The purposes of this study were to investigate the differences of appearance behavior and ego integrity of elderly women according to demographic variables, and health, and to examine how the ego integrity of elderly women was influenced by appearance behavior, health, and demographic variables. The subjects were 117 elderly women(aged 60 to 70) in Jinju, Korea who were interviewed face-to face with a survey questionnaire. The results of the study were as follows. There were significant differences in appearance adornment and ego integrity (wise living and attitude toward life) according to age. After controlling for age, there were significant differences in appearance interest, makeup, and ego integrity according to education. There was a significant difference in ego integrity (attitude toward life) according to the presence of a spouse or mate. There were significant differences in appearance interest, makeup, and ego integrity according to health. Health and education had a significant effect on satisfaction with the present living. Health, age(-), and appearance behavior had a significant effect on wise living. Health, age(-), and education had a significant effect on attitude toward life. Education and health had a significant effect on appearance behavior. The present findings indicate that health state and appearance behavior, such as appearance interest and makeup, had a significant effect on the ego integrity of elderly women. On the whole, the ego integrity of elderly women was positively correlated with the level of health state, education, and appearance behavior.
This study verified the moderating effect of the influence of the reference group on the effect of socio-cultural attitude toward appearance and appearance complex on semi-permanent makeup satisfaction. To this end, a survey was conducted on 210 people who had undergone semi-permanent makeup and the results were obtained. The results were analyzed through the SPSS program, and the results are as follows. The recognition of the social importance of appearance among social-cultural attitudes toward appearance had a significant effect on satisfaction with the procedure. The self-conscious appearance complex had a significant effect on the satisfaction with the procedure. It was found that the influence of the reference group had a moderating effect on the effect of internalization, which is a social-cultural attitude toward appearance, on the satisfaction with the procedure. showed Both the appearance complex caused by others, the appearance complex, and the self-conscious appearance complex showed a moderating effect of the reference group effect in the effect on the satisfaction of semi-permanent procedures. The purpose of this study was to analyzed the effects of educational recognition sub-factors (necessity, utility, value, cost, adequacy) on the field usability and satisfaction and the correlation between each factor for 220 applicants who have taken the national technical certificate of cosmetologist (make-up). In the practical courses of makeup certificate, the most-used course was selected as beauty makeup. It found for improvement need cause there was a high necessity and there was a low recognition of the cost, the number of annual written and practical test in the recognition of certification education. In field usability 'Beauty make-up utilization' showed high recognition, and it showed high satisfaction for acquisition of certificate satisfaction, 'The salary' showed low recognition. The necessity, cost, adequacy among educational recognition sub-factor of the national technical certificate had a significant positive effect on the field usability and satisfaction, and showed the most effect as adequacy on the field usability and the cost on the satisfaction. Therefore, efforts are needed to reduce acquisition costs of certificate and improve highly available theories and technique for segmentation and specialization of make-up certificate.

The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of the professor's image making (internal, external, social image) perceived by college students on instructional outcomes. The influence of the professor's image making on class satisfaction and class commitment was analyzed, and the mediating effect of class satisfaction and the relationship between class satisfaction and class commitment in the relationship between image making and class commitment was considered. First, it was found that the external image and social image of the professor had a significant effect on class satisfaction. The level of interpersonal relations, such as communication, manners, manners, and intimacy as well as the management of external expressions, clothing style, makeup, hair, gestures, postures, attitudes, voices, speech, and speech speed brings satisfaction to the class. Second, it was found that the professor's inner image, outer image, and social image had a significant effect on class commitment. In order to satisfy the students' immersion in class, professors are required to manage internal, external, and social images. Third, it was found that class satisfaction had a significant effect on class commitment. If the class satisfaction is high, it means that class immersion also increases. Fourth, as for the social image of a professor, it was found that class satisfaction had a completely mediating effect in the relationship between class commitment, and the external image of a professor was found to have a partial mediating effect in class satisfaction in the relationship between class commitment. It was found that the social image of professors perceived by college students improve class satisfaction, and this improves class satisfaction further enhances class immersion.
Over time, the beauty industry has entered a mature industry and cannot survive unless it changes. In reality, the AR market for virtual experimental marketing is growing in the beauty industry, and global companies like FACEBOOK in the US are investing heavily in AR. Therefore, this study utilizes augmented reality technique to find out how the experience of using AR application affects female consumers' satisfaction and how they feel. This study will focus on how the relationship with purchase intention is mediated. In addition, we will help to suggest the development direction of augmented reality with makeup by analyzing the overall factors at the time when new technology, augmented reality marketing is becoming active.
The developments of consumption culture and mass media have caused consumers to take a greater interest in appearance, and as a result, the appearance related industry has been rapidly developed. Since appearance serves as a means to attain a smooth and successful social life, women invest a lot of time in cultivating their appearance more prominently than others and are more agreeable to the criteria of beauty in society. This study is to analyze the degree of satisfaction of appearance in teens to women in their 50s as classified by their lifestyle. For the data analysis, the statistical program, SPSS WIN 14.0 was used. First, the results of examining the degree of interest in appearance, the degree of bodily satisfaction, and the degree of bodily importance showed that the interest in appearance was highest in the fashion pursuing group. The degree of bodily importance was highest in the economy-oriented group. Second, appearance management attitudes showed significant differences m hair attitudes, makeup attitudes, skin attitudes, face-lifting attitudes, and clothing attitudes, depending on the types of lifestyle. Third, it could be seen that the conservative-oriented groups were doing more skin care management than the other groups.
