In order to fabricate magnetoresistive sensor, Fe-Ni and Co-Ni alleys were evaporated on the slide glass and the silicon wafers. Saturation magnetic induction($B_{s}$), coercive field strength($H_{c}$) and magnetoresistance were measured for fabricated samples. The evaporated Fe-Ni thin films show that the saturation magnetic induction was 0.65 T, and coercive field strength was 0.379 A/cm, and this value was changed to 0.370 A/cm(//), 0.390 A/cm(${\bot}$), respectively after magnetic annealing. For the measurement of coercive field strength, magnetizing frequency of 1 kHz was used. For the fabricated sensor element, the change of magnetoresistance (${\Delta}R/R$) was excessively unstable due to oxidation in the process of fabrication. The evaporated Co-Ni alloy thin films show that saturation magnetic induction was 0.66 T, and coercive field strengthes were 5.895 A/cm(//), 5.898 A/cm(${\bot}$), respectively, after magnetic annelaing. The change of magnetoresistance(${\Delta}R/R$) was $3.6{\sim}3.7%$ of which value was excessively stable to room temperature. Fe-Ni thin film could have many problems due to large affinity in the process of fabrication of magnetoresistance sensor, but Co-Ni thin film could be a suitable material for fabrication of magnetoresistance sensor, because of its small affinity and definite magnetoresistance effects.
The torque of SRM is developed by phase currents and inductance variation. Phase currents and inductance variation. Phase current is often the controlled variable in electrical motor drives, so it seems natural to use closed loop current controllers. However, the highly nonlinear nature of switched reluctance motors makes optimisation of closed loop current controlled difficult because of saturation effect in magnetic circuit. Therefore, torque generation region is nonlinearly varied according to phase current and rotor position. This paper describes the torque control scheme with neural network that can control varied with load torque. The torque control is simulated by PSIM.
This paper describes an exciting current calculation method for transformers by finite element method. In case of a special case such as air-gap presence, one can not calculate exciting current accurately using exciting power curves due to flinging effect, magnetic saturation and so on. Transient analysis with external circuit is performed with a 2D model and compared to a test result.

The change of saturation magnetization in boronized low carbon microalloyed steels was investigated as a function of boronizing time. Specimens were boronized in an electrical resistance furnace for times ranging from 3 to 9 h at 1123 K. The metallurgical and magnetic properties of the specimens were investigated using optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). A boride layer with saw-tooth morphology consisting of FeB and $Fe_2B$ was observed on the surface, its thickness ranged from 63 ${\mu}m$ to 140 ${\mu}m$ depending on the boronizing time. XRD confirmed the presence of $Fe_2B$ and FeB on the surface. The saturation magnetization decreased with increasing boronizing time. This decrease was attributed to the increased thickness of the FeB and $Fe_2B$ phases. Cracks were observed at the FeB/$Fe_2B$ interfaces of the samples. The number of interfacial cracks increased with increasing boronizing time.

