뇌방전에 의해 발생된 전장 및 자장의 특성 (Features of the electric and magnetic fields produced by lightning discharges)

  • This paper describes the features of electric and magnetic fields produced by lightning discharges. The measuring system consists of fast electric field sensor, crossed-loop magnetic field sensors, signal processing circuit, A/D converter and data acquisition equipment with a 12bit resolution and 10[MS/s] sampling rate. The frequency bandwidth and responsitivity of the electric field measuring system were 40[Hz]${\sim}$2.6 [MHz] and 2.08 (V/m/mV) and those of the magnetic field measuring system were 400[Hz]${\sim}$1[MHz] and 2.78[nT/mV], respectively. The electric and magnetic fields produced by lightning discharges were observed, and the features and parameters of the waveforms were analyzed.

휘스톤브리지형 MR 센서제작 및 특성 (Wheastone-bridge type MR sensors of Si(001)/NiO($300{\AA}$)/NiFe bilayer system)

  • There is great interest in developing magnetoresistance(MR) sensor, using ferromagnetic, electrically non-magnetic conducting and antiferromagnetic films, especially for the use in weak magnetic fields. Here, we report single and Wheatstone-bridge type of MR sensors made in Si(001)/NiO($300{\AA}$)/NiFe bilayers. Angular dependence of MR profiles was measured in Si(001)/NiO($300{\AA}$)/NiFe($450{\AA})$ films as a function of an angle between current and applied field direction, also, linearity was determined. AMR characteristics of single MR sensors was well explained with single domain model. Good linearity in $45^{\circ}$ Wheatstone-bridge type of MR sensors consisting of 4 single MR sensors made in Si(001)/NiO($300{\AA}$)/NiFe($450{\AA})$ was shown in the range of about ${\leq}{\pm}5$ Oe.

THIN FILM SENSORS FOR AUTOMOBILE

  • A great amount of effort has been devoted to the constant improvement of such basic performance as dirvability, safety and enviromental protection. As a result, the total combination of various technologies has made it possible to produce safer and more comfortable automobiles. Among these technologies, plasma and thin film techniques are mainly cocerned with sensors, optics, electronics and surface modification. This paper first describes a concept of thin film processing in materials synthesis for sensors based on particle-surface interaction during deposition to provide a long life sensor applicable to sutomobiles. Some examples of parctical application of thin films to sensors are then given. These include(1) a thin films strain gauge for gravity sensors, (2) a giant magneto resistance film for speen sensors, and (3) a Magneto-impedance sensors fordetection of low magnetic field. Further progress of sophisticated thin film technology must be considered in detail to explore advanced thin film materials science and to ensure the field reliability of future sensor devices for automobile.

Co계 아몰퍼스리본을 이용한 자계센서 (Magnetic Field Sensors using Co-base Amorphous Ribbon)

  • 고감도의 자기임피던스센서를 구현하기 위해서 아몰퍼스리본을 리소그래피와 습식에칭을 통하여 미안더패턴으로 미소가공하고 임피던스의 외부자계의존성을 조사하였다. 센서의 임피던스는 외부자계 약 13 Oe 부근에서 가장 큰 값을 나타내었고, 약 170%의 변화율을 나타내었다. 선형성과 감도가 확보될 수 있는 외부자계영역(6 Oe부근)에서의 임피던스의 변화를 평가해 보면 약 36%의 단위자계당 임피던스 변화율을 확보할 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 제작한 센서패턴과 센서를 구동하기 위해서 제작된 구동회로를 이용하여 약 $10^{-3}$ Oe의 미약자계를 측정할 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Hall probe를 이용한 비접촉 임계전류 측정 (Non-contact critical current measurement using hall probe)

  • Non-contact critical current measurement apparatus was developed using hall probe which measures the magnetic field distribution across the width of superconducting tape. The hall probe consists of 7 independent hall sensors which lie in a line 600 ${\mu}m$. The difference between maximum and minimum magnetic field in the magnetic filed distribution is a main parameter to determine the critical current. As preliminary research, we calculated the magnetic field intensity at the middle sensor, which is a minimum magnetic field and generated by the circular shielding current modeled by Bean model. We confirmed that there are some parameters that affect on the minimum magnetic field; the distance between superconducting layer and hall sensor, the width of superconducting tape, and the critical current distribution across the width of superconducting tape. Among these parameters, the distance between superconducting layer and hall sensor highly influences on the minimum magnetic field.

