The field-cricket $Turanogryllus$ $eous$ Bey-Bienko, 1956 and its genus $Turanogryllus$ Tarbinsky, 1940 were recorded for the first time from Chungcheongbuk-do province in Korea to carry out the project 'The sound guides to Korean animals.' Depending on the discovery of the cricket, its distributional ranges are more widened towards East Asia to the Korean peninsula from China mainland, the $Turanogryllus$ was 10th to known Gryllinae genera in Korea. Description, photos of habitus, figure of male genitalia, oscillogram and spectrogram for the calling sound are provided for aid identification. Voucher specimens are deposited in the collection of National Institute of Biological Resources, Incheon, Korea.

Measurements of sulfur dioxide, ozone and meteorological parameters at Kosan, Cheju Island show clear indications of the influence of the source areas of both Korean Peninsular and Mainland China. Monthly mean levels in February of $SO_2$ and $O_3$ were 1.4 and 44 ppb, respectively. These Values are 2-30 times higher than those measured in remote are as such as Bermuda Island and Uto Island in Finland. Ozone loss in February and March were found to be 0.2 and 0.36 ppb/hr and correlation coefficient between ozone and solar radiation was 0.48. Also it was found that $SO_2$ levels were more than 2 times higher when the prevailing winds from WSW-NNE than from the rest.

Recent development of Taiwanese IT industry is one of the under-researched areas compared to their rapid development for last few decades. Especially Taiwanese IT industry has position themselves as leading technological power through cooperation with mainland China. For Korean IT industry, in order to compete against Taiwanese IT corporations, more researches need to be done how Taiwanese IT industry has evolved over the years. This research has analysed that Taiwanese IT industry has developed by specializing in OEM/ODM and nurturing small-medium sized corporations. Also the research describes the rold of government nurturing small/meduim sized IT companies and how effectively technologies are transferred to those companies.

Yellow dust problem is one of serious environmental problems in East Asia. The earth's abnormal climate changes and rapid industrializations over the mainland China seem to make the matter worse than ever before. In order to solve the yellow dust problem, collaborative works are necessary not only in the fields of meteorology and engineering, and but also through national consistent policies beyond the nations. In this regards, reporting on current policies of our meteorological administrative on the yellow dust problem can be regarded as valuable services for the engineers working in the fields of energy and environments.

The purpose of the present study was to examine how dimensions of socialization practice and relationship quality may function to manage or increase parent-adolescent conflict. Of particular concern was to examine the comparative efficacy of potential predictors of parent-adolescent conflict across three cultural groups consisting of samples from Mainland China, Russia, and the U.S. as well as across gender-of-parent/gender-of-adolescent dyads from each culture. Findings from a sample of 1,365 adolescents indicated that adolescents' perceptions of parental influences on parent-adolescent conflict differ across cultural groups and gender-of-adolescent. The use of punitive behavior by parents was the strongest and most consistent predictor of parent-adolescent conflict across all cultural groups and gender dyads, suggesting that a general pattern exists for punitiveness to increase parent-adolescent conflict cross-culturally. Perceptions of support, monitoring, conformity to parents, and autonomy from parents influenced parent-adolescent conflict within some of the cultures and selectively for adolescent boys and girls.

Both Cobitis lutheri Rendahl and C.striata Ikeda previously regarded as the subspecies of C.taenia are revised here and raised to the species rank based on the distinct color pattern on their body sides in relation to the shpae of lamina circularis and suborbital spine, and distinct distributional patter. C. lutheri was similar to C. striata in chromosome number and karyotype, but chromosomal polymorphism as Robert sonian event was confirmed only in the population of C.lutheri studies. Both, C. kutheri and C..striata have disjunct ranges : the former in western Korea and east-northern China Mainland, the latter in the Smjin River of korea and west-southern Japan. hybridization between C. lutheri and C. striata by secondary contact appeared in the limited zone of the Dongjin River, Chllabuk-do province, korea, but the evidence for habitat segregation between them suggests the possibility that natural hybridization occurs between the two species and introgression results. We consider that the two species were produced as ecological equivalent species in the different branch stream of the Paleo-Hwangho River , The time of recession of sea level during the gracial period.

The students' beliefs about mathematics teaching-learning come from the social activities in mathematics classrooms; and the mathematics classroom culture to a large extent decides the social activities in mathematics classrooms. So, the students' beliefs about mathematics teaching-learning are decided indirectly by the mathematics classroom culture mainly. The students' beliefs about mathematics teaching-learning react to the social activities in mathematics classrooms, and the social activities in mathematics classrooms react to the mathematics classroom culture. Therefore, the students' beliefs about mathematics teaching-learning react indirectly to the mathematics classroom culture. So, the relationships between the students' beliefs about mathematics teaching-learning and the mathematics classroom culture are dialectic, and the social activities in mathematics classrooms are the medium. In addition, the relationships have some inspirations to the current mathematics curriculum reform in the mainland China.

Sciaphila secundiflora occurs on Jeju Island as a second species of the genus Sciaphila in Korea. This is an important finding in relation to the flora of Korea, as species of the genus Sciaphila are concentrated mainly in Indonesia and Malaysia. Few species are found on the mainland of Asia, in Japan, Taiwan, China (Hainan), tropical Africa, Australia, and on the Pacific islands. In this paper, the species S. secundiflora is described and illustrated as a new record from Korea. In addition, we suggest that the species of the genus Sciaphila should be protected with regard to its habitat characteristics and for its phytogeographic and climatic significance.

The region between mainland China on the east and the Indian sub-continent on the west is referred to as Southeast Asia since the conclusion of the Pacific War (1941-1945). As a region, Southeast Asia appears as a hodgepodge of disparity and diversity, but a closer scrutiny reveals numerous common attributes and characteristics. This study attempts to identify and examine the cohesive and shared characteristics across the Southeast Asian region from a historical and sociocultural perspective. The intention is to differentiate an identity borne of the underlying commonalities of shared characteristics whether physical, experiential, emotive, and/or in terms of heritage. Subsequently, Southeast Asia has more grounds to claim itself as a distinct region, and an "area of study," besides the political expediency of ASEAN.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pneumonia is a recent outbreak in mainland China and has rapidly spread to multiple countries worldwide. Pulmonary parenchymal opacities are often observed during chest radiography. Currently, few cases have reported the complications of severe COVID-19 pneumonia. We report a case where serial follow-up chest computed tomography revealed progression of pulmonary lesions into confluent bilateral consolidation with lower lung predominance, thereby confirming COVID-19 pneumonia. Furthermore, complications such as mediastinal emphysema, giant bulla, and pneumothorax were also observed during the course of the disease.
