확률적인 중방향 설계시간 교통량 산정 모형에 관한 이론적 해석 (A Theoretical Analysis of Probabilistic DDHV Estimation Models)

  • 본 연구는 전통적인 중방향 설계시간교통량 산정에 대한 개념적 내용을 살펴보고 사례연구를 통해 문제점을 도출하였으며, 이를 개선하기 위해 확률적인 중방향 설계시간교통량 산정 모형을 이론적으로 정립하였다. 도로구간의 교통혼잡을 표현하기 위해서 도로용량이 희망하는 서비스수준을 수용할 수 있도록 확률 분포를 적용한 링크통행시간과 임계치를 정립하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 확률적인 중방향 설계시간 교통량 모형은 설계속도, 구간길이, 교통량, 차로수, 중차량계수 등을 고려하여 산정하며, 도로용량에 따른 교통혼잡과 경제성 측면을 유동적으로 고려할 수 있기 때문에 도로계획 및 설계단계에 객관적으로 반영할 수 있다. 또한, 이러한 결과는 다양한 유형의 도로에 대해 결측치가 존재하는 상시조사지점이나 수시조사지점의 중방향 설계시간 교통량 예측 모형을 포함한 여러 현실문제들의 더 나은 이해를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Energy dissipation system for earthquake protection of cable-stayed bridge towers

  • For economical earthquake resistant design of cable-stayed bridge tower, the use of energy dissipation systems for the earthquake protection of steel structures represents an alternative seismic design method where the tower structure could be constructed to dissipate a large amount of earthquake input energy through inelastic deformations in certain positions, which could be easily retrofitted after damage. The design of energy dissipation systems for bridges could be achieved as the result of two conflicting requirements: no damage under serviceability limit state load condition and maximum dissipation under ultimate limit state load condition. A new concept for cable-stayed bridge tower seismic design that incorporates sacrificial link scheme of low yield point steel horizontal beam is introduced to enable the tower frame structure to remain elastic under large seismic excitation. A nonlinear dynamic analysis for the tower model with the proposed energy dissipation systems is carried out and compared to the response obtained for the tower with its original configuration. The improvement in seismic performance of the tower with supplemental passive energy dissipation system has been measured in terms of the reduction achieved in different response quantities. Obtained results show that the proposed energy dissipation system of low yield point steel seismic link could strongly enhance the seismic performance of the tower structure where the tower and the overall bridge demands are significantly reduced. Low yield point steel seismic link effectively reduces the damage of main structural members under earthquake loading as seismic link yield level decreases due their exceptional behavior as well as its ability to undergo early plastic deformations achieving the concentration of inelastic deformation at tower horizontal beam.

ZAM 모형을 이용한 청주시 간선가로 구간의 사고모형 개발 (Developing the Accident Models of Cheongju Arterial Link Sections Using ZAM Model)

  • 본 연구는 청주시의 가로구간 교통사고를 다루고 있다. 연구의 목적은 가로구간의 사고모형을 개발하는 데 있다. 이를 위해서 이 연구에서는 전체 322개 세부구간으로 분리된 간선도로의 사고 자료를 이용하여 ZAM 모형을 개발하는데 중점을 두고 있다. ZAM 모형의 일종인 ZIP(zero inflated Poisson model)과 ZINB(zero inflated negative binomial model)를 중심으로 분석한 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모형의 적합성을 결정하는 Vuong 통계 값과 과분산계수 ${\alpha}$의 t 통계 값을 바탕으로 개발된 다양한 모형을 평가한 결과, 포아송, 음이항, ZIP 및 ZINB 회귀모형 중 ZINB 모형이 최적인 것으로 나타난다. 둘째, ZINB 모형은 t, ${\rho}$${\rho}^2$값 (0.63)의 관점에서 보면, 다른 모형에 비해서 통계적으로 매우 의미 있는 모형으로 평가된다. 마지막으로, 개발된 ZINB 모형의 사고 요인은 교통량, 진출입구 수 그리고 중앙분리대 길이로 분석된다. 교통량과 진출입구 수는 사고발생에 '+'요인, 그리고 중앙분리대 길이는 '-'요인으로 평가된다.

