideal images of man according to a specific time, society and race. Thus, people have invested endless endeavor to reach the standard of ideal image. Especially, they made efforts to embody the ideal image of man as a perfect human image using appearance feature like a human body and clothing. Shi jing(詩經) is considered as a very valuable source book which reveals the life style, customs, thinking, ideas, and emotion of people of that period. The purpose of this study is to analyze the ideal image of man and woman which ancient Chinese pursued, focusing Shi jing(詩經). The results are as following. The ideal image of man is nice, handsome, dignified, generous and gentle. Besides, he should have adequate sense of humor, tall height. clear eye, broad forehead, moderate and upright behavior, outstanding horsemanship and marksmanship and braveness. Meanwhile, the ideal image of woman was described as gentle, decent, and graceful. Also, she should have tall height, light complexion, pretty hand, long neck, broad forehead, clear eyes, and charming black hair. The ideal beauty of woman included nobility and elegant personality in addition to the good physical appearance.

  • In clothing, a tendency of Bisexuality is in case of wearing clothing of the opposite sex, the mixing of modeling principle and characteristic of man and woman, the exclusion characteristic of sexuality that present sexlessness-the third sex. They-Designer Gabrielle Chanel, YSL, Giorgio Armani-give characteristic of man's fashion to women's fashion. However, the consciousness in design is different. Chanel apply principle of man's suit to woman's wear to express authority and power about gender image, hereby she express women liberation and equality of man and woman based on social ideology through fashion especially, she express women's sexual independency and self assurance to her clothing. YSL express liberal and bold women that pursuit reasonal and liberal life in 1970. As he apply tailoed suit's rigidity to women's wear, he made 'pants look' universal in women's wear through“Dress for success”in modern life. Armani apply successful modern image to women's wear, so he express women's image of confident intellegent as well as feminine image. He focus women's new image as man living liberal and indivisual life excluding social category rather than will of equality of man and women. Gernreich break sexual prejudice and release women freely, furthermore, as he express concern of sexuality pursuit liberty of mankind surpassing sex distinction with women liberty. Gianni Versace pursuit mix and extinguishment of sexual image many-sided, and break fixed idea of sex, and reprovide feminine and masculine image. So his design tend homosexuality because he regard women's glamor and ostensible sexuality as standard of beauty, he apply this to man's wear as well as women's wear. With this, he expresses sensitive and liberal man's that break characteristic of Gender that symbolize power and authority in man's wear through 'Without ties'.

미디어에 나타난 남성의 이미지와 메이크업의 사회문화적 가치 분석 (The Sociocultural Value Research of Man Image and Make-up in Media)

  • 본 연구에서는 현대 사회의 변화로 주목받고 있는 남성의 선호 이미지와 가치를 규명하고 미디어에 등장하는 인물을 통해 남성 메이크업이 현대 사회문화적 가치를 어떻게 충족시키고 있는지 알아보고자 한다. 연구 방법으로는 우선 문헌 자료와 인터넷을 중심으로 남성의 선호 이미지와 사회문화적 가치를 고찰하였다. 다음으로, 디자인 요소를 중심으로 미디어에 등장한 인물을 통해 남성 메이크업 사례를 비교 분석하였다. 첫째, 실용적 가치는 목적 지향적인 행동을 위한 합리적 사용의 기술적, 도구적 가치이다. 실용적 가치를 강조한 메이크업은 밝고 내추럴한 피부 표현, 최대한 자제된 색조의 연출, 진한 아이브로우 색상의 사용으로 표현되었다. 둘째, 미적 가치는 순수한 미적 가치만을 추구하는 표현적, 장식적 가치이다. 셋째, 상징적 가치는 역사와 사회에서 체험되는 의지적, 의도적 가치이다. 이는 남성들의 구매행동 동기를 설명하는데 있어 중요한 기준이 되는 선호 이미지를 이해하고 이미지 관리 형태에 대한 분석과 향후 남성들의 뷰티 트렌드를 유추하는데 실질적인 기초 자료로 활용 될 수 있으리라 사료된다.

1980년대 중반 남성 패션에 나타난 '뉴 맨(New Man)' 이미지 (The Image of 'New Man' in Men's Fashion in the mid-1980s)

  • This paper is purposed to clarify that an increase of the matter of concern about men's fashion in the mid-1980s was coincided with rapid change of images for men and diversification within the context of economy, society, culture and to analyze the characteristic of each fashion and the meaning. Findings are as follows: 'New men' played a key role creating and communicating the new male image through the media, as a new masculine appeared in the middle of 1980s. Especially it was spreaded into with British as a center between the generations of young men described as a white-collar worker about the ages from 18 to 35 specifically and appeared by the cultural background in accordance with the spread of consumerism, materialism and post modern feminism and the development of men's fashion. There were 2 types of fashion styles for 'New men' image on the media in the mid-1980s. The First is 'power suit look style' which is self-conscious, including 'corporate formal suit look' and 'soft & sexy suit look'. The Second is 'extravagant body conscious style' which characterize the decolletage and androgynous, including 'tough sports look' and 'sexy skirt look'. Lastly, the 'New men' image means a man as a visible object and a man in the image world.

  • This study's purpose is how express gender image according to sex in editorial fashion photography. This study's objectives are the women's magazine Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and man's magazine GQ, Esquire published 2000-2005 within the country. The photography was classified with established a standard based on the precede studies. The photo is classified Gender image according to dress and its ornaments, model character and atmosphere by Sex Expression of femininity woman has exposure of body parts and emphasizing thin eyebrows and red lips, soft and mild image, modest and static pose. Man expressed femininity used ladylike color and pattern, erotic exposure of body and long hair style. Commonly emphasizing red lips, natural background of flower plant, S-line. For expression of masculinity man and woman are used masculinity item, short hair-style and thick eyebrows. And also emphasize square like chin and shoulder. Specially, woman used direct silhouette to conceal soft body curved line. The expressions of androgynous woman and man are colorful dress and make-up. Woman emphasized male face to show and man expressed soft image through hull of abundant material of fur. All two sex selected method that conceal body curved line and face to express sexless. Hiding characteristics of body and face make indistinct of sex. The gender is affected by atmosphere such as model and illumination background as much as clothes because of the editorial fashion photography.

