  • Induction Motor fed by PWM inverter generates the sound and the vibration because of harmonic current and magnetic force characteristics. This paper is investigated the harmonic frequency and noise characteristics of the current and the torque of the induction motor when the input voltage is excited as the sine wave or PWM wave. The performance characteristics of induction motor is analyzed by the F.E.M and the theoretical method.

  • The measurements were performed to verify experimentally that the voltage arising on a telecommunication line by a power line is due to the induction phenomena because there has been an opinion that the arising voltage on a telecommunication line is not by induction, but by other causality. The voltage appeared on the telecommunication line by way of an electric field or magnetic field generated by the source apparatus that had been artificially made to provide intentional constant high-voltage or current in ELF, that is, 60 Hz as an emulated commercial power.

  • This paper describes the effects of rotor-bar broken in induction machines. The analysis has been made on 7.5kW, 4P, 1,768[rpm], three-phase induction motors in a healthy and broken-rotor bars fault conditions at rated loading conditions. The effects of the rotor-bar broken, magnetic force are investigated by finite element method (FEM) and experiment. The results can be useful for real-time on-line monitoring of an induction motor.

  • This paper analyzed longitudinal end effect occurred in linear induction motor by using I-d direct solution and its result is verified by 2-d Finite Element Method(FEM). Longitudinal end effect of linear induction motor caused by magnetic discontinuity in primary core and electric discontinuity in armature winding has been investigated by many researchers. In this paper, 1-d direct solution and boundary conditions proposed by Yamamura and Nasar is used to analyze end effect of linear induction motor and its solution is verified by 2-d FEM.

  • In this paper voltage distribution in stator windings of induction motor driven by IGBT PWM inverter is studied. To analyze the irregular voltage of stator winding, equivalent circuit model of inverter-cable-motor was proposed and high frequency parameter is computed by using finite element method (FEM). Electro-magnetic transient program (EMTP) analysis of the whole system for induction motor and PWM inverter is proposed. Induction motor, 50[HP], and a switching surge generator was built to consider the voltage distribution. The results of EMTP analysis compared with experimental results.

  • In this paper, induced voltages of the secondary conductors of a linear induction motor(LIM) with cage-type secondary are measured and analyzed when the LIM is fed by PWM inverter. The attenuation constant of the induced voltage of the secondary conductors near entry and exit zones of the the travelling magnetic field are determined from the experiment results.

  • We investigate the solid phase crystallization of amorphous Si films on glass substrates under alternating magnetic field induction. The kinetics of crystallization are found to be greatly enhanced by alternating magnetic field. While complete crystallization takes heat treatment of more than 14 hours at 570$^{\circ}C$, it can be reduced by applying the megnetic field to 20 minutes. It is assumed that the enhancement of crystallization is associated with an electromotive force voltage generated by alternating magnetic field. This electric field applied in the amorphous Si may possibly be the reason for acceleration of the atomic mobility of crystallization through the modification of atomic potentials

  • Magnetic coupling delivering wireless power in capsular endoscope(CE) is described in this paper. The characteristic of the magnetic flux linkage coil which generates the induced electromotive force(emf) under the magnetic field was analyzed. With the analyzed results, a magnetic flux linkage coil system was developed and tested. It was confirmed that the magnetic flux linkage coil system could supply more than 50 mW power at 125 kHz without changing the structure of conventional CE.
