  • After the Industrialization of 1960s, while it has greatly contributed to the industrial development owing to acceleration of mechanization, but it is real situation that the countermeasure to Noise Damage generating at the loud noise workshop is scarcely made. Especially, the Instrument-Noise made at factory and workplace is so shocking and repeatedly reiterating terrible noise that most of the spot workers are forcedly imposing such dangers as the severe unpleasant feeling and hearing impairments. On such point of view, this Research has attempted to extract the proper Rating Vocabulary in order for valuation on Instrument Noise made at the terrible noise-workplace, therefore it is considering that those extracted Vocabularies could be utilized as the useful materials for appraisal on Instrument Noise, also for establishment of Regulation-Standard with regard to Acoustic Psychology Experimentation and Instrument Noise.

5상 5KW 표면부착형 영구자석 동기발전기(SPMSG) 개발 (A Development of Surface Permanent Mount Synchronous Generator for 5 Phase 5KW)

  • This paper propose a development of surface permanent mount synchronous generator(SPMSG) for 5-phase 5Kw in order to study a polyphase ac machinery that keep hold of advantages more than traditional three-phase squirrel-cage induction motor, such as reducing a amplitude of torque pulsation decreasing electric noises, and increasing the reliability. Design methods of the generator use a development tools with Maxwell 2D and Simplorer. There are designed drawing of manufactured frames of the SPMSG. A amplitude and waveform of the generated electromotive force, FFT analysis of harmonics within output voltages, and reviewing a experiment results are shown by variable output frequency. We are presenting a design and manufacture methods for the SPMSG.

농용 트랙터의 안전캡 내부 소음 감소에 관한 연구(II) -소음 감소 효과- (A Case Study on Inside Noise Reduction of Agricultural Tractor Cab(II) -Noise Reduction-)

  • In the first part of this paper, an analysis of the cab noise of a selected agricultural tractor was presented. In this study, using the results of the previous analysis, two passive noise control measures of the sound insulation and absorption were conducted to reduce the noise level inside the cab. These measures of noise control reduced the total noise level by 6.2㏈(A) at the operator position inside the cab. In order to further reduce the cab noise, particularly, of lower frequencies than 630Hz, stiffness and damping of the floor panel should be enforced. It was also suggested that a proper suspension for the cab mounting is necessary to reduce the level of structure-born noises.

  • During the passage of the train, the railway bridge undergoes vibration and noise. The noise of railway bridge can be occurred from various sources. The wheel-rail contact, noise from machinery parts, structural-borne noise, pantagraph noise and aerodynamic noise of the train work in combination. Running train is one of the most important factors for railway bridge vibration. The repeated forces with equidistant axles cause the magnification of dynamic responses which relates with maintenance of the track structure and structure-borne noises. The noise problem is one of the most important issues in services of light rail transit system which usually passes through towns. In the present study, The vibration and noise of the LRT bridge will be investigated with utilizing dynamics responses from moving train as input data for noise analysis.

Remaining Useful Life Estimation based on Noise Injection and a Kalman Filter Ensemble of modified Bagging Predictors

  • Ensuring reliability of a machinery system involve the prediction of remaining useful life (RUL). In most RUL prediction approaches, noise is always considered for removal. Nevertheless, noise could be properly utilized to enhance the prediction capabilities. In this paper, we proposed a novel RUL prediction approach based on noise injection and a Kalman filter ensemble of modified bagging predictors. Firstly, we proposed a new method to insert Gaussian noises into both observation and feature spaces of an original training dataset, named GN-DAFC. Secondly, we developed a modified bagging method based on Kalman filter averaging, named KBAG. Then, we developed a new ensemble method which is a Kalman filter ensemble of KBAGs, named DKBAG. Finally, we proposed a novel RUL prediction approach GN-DAFC-DKBAG in which the optimal noise-injected training dataset was determined by a GN-DAFC-based searching strategy and then inputted to a DKBAG model. Our approach is validated on the NASA C-MAPSS dataset of aero-engines. Experimental results show that our approach achieves significantly better performance than a traditional Kalman filter ensemble of single learning models (KESLM) and the original DKBAG approaches. We also found that the optimal noise-injected data could improve the prediction performance of both KESLM and DKBAG. We further compare our approach with two advanced ensemble approaches, and the results indicate that the former also has better performance than the latters. Thus, our approach of combining optimal noise injection and DKBAG provides an effective solution for RUL estimation of machinery systems.

