생산성 증대를 위한 XML 기반 기계부품 생산관리시스템 개발 (The Development of a Machine-Parts Production Management System Based on XML for Productivity Improvement)

  • 본 논문에서는 기계부품 생산라인에 전용으로 적용할 XML 기반 생산관리시스템을 개발하였다. 기계부품 전용 생산관리시스템 개발을 위해 여러 관리모듈들을 개발, 통합하고 아울러 XML 기술에 기반 한 생산관리시스템을 개발하였다. 그리고 클라이언트/서버 데이터베이스 모듈을 구축하여 기계부품 제어를 위한 서브시스템과 서버 데이터베이스와의 통신을 지원하는 GUI 응용 프로그램도 개발하였으며 RPC 에뮬레이터를 이용하여 클라이언트 GUI 모듈에서 서버 모듈을 원격 실행하도록 하였다. 통합제어모듈을 통하여 독립적으로 실행되는 각 모듈들을 통합하여 하나의 큰 유기적 생산관리시스템으로 동작하도록 제어한다. 아울러 POP 시스템을 개발하여 기계부품 가공 기계에 부착된 센서의 시리얼포트를 통하여 실적 데이터를 수집하여 이를 GUI로 나타내고 분석하여 생산계획에 즉시 반영하는 기계부품 실적 정보 시스템을 구축하며 또한 XML 기술을 이용하여 XML 기반 생산관리시스템을 구축하였다.

마이크로 금형 가공 및 사출성형에 관한 연구 (Micro Parts Machining and Injection Molding Technology)

  • As a fundamental study on developing elements with micro shape, micro mold parts machining and experiment of injection molding using it were performed. The ultra precision micro machining system with high functionality was fabricated, and utilized in the machining of micro parts. By using this machining system and micro end-mill tool, a micro circle column structure of high aspect ratio, diameter 60 $\mu\textrm{m}$, height 500 $\mu\textrm{m}$, was fabricated. And a micro lens molds were fabricated by using ball end-mill tool of 300 $\mu\textrm{m}$ diameter and diamond fly-cut tool of 150 $\mu\textrm{m}$ radius. A micro injection molding machine, which is clamping force 1.75 ton, injection capacity 2.8cc, was fabricated for injection molding experiment using micro molds. The injection molding experiment was performed by using the injection molding machine, micro cylinder structures and lens molds. This paper introduces these micro machining system and injection molding machine and demonstrates examples of injection molding using fabricated molds.

  • In this study we consider a spares provisioning problem for repairable items in which a parts inventory system is incorporated. If a machine fails, a replacement part must be obtained at the parts inventory system before the failed machine enters the repair center. The inventory policy adopted at the parts inventory system is the (S, Q) policy. Operating times of the machine before failure, ordering lead times and repair times are assumed to follow a two-stage Coxian distribution. For this system, we develop an approximation method to obtain the performance measures such as steady state probabilities of the number of machines at each station and the probability that a part will wait at the parts inventory system. For the analysis of the proposed system, we model the system as a closed queueing network and analyze it using a product-form approximation method. A recursive technique as well as an iterative procedure is used to analyze the sub-network. Numerical tests show that the approximation method provides fairly good estimation of the performance measures of interest.

  • This paper discusses the system layout of flexible manufacturing system. A definition of flexible manufacturing system has not been necessarily classified yet. An understanding, and an objective of its application are different in a variety of industries. It could be treated as the system adopting flexble-Automation and FMS has been improving as a form of parts maching system. It was thought that the problems of machining function and transfer function were important. This paper introduces parts family and machine groups to increase machining function and transfer function. Parts family and machine tool groups were made up by means of multidimensional dizitizing analysis. A new software algorithm for forming parts family and machine groups has been proposed. Flexible manufacturing system was layout according to the FMS transfer function classification.

