This paper deals with digital watermarking methods to protect ownership of image with targeting the ultra-high multi-view or free-view image service in which an arbitrary viewpoint image should be rendered at the user side. The main purpose of it is not to propose a superior method to the previous methods but to show how difficult to construct a watermarking scheme to overcome the viewpoint translation attack. Therefore we target the images with various attacks including viewpoint translation. This paper first shows how high the error rate of the extracted watermark data from viewpoint-translated image by basic schemes of the method using 2DDCT(2D discrete cosine transform) and the one using 2DDWT(2D discrete wavelet transform), which are for 2D image. Because the difficulty in watermarking for the viewpoint-translated image comes from the fact that we don't know the translated viewpoint, we propose a scheme to find the translated viewpoint, which uses the image and the corresponding depth information at the original viewpoint. This method is used to construct the two non-blind watermarking methods to be proposed. They are used to show that recovery of the viewpoint affect a great deal of the error rate of the extracted watermark. Also by comparing the performances of the proposed methods and the previous ones, we show that the proposed ones are better in invisibility and robustness, even if they are non-blind.

Although the development of mobile devices are made us a free life, they were displayed the subject of this financial crime and attacking forces in the other side. Among finance-related crime is become a serious crime that are targeting smartphones by SMS phishing, phishing, pharming, voice phishing etc. In particular, SMS phishing is increased according to phenomenon using the nature of a text message in the mobile. SMS phishing is become new crime due to the burden to the smartphone user. Their crime is also the advanced way from the existing fraud, such as making the malicious apps. Especially it generates loopholes in the law by a method such as using a foreign server. For safe from SMS phishing attacks, proactive pre-diagnosis is even more important rather than post responses. It is necessary to deploy blocking programs for detecting SMS phishing attacks in advance to do this. In this paper we are investigating the process of block types and block apps that are currently deployed and presenting the evaluation of the application of the detection block setting app.
Sensor nodes are easily exposed to malicious attackers by physical attacks. The attacker can generate various attacks using compromised nodes in a sensor network. The false report generating application layers injects the network by the compromised node. If a base station has the injected false report, a false alarm also occurs and unnecessary energy of the node is used. In order to defend the attack, a statistical en-route filtering method is proposed to filter the false report that goes to the base station as soon as possible. A path renewal method, which improves the method, is proposed to maintain a detection ability of the statistical en-route filtering method and to consume balanced energy of the node. In this paper, we proposed the secure path cycle method to consume effective energy for a path renewal. To select the secure path cycle, the base station determines through hop counts and the quantity of report transmission by an evaluation function. In addition, three methods, which are statistical en-route filter, path selection method, and path renewal method, are evaluated with our proposed method for efficient energy use. Therefore, the proposed method keeps the secure path and makes the efficiency of energy consumption high.

Recently, due to the importance of information security, security vulnerability analysis and various information protection technologies and security systems are being introduced as a countermeasure against cyber-attacks in new as well as existing buildings, and information security studies on high-rise buildings are also being conducted. However, security system introduction and research are generally performed from the viewpoint of general IT systems and security policies, so there is little consideration of the infrastructure of the building. In particular, the BAS or building infrastructure, is a closed system, unlike typical IT systems, but has unique structural features that accommodate open functions. Insufficient understanding of these system structures and functions when establishing a building security policy makes the information security policies for the BAS vulnerable and increases the likelihood that all of the components of the building will be exposed to malicious cyber-attacks via the BAS. In this paper, we propose an architecture reference model that integrates three different levels of BAS structure (from?) different vendors. The architectures derived from this study and the security characteristics and vulnerabilities at each level will contribute to the establishment of security policies that reflect the characteristics of the BAS and the improvement of the safety management of buildings.

Recently, the number of internet service companies is increasing and so is the number of malicious attackers. Damage such as distrust about credit and instability of the service by these attacks may influence us fatally as it makes companies image failing down. One of the frequent and fatal attacks is DoS(Denial-of-Service). Because the attacker performs IP spoofing for hiding his location in DoS attack it is hard to get an exact location of the attacker from source IP address only. and even if the system recovers from the attack successfully, if attack origin has not been identified, we have to consider the possibility that there may be another attack again in near future by the same attacker. This study suggests to find the attack origin through MAC address marking of the attack origin. It is based on an IP trace algorithm, called Marking Algorithm. It modifies the Martins Algorithm so that we can convey the MAC address of the intervening routers, and as a result it can trace the exact IP address of the original attacker. To improve the detection time, our algorithm also contains a technique to improve the packet arrival rate. By adjusting marking probability according to the distance from the packet origin we were able to decrease the number of needed packets to traceback the IP address.