As a result of the recent miniaturization and enhancement in the performance of thin film inductors and thin film transformers, there are increased demands for the thin films with a high magnetic permeability in the high frequency range, a high saturation magnetization, a high electrical resistivity, and a low coercive force. In order to improve high frequency properties, we will investigate anisotropy field by shape and size of pattern. The Fe-Al-O thin films of 16mm diameter and 1$\mu\textrm{m}$ thickness were deposited on Si wafer, using RE magnetron reactive sputtering technique with the mixture of argon and oxygen gases. The fabricating conditions are obtained in the working partial pressure of 2m Torr, O$_2$ partial Pressure of 5%, Input power of 400w, and Al pellets on an Fe disk with purity of 99.9%. For continuous thin film is the 4Ms of 19.4kG, H$\sub$c/ of 0.6Oe, H$\sub$k/ of 6.0Oe and effective permeability of 2500 up to 100MHz. In this work, we expect to enhanced effect of magnetic anisotropy on patterned of Fe-Al-O thin films.
After Ba-ferrite powders synthesized hydrothermally and its heated powders were dissolved partially with HCl treatment time, the BaO/Fe2O3 mole ratio of dissolved solutions and powders were measured by AAS, also, lattice constants, particle morphology and magnetic properties in HCl treated, heated and no-heated Ba-ferrite powders were abtained by means of XRD, SEM and VSM, respectively. From above analysis results, the effect of Ba/Fe mole ration in suspension(as starting material) on the BaO/Fe2O3 composition and particle characteristics of products were investigated, and the effect of heat treatment on magnetic properties of products examined. The composition, lattice constant and crystal phase of products depend on the Ba/Fe mole ratio in suspension. Ba content in surface or outer part of Ba-ferrite powder is higher than inner and heterogeneous, and the excess Ba ions in the inner part of particle move into the outer by heating, so that the mole ratio of BaO/Fe2O3 in the more jinner approaches more to the stoichiometric composition 1 : 6. The crystallinity, coercivity and saturation magnetization of products are increased by heat treatment, and the heat-treated samples synthesized hydrothermally in lower temperature are appreciated to have better powder characteristics.
The effect of the B additions on glass formation and magnetic properties is reported for the $Fe_{(87-x-y)}Co_yTi_7Zr_6B_x$ (x = 2, 4, 6 and y = 35, 40) alloy system. The ribbon samples with the width of 2 mm for each composition were prepared by the melt spinning technique; furthermore, their phase information was obtained from X-ray diffraction. Glass formation and magnetic properties were measured using differential scanning calorimetry and vibrating sample magnetometer respectively. The $Fe_{45}Co_{40}Ti_7Zr_6B_2$ (x = 2 and y = 40) system has the nanocrystalline phase identified as ${\alpha}-Fe$, as well as the amorphous phase, whereas all other alloys are fully amorphous. It is associated with the role of B on the glass formation. The widest supercooled liquid region is obtained as 71 K at x = 4 (both y = 35 and 40). The saturation magnetization decreases with the increase of the amount of the B addition, and the highest value is 1.59 T as x = 2 and y = 35 for this alloy system.

Co-Fe-Ni-B-Si-Cr based amorphous strips containing nitrogen were manufactured via melt spinning, and then devitrified by crystallization treatment at the various annealing temperatures of $300^{\circ}C{\sim}540^{\circ}C$ for up to 30 minutes in an inert gas $(N_2)$ atmosphere. The microstructures were examined by using XRD and TEM and the magnetic properties were measured by using VSM and B-H meter. Among the alloys, the amorphous ribbons of $Co_{72.6}Fe_{9.8}Ni_{5.5}B_{2.4}Si_{7.1}Cr_{2.6}$ containing 121 ppm of nitrogen showed relatively high saturation magnetization. The alloy ribbons crystallized at $540^{\circ}C$ showed that the grain size of $Co_{72.6}Fe_{9.8}Ni_{5.5}B_{2.4}Si_{7.1}Cr_{2.6}$ alloy containing 121 ppm of nitrogen was about f nm, which exhibited paramagnetic behavior. The formation of nano-grain structure was attributed to the finely dispersed Fe4N particles and the solid-solutionized nitrogen atoms in the matrix. Accordingly, it can be concluded that the nano-grain structure of 5nm in size could reduce the core loss within the normally applied magnetic field of 300A/m at 10kHz.

Spin dynamics has been investigated intensively in various kinds of fields. Most popular one is an initial permeability at high frequency. Also, magnetic after-effect such as thermal fluctuation of fine magnetic particles and disaccommodation in soft magnetic materials were extensively studied in the past. When we apply an external farce with the same frequency as that of the system being examined, the system absorbs the external energy and the precession enhances. It is called resonance in general. Among the various resonances, ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) has been used as a good tool to evaluate material constants such as saturation manetization or spin damping parameter by analyzing a resonance curve. In this talk first instinctive understanding of Gilbert spin damping and spin pumping will be explained. Then, experimental data for enhancement of Gilbert damping parameter (G) evaluated from FMR spectrum and spin precession measured by a time resolved pump-probe method for Permalloy thin film will be introduced. Finally, magnetization reversal observed by air-coplanar probe will be given.
The formation process of polycrystalline YIG(Y3Fe5O12) prepared by conventional method in Fe2O3-Y2O3 system was investigated. Effect of the microstructure of sintered body on electromagnetic properties was also investigated. Orthoferrite (YFeO3) was formed between 900 and 110$0^{\circ}C$. Formation of YIG phase begin at 110$0^{\circ}C$ with sharp increased saturation magnetization simultaneously. YIG phase is identified as single phase above 120$0^{\circ}C$. The microstructures and electromagnetic properties of sintered bodies are varied due to calcination condition of starting materials. The sintered YIG of calcined sample at 110$0^{\circ}C$ has such magnetic properties as Bs=1580G, BHC=1.89Oe, Tc=570K, ΔH(9.3GHz)=78Oe.