Kineto-Elasto Static and Dynamic Responses of a Fully Elastic Linked, Four-bar Mechanism

  • Mechanisms with fully elastic members must consider both inertial forces due to the rigid motion of mechanisms and due to the elastic vibration of links. The main objectives of the kineto-elasto static and dynamic analyses are to calculate the quasi-static and the time-domain responses, respectively. An iterative transfer matrix method is used for a four-bar, fully elastic linked mechanism. Houbolt direct integration scheme is incorporated for the inertial effects due to the elastic link vibration. The analytical results are compared with the experimental responses and both responses show in good agreement.

  • The residual strength of a specimen with MSD was investigated experimentally and numerically. The used materials for specimens are 2024-T3 and S50C. In each specimen, one main crack and 4 small cracks are machined by using electrical discharge wire cutting and saw cutting. The residual strengths are measured for 3 cases of crack configurations, and the measured values are compared with the values obtained numerically by using elasto-plastic average uncracked ligament stress link-up criteria.

  • Usually, the failure of quasi-brittle materials is numerically difficult to describe because of the localization process with softening behavior. In this study, ADLE(Axial Deformation Link Elements) with stochastic material properties are developed to simulate the quasi-brittle material failure behavior. The ADLE method is adopted both Fictitious Crack Model and stochastic method to implement the fracture behavior with the localization behavior of quasi-brittle materials. The main objective of this paper is to show the mash independency and the capability of ADLE for the failure behavior of a quasi-brittle materials.

Operation Analysis of a Communication-Based DC Micro-Grid Using a Hardware Simulator

  • This paper describes the operation analysis results of a communication-based DC micro-grid using a hardware simulator developed in the lab. The developed hardware simulator is composed of distributed generation devices such as wind power, photovoltaic power and fuel cells, and energy storage devices such as super-capacitors and batteries. Whole system monitoring and control was implemented using a personal computer. The power management scheme was implemented in a main controller based on a TMS320F28335 chip. The main controller is connected with the local controller in each of the distributed generator and energy storage devices through the communication link based on a CAN or an IEC61850. The operation analysis results using the developed hardware simulator confirm the ability of the DC micro-grid to supply the electric power to end users.

  • In 2007, Seoul Metropolitan Government introduced new public rental housing policy called SHift that works as rental deposit base. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the residential satisfaction of SHift. This research has shown conclusively that there is a link between the Location of apartment, Internal Premises, External Premises and satisfaction of SHift residents. The main factors of Residential satisfaction of SHift residents are Location of economical factor. The factor analysis of the 12 factors of variable are confirmed by the internal consistency reliability. This analysis is evaluate on discrimination of the correlation between the dwelling circumstance and the residential satisfaction. The economical factor was the main factor among the Independent variables. It can be concluded that the general overview of the Residential Satisfaction of SHift residents satisfaction is "quite good". But there are maby problems on SHift.

  • Cheju-Haenam HVDC transmission system start it's commercial operation since 1998. JEJU island is supplied with it's about 45% of total electric power from main land with HVDC link. In JEJU island, the demand of electric power is growing every year. With a current power supply, electric power reserve rate will be below the recommended one. For a stable power supply to JEJU island, KEPCO start a construction of #2 HVDC transmission system. This report is for introduction and understanding of #2 HVDC system which will be installed between JEJU island and main land. This report includes a specification of converter station and DC cable. KEPCO expect that this system will solve the power supply problem and maximum wind power plant capacity problem as well.

  • A Single-phase bi-directional inverter Using a diode bridge-type resonant circuit to implement ZVT(Zero Voltage Transition) switching is Presented. It is shown that the ZACE(Zero Average Current Error) algorithm based polarized ramptime current control can provide a suitable interface between diode bridge-type resonant circuit DC link and the inverter. The current control algorithm is analyzed about how to design the circuit with analyzed switch which m ZVT operation for the main power switch The simulation and experimental results would be shown to verify the proposed current algorithm, because the main power switch is turn on with ZVT and the bi-directional inverter is operated.