This study examined Chinese students' satisfaction level regarding their Korean Internet shopping mall experiences and the measured factors were pre-purchase, purchase, delivery, A/S and security, additionally, evaluate the level of repurchase intention on Chinese students living in South Korea. To accomplish these goals, an online questionnaire survey was conducted between October 1 and 10, 2011. A total of 365 questionnaires were used for the final analysis. The analysis process involved many statistical methods such as frequency, correlation and regression. The results indicate the following finding: First, Chinese students normally visited and purchased from popular Internet shopping malls and the items that they purchased the most frequently were clothing and shoes, makeup, computer and electronics. Second, the Chinese students' satisfaction level regarding their Internet shopping mall experiences was not high. They were especially worried about security matters regarding their personal or financial information. Third, their satisfaction level with the delivery process has the largest influence on their repurchase intention. Also, their gender, the length of time they had lived in Korea, the length of time they spent on Korean Internet shopping mall websites, the amount of frequency of online shopping in Korea, and their satisfaction with their purchase, the delivery process, the A/S process and security affected their repurchase intention in different degrees. The conclusion provides valuable information for devising a strategic direction for improving the foreigners' satisfaction level regarding and repurchase intention on Korean Internet shopping malls.
The purpose of this study were to identity face satisfaction and make-up behavior according to their lifestyles of middle aged women. The subjects were 350 women of 40 - 59 years old. The results of this study were as follow: 1. Lifestyle factors of middle aged women were self confidence, leisure activities, interests in appearance, economical efficiency, conservatism, and value-orientation. They were classified into four types of dignified & appearance interested group, passive stagnated group, unconfident & economic group, and value-oriented & leisure group according to their lifestyles. 2. They were satisfied with their eyes, lips, and eyebrows, but not satisfied with face tone, face shape, and skin texture. Total face satisfaction level was over average. The face satisfaction level of dignified & appearance interested group and value-oriented & leisure group were higher than other groups, but that of passive stagnated group was the lowest. 3. They pursued internal beauty and natural makeup, and did not follow trendy colors. Dignified & appearance interested group pursued characteristic, elegant, changeable, and various make-up colors, but value-oriented & leisure group pursued more various, changeable, and trendy colors. They did not prefer trendy products because of high price. Dignified & appearance interested group and unconfident & economic group were highly price-oriented, but value-oriented & leisure group purchased trendy products. 4. Dignified & appearance interested group included working women with not much income, but passive stagnated group included low-educated and non-working women. Unconfident & economic group included low-educated non-working women with not much income, but value-oriented & leisure group included highly-educated working women with high income.
The aim of this study was to determine the therapeutic effects of beauty care on negative mental health, including stress and depression. Nail care, massage care, and makeup were used as programs for beauty therapy. Qualitative research was conducted with six female participants over five-month period. After interviewing the subjects in advance, beauty care treatments were performed every week 4 weeks in the following order: nail care, massage, and makeup. The results are as follows, First, the participants perceived beauty care in the form of 4 concepts: "courtesy in social life," "investment in oneself," "self-satisfaction," and "self-care." Second, the effects of beauty therapy were categorized as "psychological effects," "confidence," "behavioral changes," "evaluation of others," and "positive social effects." Third, each subject showed different psychological effects during the process when the function of the therapy took effect through the beauty care treatment. It was confirmed that confidence levels increased as a result of treatment through the process of becoming re-aware of oneself. Positive statements from the participants included: "I want to go out," "I have become kind and positive to others," "I have become more active in a given task," and "It seems that my work ability is improving." Finally, t-test results for self-esteem, depression, and stress showed there were significant differences in self-esteem and depression. This confirmed that self-esteem increased, and depression decreased after the beauty care treatment.
Our research participants were composed of health teachers exhausted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study analyzed the attitudes towards image-making through utilizing the job training at Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education on August 2022, where our study was able to obtain and analyze 30 elementary, middle, and high school health teachers who participated. Image making is defined as playing a role in increasing self-esteem through outward appearances such as facial expressions and posture, personal color, makeup, tone, hairstyling, and fashion and impacting individuals inwardly to increase self-confidence. Therefore, there is a positive impact in providing an image-making program that considers the occupational characteristics of a health teacher. It had the effect of stress relief and aided in building a healthier self-image among the participants. The results our study showed the following results. First, all participants had various concerns regarding their appearance and deemed that image-making was necessary, yet they needed to be more informed regarding the specific methods of doing so. Secondly, participants were mainly focused on purchasing makeup products for image making. Although participants showed interest in a personal color diagnosis, there needed to be more support in approaching the subject as the diagnosis was necessary from an expert. Third, participants stated that image-making should occur for their middle-aged selves when experienced in the field. Participants believed that they would be more concerned with how others viewed them after gaining expertise. Hence, this study found that the occupational characteristics of health teachers greatly benefitted from image-making programs oriented to their careers and would also show an increase in job satisfaction.
