유한요소법에 의한 전기기계의 자속분포해석을 위한 MACRO 공선요소 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of Macro Air-gap Element for Magnetic Flux Distribution Analysis of Electric Machinery by F.E.M.)

  • It is necessary to consider a rotor movement in dynamic analysis on the flux distribution of electric machinery by FEM. Therefore, if air-gap domain was subdivided into triangular elements, computation results contain errors due to variation of element shape in air-gap because the nodal points corresponding to the rotor are displaced in analyzing domain for the time difference. In order to reduce this errors, the paper presents a application of a Macro Air-gap Element that interpolation function is obtained analytically and a means to join it with linear triangular elements in the rotating machine or in the linear machine. At the end of paper, setting up analytic domain model, it compares analytic solution with the computation results of Macro Air-gap Element appliction and that of linear triangular element subdivision only to each cases of nodal displacement. And it carries out that errors due to variation of element shape are reduced effectively by application of a Macro air-gap element.

  • BY the Transformers and reactors, the input electrical energy is converted into magnetic energy. At the end through the magnetic energy was passed at the output parameter. Specially At the flyback transformer or a reactor airgap were designed to contain more magnetic energy. But that work is very difficult for the optimal design. It is that Contradictions are between the length of the Air-gap, Winding inductance, DC bias. As to e Several conflicting conditions in order to determine the optimum Air-gap has a lot of experience and trial & error is necessary. The approach proposed in this paper, the auxiliary winding on the core attached to part of primary core, that by applying a DC voltage has a dramatic effect like Core with designed Air-gap. This inventiveness and advantage is to regulate arbitrarily the Saturation Flux Quantity by the input signal to secondary winding. Accordingly obtained the biggest effect is that increasing limits of the saturation current destined by the material and shape of the conventional core. In other words, that can decreas the size of the transformer and reactor, While maintaining the current saturation capacity.   • The purpose of this paper is to provide the unbalanced magnetic force and vibration mode comparison between two large interior permanent magnet machines(IPM) with different pole-slot combination considering stator and rotor eccentricity. Due to the punching tolerance, the mixed eccentricity of air-gap is inevitable. It will generate the asymmetric magnetic flux density in air-gap, which makes the unbalanced magnetic pull and vibration. The study is focused on the unbalanced magnetic force and their harmonic components according to eccentricity conditions such as static, dynamic and mixed. When the high vibration is produced especially resonance, the obtained results provide clues what eccentricity condition occurs in the machine.

  • When a squirrel cage induction motor is loaded, the magnetic noise can increase depending on the load current. It is due to the variation of air gap harmonic fluxes from the rotor current induced by loading. This unfavorable noise can be anticipated by analysing the radial force waves in the air gap, the mode shapes of them, and stator core natural frequencies at each mode. With the experimental tests with the different rotor slot numbers, the variation of magnetic noise depending on the load current is studied and the method to reduce the magnetic noise is suggested with the newly developed magnetic noise analysis program.

  • This paper deals with magnetic field and characteristic analysis for ring type slotless synchronous motors by using analytical method. Since magnetic air-gap in the slotless motors is much larger than mechanical air-gap, it is necessary to analyze the magnetic flux distribution at the whole magnetic airgap region. therefore, this paper analyzes the duplicated magnetic field derived by both Permanent Magnet(PM) and armature current and estimates the back electromotive force and torque characteristic by subdividing the conductor region. The analysis results are verified by comparing with Finite Element Analysis(FEA) results.

  • This paper represents solenoid design of control valve for incline angle control in variable compressor. Some theoretical and numerical analysis were performed to analyse solenoid and compared with experimental results. Maxwell program was used for numerical analysis. Through redesigns of housing body, plunger, core, and disk in control valve, the needed force was gotten. Reduction of core groove and housing body air-gap had a large influence on magnetic force. But increasing of disk thickness had little effect on magnetic force. Control valve efficiency could be improved through solenoid redesign.

Analytical Calculation of Air Gap Magnetic Field Distribution in Magnetic Geared Motors

  • Magnetic geared motors are driven using the same operating principle as conventional synchronous motors in which a magnetic gear is embedded. The magnetic geared motor is structurally similar to a magnetic gear. However, by applying currents to the stator coil, the high-speed rotor is rotated by a magnetic field and the low-speed rotor is rotated according to the gear ratio. In this paper, the operational principle of a magnetic geared motor and the magnetic flux density in its inner and outer air gaps are described. Then the magnetic flux density in the two air gaps is used to express a method for calculating the electrical and mechanical output. Results obtained with the analytical calculation method are compared with those of the finite element analysis. Finally, a prototype is used to verify the results of the analytical calculation and FEA.

  • This paper presents the calculation of unbalanced magnetic pull (UMP) that causes rotor misalignment in induction motor. The excessive noise and vibration will be occurred by means of rotor misalignment. Angular misalignment of rotor will produce air-gap permeance wave which is function of axial and circumferential coordinate. In this paper, the UMP is calculated using permeance and magneto motive force (MMF) in the case of static and dynamic misalignment. Based on the percentage of misalignment, the result shows that the UMP and magnetic pressure are increased according to the increasing of misalignment. The UMP is occurred not only in It frequency component but also the others.

  • This paper proposes a coordinated control for an independent multi-phase transverse flux linear synchronous motor (IM-TFLSM) based on magnetic levitation. The stator structures of the IM-TFLSM are composed of a two set, which has independent three-phase windings and a double-sided air-gap as opposed to the conventional Y-connected three-phase linear motors. A suitable control algorithm is necessary to operate the applied linear machine. This study proposes a coordinated control algorithm for adjusting the mover air-gap and thrust force of the IM-TFLSM in order to maintain air-gap and phase shifted current control of the independent 3-phase modules. In addition, the principle of operation and its special structures are described in detail and the validity and effectiveness of the control algorithm is verified through multiple experimental results.

  • In this paper, the general research on the analysis of the vibration due to magnetic exciting force in the small brushless DC(BLDC) motor, which is used in the Digital Versatile Disk(DVD) ROM driving system, is performed. The first part of the study is the analysis of the magnetic exciting force in the air gap region. As a verification of the exciting force by numerical analysis, the magnetic exciting force distribution in the air gap region is computed by using Reluctance Network Method(RNM). In addition, the effect of the eccentricity on the magnetic exciting force is discussed. The other part of the research is the structural analysis of the rotor structure of the BLDC motor. The matural mode analysis of the rotor structure is performed, and the vibration response due to magnetic exciting force is found. As a result of the procedures, the basic estimation of the effect of the magnetic exciting force on the vibration of BLDC motor is suggested.