스테레오 영상 보정 알고리즘에 기반한 새로운 중간시점 영상합성 기법 (A New Intermediate View Reconstruction Scheme based-on Stereo Image Rectification Algorithm)

  • 본 논문에서는 비교정 상태의 스테레오 입력영상에 영상보정 알고리즘을 적용한 새로운 중간시점 영상합성 기법을 제시하고 그 성능을 분석하였다. 제시된 방법에서는 먼저, 좌, 우 스테레오 영상의 각 화소 간들에 대한 유사도 및 모서리 검출을 통해 특징점을 추출한 다음, 이들 특징점을 이용하여 스테레오 영상간의 움직임 벡터와 에피폴라 선을 검출하였다. 그리고 스테레오 영상간의 수평선을 일치시킴으로써 좌, 우 스테레오 영상을 보정하고 최적으로 적응적 변위추정 기법을 이용하여 최적화된 중간시점 영상을 합성하였다. CCETT의 'Man' 영상과 스테레오 카메라를 사용하여 촬영한 '사람' 및 '자동차' 영상을 사용한 중간영상 합성 실험결과 본 논문에서 제안된 보정기법으로 교정된 스테레오 영상의 경우가 비교정 상태에 비해 'Man' 영상은 3.6㏈, '사람' 및 '자동차' 영상은 2.59㏈, 1.47㏈의 PSNR이 각각 개선됨이 분석됨으로써 본 논문에서 새로이 제시한 스테레오 영상 보정 알고리즘 기반의 중간시점 영상합성 기법의 실질적 응용 가능성을 제시하였다.

수중 인공구조물에 대한 사이드스캔소나 탐사자료의 영상처리 (Digital Image Processing of Side Scan Sonar for Underwater Man-made Structure)

  • Side scan sonar using acoustic wave plays a very important role in the underwater, sea floor, and shallow marine geologic survey. In this study, we have acquired side scan sonar data for the underwater man-made structures, artificial reefs and fishing grounds, installed and distributed in the survey area. We applied digital image processing techniques to side scan sonar data in order to improve and enhance an image quality. We carried out digital image processing with various kinds of filtering in spatial domain and frequency domain. We tested filtering parameters such as kernel size, differential operator, and statistical value. We could easily estimate the conditions, distribution and environment of artificial structures through the interpretation of side scan sonar.

하우스멜론 수확자동화를 위한 원격영상 처리알고리즘 개발 (Development of Tele-image Processing Algorithm for Automatic Harvesting of House Melon)

  • Hybrid robust image processing algorithm to extract visual features of melon during the cultivation was developed based on a wireless tele-operative interface. Features of a melon such as size and shape including position were crucial to successful task automation and future development of cultivation data base. An algorithm was developed based on the concept of hybrid decision-making which shares a task between the computer and the operator utilizing man-computer interactive interface. A hybrid decision-making system was composed of three modules such as wireless image transmission, task specification and identification, and man-computer interface modules. Computing burden and the instability of the image processing results caused by the variation of illumination and the complexity of the environment caused by the irregular stem and shapes of leaves and shades were overcome using the proposed algorithm. With utilizing operator's teaching via LCD touch screen of the display monitor, the complexity and instability of the melon identification process has been avoided. Hough transform was modified for the image obtained from the locally specified window to extract the geometric shape and position of the melon. It took less than 200 milliseconds processing time.

  • This study focuses on the art style research of the 3D Animation <Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse>, exploring the film's innovation in art design. The article first analyzes how the movie skillfully blends American comics, watercolor painting style, Pollock drip painting, and ink painting, among other artistic techniques, to present a unique visual experience for the audience. By specifically dissecting the character design and scene composition in the movie, it explores the specific application of these art styles and their methods in digital image production. Ultimately, the paper emphasizes the contribution of <Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse> to 3D Animated cinema, particularly its innovation in the field of art design, as well as its inspiration and possibilities for the diversity of art styles in animated films. Overall, this study aims to provide in-depth academic insight into the field of animated film art design and to promote its development and innovation.

군생활체험 TV프로그램 '진짜사나이' 시청이 대학생의 군 이미지와 안보의식에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Watching Military Life Experience TV Program ('Real Man') on University Students' Military Image and Security Awareness)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 진짜사나이 시청이 대학생의 군 이미지와 안보의식에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 서울, 충청, 전라에 있는 대학생 중 편의추출법으로 392명을 선정하였다. 조사도구는 설문지를 사용하였으며, 자료 분석은 SPSS 21.0 program을 이용하여 요인분석, 빈도분석, t-test, 일원변량분석 및 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 첫째. 대학생의 개인적 특성과 진짜사나이 시청정도에 따라 군 이미지, 안보의식에 차이가 나타났다. 군 이미지 하위요인 중 합리성, 응집성, 권위성, 폭력성, 권위성에서 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 안보의식 하위요인 중 대북정책에 대한 시각, 북한에 대한 시각, 북한의 군사적 위협, 안보의지에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, '진짜사나이'를 시청한 대학생의 군 이미지가 안보의식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 군 이미지가 안보의 식의 하위요인 중 북한에 대한 시각, 북한의 군사적 위협, 안보의지에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