  • In order to predict the future needs of the aircraft repair parts, each military group develops and applies various techniques to their characteristics. However, the aircraft and the equipped weapon systems are becoming increasingly advanced, and there is a problem in improving the hit rate by applying the existing demand prediction technique due to the change of the aircraft condition according to the long term operation of the aircraft. In this study, we propose a new prediction model based on the conventional time-series analysis technique to improve the prediction accuracy of aircraft repair parts by using machine learning model. And we show the most effective predictive method by demonstrating the change of hit rate based on actual data.

  • This study is an introduction of ADS in which we have written out programs which can design three-dimensional machine parts and reduce the required time for design them comparing with other CADs. Among the machine parts, screws are commonly used in joining one part to another because of easy handing but welding and rivet are used to join permanently them even thought hard operation. Consequently, we have developed the screw fer permanent fixing using stairs type screw threads, which is considered as the main machine parts in joining. For that, we designed permanent fastened screws according to the different rotation angle using VisualLISP and transferred it to ANSYS, structural solution program, to find out allowance load, maximum equivalent stress and where it occur.

  • In this paper, Fuzzy ART which is one of the competitive learing neural networks is applied to machine-part cell formation problem. A large matrix and varios types of machine-part incidence matrices, especially including bottle-neck machines, bottle-neck parts, parts shared by several cells, and machines shared by several cells are used to test the performannce of Fuzzy ART neural network as a cell formation algorithm. The result shows Fuzzy ART neral network can be efficiently applied to machine-part cell formation problem which are large, and/or have much imperfection as exceptions, bottle-neck machines, and bottle-neck parts.

자동차부품 용접자동화장치 개발 및 용접품질 개선에 관한 연구 (Development of Automatic Welding Machine and Weld-Quality Improvement for Automobile Parts)

  • Low cost automatic welding machine is developed for the purpose of welding process automation of automobile parts with two dimensional welding joints. Developed gantry type machine is equipped with X, Y and roll axis stepping motors, and dirive units units are designed by two phase on drive scheme using shift registers. Control system is constructed by single board microcomputer of Z80A CPU, and also it is equipped with parallel input output ports and counter-timer chips. Linear and circular interpolation of welding head movement is accomplished by employing software digital differential analyzers. It has been shown that contour error of develped system is withi ${\pm}1.0mm$, meaning that the machine is suitable for CO2 arc welding process of automoble parts and is expected it's application to industry.

FMS에서의 작업부하균형을 고려한 기계부하결정 (Machine Loading by Workload Balancing in Flexible Manufacturing Systems)

  • This paper aims to develope an algorithm to minimize the total production time, sum of group formation times and processing times, under the balanced workload among the machines by grouping parts with machine loading in FMS. The algorithm of this study is composed of four step procedures ; (1) Parts grouping by Group Technology(GT) (2) Minimizing total processing time in loading problem (3) Machine workload balancing, including above(2) (4) Group formation time, including above(3) For parts grouping, Rank Order Clustering(ROC) algorithm developed by King(1980) is used and this algorithm is programmed by using the MACRO functions of QUATTRO Pro, one of the spreadsheet packages. The structure for loading model is solved by using the Hyper-LINDO. As a case study, numerical examples are demonstrated to show the effectiveness of the proposed machine loading procedure.

쇼트피이닝한 부재의 피로수명 예측 및 피로강도 평가 (Fatigue Life Prediction and Strength Evaluation of Shot Peened Parts)

  • A review was performed on fatigue life prediction and strength evaluation of shot peened parts. Fatigue strength of machine parts can be improved by shot peening due to compressive residual stresses on such parts. Compressive residual stress cannot be uniquely define by peening intensity. Several measuring methods of residual stress and the principle of hole drilling method are presented. Exploratory measurement of residual stress was performed on the shot peened SM35C plate with the hole drilling method. Fatigue life and failure location of shot peened parts under bending load can be predicted by a damage parameter which is incorporated with material properties, residual stress, and applied stress conditions. Some method are presented to predict the fatigue strength of shot peened parts at any given life. Shot peening gives its full benefit to the notched machine parts of high strength steels.
