  • A DSP-based robust nonlinear speed control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) is presented. A quasi-linearized and decoupled model including the influence of parameter variations and speed measurement error on the nonlinear speed control of a PMSM is derived. Based on this model, a boundary layer integral sliding mode controller to improve the robustness and performance of the nonlinear speed control of a PMSM is designed and compared with the conventional controller. To show the validity of the proposed control scheme, simulations and experimental works are carried out and compared with the conventional control scheme.

  • This paper investigates an improved sliding mode observer for the speed sensorless control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The proposed control strategy is the sliding mode observer with a variable boundary layer for a low-chattering and fast-response control. The proposed algorithm is verified through the simulation and experimentation.

  • In a multi-layer interior permanent magnet synchronous motor, the d- and q-axis parameters vary nonlinearly according to different load conditions, consequently changing the level of saturation. The flux-linkage of d- and q-axis conveys ripple characteristics resulting from mechanical structure and degree of magnetic saturation. If the calculated flux-linkage is correct, the torque using the Maxwell stress tensor method is the same torque calculated by the flux-linkage. However, discrepancy between results exists. In this paper, the d- and q-axis flux-linkage, in consideration of the ripple characteristic, is calculated. Simulation results are then compared with experimental results.

  • A DSP-based robust nonlinear speed control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) which is robust to unknown parameter variations and speed measurement error is presented. The model reference adaptive system(MRAS) based adaptation mechanisms for the estimation of slowly varying parameters are derived using the Lyapunov stability theory. For the disturbances or quickly varying parameters. a quasi-linearized and decoupled model including the influence of parameter variations and speed measurement error on the nonlinear speed control of a PMSM is derived.

  • This paper deals with the design of a disk-type motor excited by permanent magnets. The main flux is oriented in the axial direction, yielding a pan cake type arrangement. the outer diameter is about 65mm, inner diameter is about 30mm, the axial length about 15mm. For reduce axial length and high efficiency, motor winding have been etched copper plate. After the introduction, the motor design is explained and characteristic of axial flux permanent magnet motor have been investigated. A prototype AFPM motor have been assembled and driving power supply are made. A characteristic of magnetical and electrical and characteristic are investigated.

  • MR transfer behaviors of the permanent magnet biased spin valve MR sensors with SyAF (synthetic antiferromagnet) layers were studied by micromagnetics modeling. For narrow track MR heads, various height to width ratios were considered together with strength of permanent magnets which stabilities the free layed As the MR sensor width is reduced to $0.12 \mu{m}$, sensor height less than 0.09 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ is needed to show good linearity and the Mr.t of permanent magnets smaller than 0.2 memu/$cm^2$ is sufficient for the domain stabilization. The conditions for single domain behavior of the free layer were also investigated through optimizing the biasing strength of permanent magneto the shield gap and the aspect ratio of MR sensor.

  • Advanced static DC magnetron sputtering methods based on the magnet wobbling technique were investigated to achieve highly uniform and homogeneous metallization layers. The novel split sputter mode (SSM) method, wherein the deposition process is divided into two distinct steps, enables the AKT rotary cathode technology to provide excellent layer properties, while keeping a high production throughput. The effectiveness of theSSMtechnique was demonstrated through copper-coated large-area substrates.