Various security devices are used to protect internal networks and valuable information from rapidly evolving cyber attacks. Firewall, which is the most commonly used security device, tries to prevent malicious attacks based on a text-based filtering rule (i.e., access control policy), by allowing or blocking access to communicate between inside and outside environments. However, in order to protect a valuable internal network from large networks, it has no choice but to increase the number of access control policy. Moreover, the text-based policy requires time-consuming and labor cost to analyze various types of vulnerabilities in firewall. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a 3D-based hierarchical visualization method, for intuitive analysis and management of access control policy. In particular, by providing a drill-down user interface through hierarchical architecture, Can support the access policy analysis for not only comprehensive understanding of large-scale networks, but also sophisticated investigation of anomalies. Finally, we implement the proposed system architecture's to verify the practicality and validity of the hierarchical visualization methodology, and then attempt to identify the applicability of firewall data analysis in the real-world network environment.

Broadband Convergence Network (BcN) is the network which unifies telephone network, the Internet and broadcasting networks. Threats to each network can bring serious problems in BcN environment since the whole network can be damaged by various types of attack. The purpose of this study is to suggest the prototype of intrusion-tolerant network design of BcN to guarantee the continuous operation of BcN services against malicious attacks. First, BcN service components, selected by analysis of service time and coverage importance, are classified into three groups by their type: server type, gateway type and hybrid type. Second, the necessity of applying intrusion tolerance on BcN services is deduced by possible attack scenarios on BcN. Finally, we suggest the intrusion-tolerant network design suitable to BcN, using hardware redundancy and secure policies. Also, we present that the suggested network design can increase the intrusion tolerance of BcN.

In this paper we compare two frequency domain digital watermarking methods for digital Images, namely DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) based and DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) based methods. Unlike DCT coefficients, which always have real values, DFT coefficients normally have complex values Therefore, the DFT coefficients have amplitude and phase components Among them, the phase components are known to carry more Important information for the Images. So, we insert the watermark to the phase of the DFT coefficients only This DFT watermarking method is compared with the conventional DCT based watermarking method for the object-based watermarking problem. Experimental results show that the DFT-phase based method IS more robust to general Image processing attacks including resize, lossy compression(JPEG), blurring and median filtering. On the other hand, the DCT based method is more robust to the malicious attack which inserts different watermarks.

Commonly, in the Sensor Network that composed with multiple nodes uses Ad-hoc protocol to communicate each other. Each sensed data packets are collected by base node and processed by Host PC. But the Ad-hoc protocol is too vulnerable to Sinkhole attack, where the intruder attracts surrounding nodes with unfaithful routing information, and then performs selective forwarding or changes the data passing through it. The Sinkhole attack increases overhead over the network and boosts energy consumption speed to decrease network's life time. Since the other attacks can be easily adopted through sinkhole attack, the countermeasure must be considered carefully. In this paper, we proposed the Hop-depth algorithm that detects intruder in Sinkhole attack and colluded nodes. First, the proposed algorithm makes list of suspected nodes and identifies the real intruder in the suspected node list through the Hop-depth count value. And recalculates colluder's path information to find the real intruder. We evaluated the performance of the proposed algorithm using NS2. We compared and analyzed the success ratio of finding real intruder, false positive ratio, false negative ratio, and energy consumption.
U-Healthcare is a convergence service with medical care and IT which enables to examine, manage and maintain the patient's health any time and any place. For communication conducted in U-Healthcare service, the transmission methods are used that patient's medical checkup analysis results or emergency data are transmitted to hospital server using wireless communication method. At this moment when the attacker who executes the malicious access makes DRDoS(Distributed Reflection DoS) attack to U-Healthcare devices or BS(Base Station), various damages occur that contextual information of urgent patients are not transmitted to hospital server. In order to deal with this problem, this study suggests DRDoS attack scenario and countermeasures against DRDoS and converges with Big Data which could process large amount of packets. When the attacker attacks U-Healthcare devices or BS(Base Station), DB is interconnected and the attack is prevented if it is coincident. This study analyzes the attack method that could occur in U-Healthcare devices or BS which are remote medical service and suggests countermeasures against the security threat using Big Data.
