  • Most web-based learning is furnishing single side and consistent training resource to learner. Research was gone to apply item analysis method or to introduce web-based learning system using studying pattern. But, we need complicated algorithm or parameter setting etc, for apply these method. Therefore, in this research, we design and implement an item selection system in consideration of learner's incorrectness rate and problem frequency selection rate about question of item selection attribute. Also, as that embody business logic about item selection by EJB, efficient system development is available and we improved maintenance and reusability.

Cost Analysis for Periodic Maintenance Policy with Minimal Repair (응급수리를 고려한 정기보전정책의 비용분석)

  • This study is concerned with cost analysis in periodic maintenance policy. Generally periodic maintenance policy in which item is repaired periodic interval times. And in the article minimal repair is considered. Minimal repair means that if a unit fails, unit is instantaneously restored to same hazard rate curve as before failure. In the paper periodic maintenance policy with minimal repair is as follows; Operating unit is periodically replaced in periodic maintenance time, if a failure occurs between minimal repair and periodic maintenance time, unit is replaced by a spate until the periodic time comes. Also unit undergoes minimal repair at failures in minimal-repair-for-failure interval. Then total expected cost per unit time is calculated according to maintenance period and scale parameter of failure distribution. Total cost factors ate included operating, fixed, minimal repair, periodic maintenance and replacement cost Numerical example is shown in which failure time of system has erlang distribution.

The Current Issues on Warranty & Maintenance Policy of the Second-Hand Products (중고제품의 보증과 보전정책에 대한 최근 연구 동향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research is to study research trend in the field of warranty and maintenance policy of second-hand products. Methods: To this end, we consider research articles, which deal with warranty and maintenance of the second-hand products, published on journals during the past 20 years and classify them by taxonomy scheme proposed by Shafiee and Chukova (2013). The taxonomy scheme consists of three maintenance models in warranty for second-hand product. In each models, we analyze proposed maintenance and warranty policies with respect to types of upgrade models, types of preventive maintenances, decision variables and decision criteria model. Results: We obtain the scheme of maintenance and warranty of the second-hand products and define cost related to warranty and maintenance of the second-hand item. Also, we summarize the characteristics of maintenance and warranty policies in each classified model. Conclusion: There have been several research reviews on maintenance and warranty polity of new products. This research surveys researches of authors during the past 20 years and classifies, summarizes and compares proposed maintenance and warranty policies of the second-hand products. This research provides useful information to researchers who are interested in maintenance and warranty of the second-hand products.

  • In the Multi-Echelon maintenance environment, METRIC(Multi-Echelon Technique for Repairable Item Control) has been used in several different inventory level selection models, such as MOD-METRIC, Vari-METRIC, and Dyna- ETRIC. While this model's logic is easy to be implemented, a critical assumption of infinite maintenance capacity would deteriorate actual values, especially Expected Back Order(EBO)s for each item. To improve the accuracy of EBO, we develop two models using simulation and queueing theory that calculates EBO considering finite capacity. The result of our numerical example shows that the expected backorder from our model is much closer to the true value than the one from Vari-METRIC. The queueing model is preferable to the simulation model regarding the computational time.

  • This paper deals with cost analysis model in periodic maintenance policy. The repair policy with minimal repair is considered as follow : as the occurrence of failure between minimal repair and periodic interval time, unit is replaced by a new unit before the periodic maintenance time comes. Then total expected cost per unit time is calculated according to time delta t in a view of customer's. The total expected costs are included repair and usage cost : operating, fixed, minimal repair, periodic maintenance and new unit expected cost. Numerical example is shown in which failure time of item has Normal distribution.

  • In these days, we are facing the needs of the times that the product have to be converted from quantity to quality. Most companys now pay more attention to maximize efficiency of facilities with introducing high priced equipments, those equipments are too automated and electronic that partial failure or short time stop leads to the stop of producing process in the whole factory. Consequently, effective maintenance management of production equipment becomes a only solution against problems. This thesis develops a preventive maintenance software that grasp a failure sign through daily inspection with management item, Machine-Capability index and estimate a trend, determine the time of preventive maintenance. The software is useful to the plant operator in analyzing information easily and controlling preventive maintenance operations efficiently.

  • 본 논문에서는 한국형 틸팅열차의 유지보수 활동을 위해 신뢰성기반유지보수체계를 제안하였다. 열차시스템을 3단계의 교체 부품 단위로 분류하고, 각 단위에 대해 기능블록도를 작성한 후 고장모드 영향 분석을 실시하였다. 각 단위의 심각도를 결정한 후 유지보수 정책을 제안하였으며, 틸팅열차를 위한 유지보수 기준을 정하고, 실제 사례를 제시하였다. 제안된 신뢰성기반유지보수체계는 기존 유지보수 체계와도 호환성을 갖고 있으며, 안전성 향상과 유지보수 활동 효율화에 기여할 수 있다.In this paper, a reliability centered maintenance (RCM) system is proposed to perform maintenance action for Korean Tilting Train. The train system was divided into line replaceable units up to three steps. Functional block diagrams were drawn and failure mode effect analysis for the units was carried out. The criticality of each unit was determined and a maintenance policy was proposed. Maintenance and repair criteria for the tilting train were determined and an example was presented. The proposed RCM system is compatible with the previous maintenance system and contributes to improvement of safety and efficiency of maintenance action.

  • In the traditional life testing model, it is assumed that a certain number of identical items are tested under identical condition. This is due to statistical rather than practical considerations. The proportional hazards model can be used to develop a realistic approach to determine the performance of an item. That is also capable of modeling the failure rates of accelerated life testing when the covariates are applied stresses. The proportional hazards model is typically applied for a group of items to assess the importance of factors that may influence the reliability of an item. In this paper we considered the interarrival times of an item rather than the time to first failure for grouped items and provided the availability estimation for the determination of maintenance policy and overhaul time. In order to demonstrate the proposed approach, an example is presented.

  • The maintenance of tunnels is often neglected since tunnels has tendency to become stable with time. The determination of safety of tunnels is a complicated problem. So the role of experienced engineer in the maintenance is very important and development of an expert system which can perform as these engineers has been needed. In this study, an expert system which can determine the safety of tunnels is developed. The developed knowledge base contains the maintenance procedure which is used in KlSTEC(Korea Infrastructure Safety & Technology Corporation). Field test, laboratory test and nondestructive test methods are considered in this knowledge base. Criteria for each item and integrated diagnosis criteria are implemented in the expert system based on literatures and reports. The expert system includes basic inspection. detail inspection and precision inspection. For precision inspection. it has the capacity to exchange the result from numerical analysis by a commercial program FLAC. To verify the expert system. the proposed procedure was compared with an existing tunnel diagnosis report.