손목운동 측정을 위한 자기장 센서 데이터의 분석 및 처리 방법 (Data Analysis and Processing Methods of Magnetic Sensor for Measuring Wrist Gesture)

  • 다양한 산업분야에서 자기장 센서 기술들을 응용한 제품들이 상용화되면서, 자기장 센서 데이터의 분석 및 처리방법이 중요하게 되었다. 자기장 센서는 사용하기에는 간편하고 설치에 용이하지만, 자석에 의해 생성되는 복잡한 자기력선 때문에 데이터 처리가 복잡하고, 특히 움직이는 대상에 대해서는 데이터 분석이 거의 불가능할 정도로 복잡하다. 기존의 자기장을 응용한 장비들은 자석이 움직이지 못하게 고정을 하거나, 고가의 장비들을 구입하여 데이터를 처리하는 방식을 사용하고 있다. 따라서, 자기장 센서를 사용하는 장비는 정확한 데이터를 수집하기 위해 수많은 연구가 필요하고, 고가의 장비들이 요구하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 이런 문제점들을 해결하기 위해서, 소형의 영구 자석과 GMR 센서를 사용하여 손목 재활훈련이나 운동량을 측정하기 위해서 데이터를 처리하는 방법에 대해서 논의를 한다. 특히, 손목 재활훈련에서 발생되는 자기장 센서의 비선형적인 데이터 분석을 하고, 이런 분석을 통해서 데이터를 처리함에 있어서 고가의 장비를 사용하지 않고도 최대의 효과를 낼 수 있는 지능형 알고리즘과 같은 퍼지논리 방법을 제시하고 다른 알고리즘들과 비교하였다.

특이치 분해 방법에 의한 함정 자기원 다이폴 모델링 방안 연구 (A Study on Dipole Modeling Method for Ship's Magnetic Anomaly using Singular Value Decomposition Technique)

  • 본 논문에서는 모델 함정에 의해 발생하는 정 자기장 신호 특성을 수학적으로 모델링하는 방법에 대해 기술하고 있다. 특정 위치에 설치된 자기센서들에 의해 계측된 자기장 신호 값들로 부터 특이치 분해(singular value decomposition) 방법을 이용한 등가 자기원 다이폴 모델링 기법을 제안하였으며, 제안된 기법의 타당성은 비자성 자기실험실에서 측정된 자기장 값들과의 비교를 통해 성공적으로 검증되었다. 본 논문에서 제안된 기법은 모델 함정 뿐 만 아니라 실 함정에서의 다양한 심도 변화에 따른 정 자기장 신호 분포 특성 예측 시 직접 활용이 가능하다.

마그네틱 마커를 이용하는 이동로봇을 위한 위치인식 센서 시스템 (Positioning sensor system for mobile robots using magnetic markers)

  • In recent studies, many methods have been studied for mobile robot using magnetic markers on its pathway. This is not influenced by the weather conditions, and makes possible to develop controller with low level processors and simple algorithms. However, the interval between magnets is restricted by the magnetic field intensity and it is impossible to get road information ahead. This paper suggests a method of widening markers and expressing the road information ahead using magnetic markers, and explains a sensor arrangement considering suggested methods. Also, magnetic field analysis was done to investigate the effects of widening magnetic markers with various environments. A small mobile robot was made to figure out the performance of suggested methods, and driving experiments were performed on the straight and curved road with magnetic markers. The results show that the robot moved the prearranged pathway with 0.5 cm lateral displacements and stopped at a stop line using magnetic information on the road.

자기센서 기반 자율주행차량의 도로방향 인식 (Recognition of Road Direction for Magnetic Sensor Based Autonomous Vehicle)

  • This paper describes a recognition method of a road direction for an autonomous vehicle based on magnetic sensors. Using the sensors mounted on a vehicle and the magnetic markers embedded along the center of road, the autonomous vehicle can recognize a road direction and control a steering angle. Using the front lateral deviation of a vehicle and the rear one, the road direction is calculated. The analysis of magnetic field, the acquisition technique of training data, the training method of neural network and the computer simulation are presented. According to the computer simulation, the proposed method is simulated, and its performance is verified. Also, the experimental test is confirmed its reliability.

Rugate 구조를 갖는 자립형 다공성 실리콘 박막을 이용한 유기 증기, 압력차, 자기장의 동시 감응 특성 (Simultaneous Detection Properties of Organic Vapor, Pressure Difference and Magnetic Field using a Rugate-structured Free-standing Porous Silicon Film)

  • In this study, we investigated the simultaneous detection properties of organic vapor, pressure difference, and magnetic field using a single rugate-structured free-standing porous silicon (RFPS) thin film. Both the wavelength and the intensity of the rugate peaks were changed in the reflectivity spectrum measured at the thin film surface while the organic vapor was exposed to the RFPS thin film. However, when the pressure difference and the magnetic field were exposed to the film, only the rugate peak intensity was changed. Therefore, it is possible to distinguish whether or not the organic vapor is detected by simultaneously changing the rugate peak wavelength and intensity. In addition, a method of distinguishing between the pressure difference and the magnetic field detection signal has been derived by rapidly modulating the direction of the magnetic field. This study shows that it is possible to simultaneously detect and distinguish various objects using a single RFPS thin film, and it is found that porous silicon can be utilized as a sensor sufficiently.