농업기계 내비게이션을 위한 INS/GPS 통합 연구 (Study on INS/GPS Sensor Fusion for Agricultural Vehicle Navigation System)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effects of inertial navigation system (INS) / global positioning system (GPS) sensor fusion for agricultural vehicle navigation. An extended Kalman filter algorithm was adopted for INS/GPS sensor fusion in an integrated mode, and the vehicle dynamic model was used instead of the navigation state error model. The INS/GPS system was consisted of a low-cost gyroscope, an odometer and a GPS receiver, and its performance was tested through computer simulations. When measurement noises of GPS receiver were 10, 1.0, 0.5, and 0.2 m ($1{\sigma}$), RMS position and heading errors of INS/GPS system at 5 m/s straight path were remarkably reduced with 10%, 35%, 40%, and 60% of those obtained from the GPS receiver, respectively. The decrease of position and heading errors by using INS/GPS rather than stand-alone GPS can provide more stable steering of agricultural equipments. Therefore, the low-cost INS/GPS system using the extended Kalman filter algorithm may enable the self-autonomous navigation to meet required performance like stable steering or more less position errors even in slow-speed operation.

Micro-computer를 이용(利用)한 Greenhouse의 온도제어(溫度制御) System 개발(開發)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Development of Greenhouse Temperature Control System by Using Micro-computer)

  • This study was carried out for the development of greenhouse temperature control system by modifying an APPLE-II microcomputer attached with several interface systems. The interface systems are composed of 12 bit A/D converter, output port, multiplexer, time clock, etc. Under the operation of developed system, the greenhouse temperature was to be manipulated within the setting temperatures assumed to be appropriate for certain plant growth. The temperature control equimpents installed in the greenhouse are one-speed propeller type fan and two-phase electric heater, which are selectively started or stopped according to the control logic programmed in the control system. The results are summarized as follows : 1. The difference between two temperatures measured by the developed system and the self-recording thermometer calibrated with standard thermometer was less than $1^{\circ}C$. 2. When the temperature were measurd by 12 bit A/D converter and both electric heater and ventilation fan were controlled by developed ON/OFF logic, greenhouse temperature showed narrow fluctuation bands of less than $1^{\circ}C$ near the setting temperatures. 3. The temperature acquisition and control system developed in this study is expected to be applicable to environment control system such as greenhouse only by modifying the logic based on long term experimental data. 4. In order to reduce the measurement error and to increase the system control efficiency, it is recommended that continuous study should be carried out in the aspect of eliminating various systematic noises and improving the environmental control logic.

기계실에서 발생하는 설비소음의 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prediction of Building Equipment Noise Generates at Machine Room)

  • Recently, in accordance with the buildings are becoming to large-sizes, high-stories, the large scaled facilities and equipments in machine room are quite demanding, and the generated noise volume according to this situation is on increasing. Since such noise is becoming to the object of a serious civil appeal, it is the real situation that a reduction countermeasure against the machine room equipment noise is keenly necessitated. On such viewpoint, this study has recorded, measured the noises which were generated from each individual as same as the whole equipped machines and tools, on the object of the dormitory machine rooms of the 3 colleges that haying mutually different peculiarities, then after grasp-ing their characters and acoustic powers, this research has verified its prediction possibility and the authenticity by comparison the estimated numerical value with the actually measured numerical value through the acoustic simulation. After grasping the prediction possibility in such way, by utilization of the sound absorption material in the machinery room, from the stage of design, the soundproof measures for the noise reduction at machine room could be regulated effectively, and it is also considered that such data would be utilized as the fundamental material for an establishment of the measure for sound insulation.

  • The fan is widely used to cool high heat flux generated as of the electronic communication device consoles. It, however, makes a lot of noises that interfere considerably with the operation environment. This study was conducted to obtain the cooling design technology of the consoles through being equipped with the Heat Pipe Heat Exchangers (HPHE) together with low revolution fans in place of existing fans for the cooling technology of the forced convection. Not only the sealed type consoles but the HPHE were also designed so as to cool effectively the heat generated from the inside of the console. The simulation was conducted by computational numerical analysis along with its experiments. The results of the numerical analysis and experiments were compared in order to improve the cooling technology of the consoles mounted with the HPHE. Consequently, instead of loud fan noise generated as of existing forced convection methods, the cooling technology of HPHE can remarkably improve many problems such as the operation environment, indoor dust, malfunction caused by pollution sources and so on.

  • 선박의 수중방사소음을 최소화하기 위해서는 주요 소음원인 탑재장비, 추진계통 및 구조물의 전달과정 등에 의해 발생되는 각각의 소음특성 규명이 이루어져야 한다. 그러나 선박의 운항시 계측된 신호는 다중의 소음원과 많은 전달경로에 의해 신호가 중첩되어 발생되고, 소음원과 전달함수를 계측할 수 없는 경우가 많다. 이 논문에서는 캡스트럼 신호처리를 이용한 계측된 응답신호로부터 각각의 소음원과 전달함수 특성을 분리 추출할 수 있는 시험분석기법을 제시하고, 제시된 기법을 수치계산 및 가진실험에 적용하여 검증하고 실제 선박에 적용하여 유용함을 보인다.
