Structure Assembling Method for 3D Puzzle System (3차원 퍼즐 시스템을 위한 구조물 조립 기법)

  • With the rapid development of computer hardware and invention of various game-related technologies, the quality of games has been greatly improved and the genres of games have been diversified. Yet, in comparison, puzzle games have held to the past simple way of games, which has only led to a depression of the puzzle game market. This paper is the first attempt to overcome limits of the current puzzle games, by finding a breakthrough in three-dimensional puzzle games. In order to describe a realistic puzzle assembly in a three-dimensional puzzle game, this paper aimed to design a structure assembly technique made up of three steps that used a proper process to handle structure suitable to assembly, an elaborate way of collisions between individual objects and a physical structure. Through this technique, we intend to show in a simple experiment that it is possible to minimize the calculation cost in the assembly process and at the same time to achieve an elaborate puzzle assembly between structures.

Higher Order Spectral Analysis of Non-linear Pitching Motion (고차스펙트럼을 이용한 선체 종동요의 비선형적 거동에 관한 해석)

  • The estimation of non-linear ship motion is one of the most important issues in recent studies of ship stability. In this paper, bispectral analysis and bicoherence analysis were introduced in order to analyze the non-linear ship motion. In addition to the previously observed non-linear pitching motion in following seas, this study observed the non-linear phase coupling of pitching motion in following & quartering seas, and starboard beam seas. By comparing phase coupling between each frequency quantitatively via the bicoherence analysis, it was confirmed that non-linear phase coupling was much stronger in frequency regions other than the peak frequencies of a power spectrum. Furthermore, it was found out that the results of bicoherence calculation were analagous to each other, although the different normalization methods were applied.

  • This paper proposes an efficient algorithm which recognizes the mixed document image consisting of the images, texts, tables, and straight lines. This system is composed of three steps. The first step is the detection of rotation angle for complementing skewed images, the second is detection of erasing an unnecessary background region and last is the classification of each component included in document images. This algorithm performs preprocessing of detecting rotation angles and correcting documents based on the detected rotation angles in order to minimize the error rate by skewness of the documentation. We detected the rotation angie using only horizontal and vertical components in document images and minimized calculation time by erasing unnecessary background region in the detecting process of component of document. In the next step, we classify various components such as image, text, table and line area included in document images. we applied this method to various document images in order to evaluate the performance of document recognition system and show the successful experimental results.

Numerical Calculation for Autofocus of Zoom Lenses by Using Gaussian Brackets (가우스 괄호법을 이용한 줌 렌즈의 조출량에 대한 수치해석 계산법)

  • When the object distance of a zoom lens with finite object distances is varied, we can fix the image at a fixed image plane by moving only one zoom lens group (autofocus group) without moving all zoom lens groups for the autofocus. We theoretically formulated and numerically calculated the moving distances of the autofocus group by using Gaussian brackets and a paraxial ray tracing method. The solutions of this method can be consistently and flexibly used in the initial design for the moving distance of autofocus group within these zoom loci in all types of zoom lens. Finally, in order to verify the usefulness of this method, we show that the moving distance of an autofocus group can be rapidly and diversely obtained in one example of $M_{5n}$ zoom lens type.

  • The cationic polymerization of energetic substituted oxetanes which have pendant energetic group such as azido and nitrato are investigated theoretically, using semiempirical HF/3-21G, MINDO/3, MNDO and AM1 method. The stereo- and electronic structure of binary molecular complex composed of energetic substituted oxetane and boron trifluoride can be explain by molecular orbital theory. The reactivity of propagation in the copolymerization of oxetanes can be presented by the positive charge on carbon(C2) atom of oxetane and energy level of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO) of propagating species of oxetanes. The reactivity ratios for copolymerization of oxetanes are a random copolymer-zation which is agree with MO calculated and experimental results. The relative equlibrium concentration of cyclic oxonium and open carbenium ions is found to be a major determinant of mechanism, owing to the rapid equilibrium of these cation forms and the expectation based on calculation that in the prepolymer propagation step, SN1 mechanism will be at least as fast as that for SN2 mechanism.

  • This paper study the position estimation of MBK system according to the non-linear filter for non-Gaussian noise in underwater sensor networks. In the filter to estimate location, recently, the extended Kalman filter (EKF) and particle filter are getting attention. EKF is widely used due to the best algorithm in the Gaussian noise environment, but has many restrictions on the usage in non-Gaussian noise environment such as in underwater. In this paper, we propose the improved One-Dimension Particle Filter (ODPF) using the distribution re-interpretation techniques based on the maximum likelihood. Through the simulation, we compared and analyzed the proposed particle filter with the EKF in non-Gaussian underwater sensor networks. In the case of both the sufficient statistical sample and the sufficient calculation capacity, we confirm that the ODPF's result shows more accurate localization than EKF's result.

  • 2-Fluorocyclopropanemethanol and 2-chlorocyclopropanemethanol have been studied with MP2 and B3LYP methods with 6-311++G(d,p) basis set. The optimized structures show several stable conformers. The most stable conformer show the possibility of intramolecular hydrogen bonding, but the distance between $H{\cdots}F$, or $H{\cdots}Cl$ is longer than van der Waals radii and it may not be strong covalent bonding. Rather the second stable conformer has optimum structure for intramolecular hydrogen bonding but the energy of the conformer is 5 ~ 7 kJ higher than the most stable conformer. When the methanol group and the F or Cl atom have opposite direction, the conformers are less stable than the most stable conformer.

Vision based 3D Hand Interface Using Virtual Two-View Method (가상 양시점화 방법을 이용한 비전기반 3차원 손 인터페이스)

  • With the consistent development of the 3D application technique, visuals are available at more realistic quality and are utilized in many applications like game. In particular, interacting with 3D objects in virtual environments, 3D graphics have led to a substantial development in the augmented reality. This study proposes a 3D user interface to control objects in 3D space through virtual two-view method using only one camera. To do so, homography matrix including transformation information between arbitrary two positions of camera is calculated and 3D coordinates are reconstructed by employing the 2D hand coordinates derived from the single camera, homography matrix and projection matrix of camera. This method will result in more accurate and quick 3D information. This approach may be advantageous with respect to the reduced amount of calculation needed for using one camera rather than two and may be effective at the same time for real-time processes while it is economically efficient.

  • In this paper, we introduce the implementation of driver fatigue monitering system and its result. Input video device is selected commercially available web-cam camera. Haar transform is used to face detection and adopted illumination normalization is used for arbitrary illumination conditions. Facial image through illumination normalization is extracted using Haar face features easily. Eye candidate area through illumination normalization can be reduced by anthropometric measurement and eye detection is performed by PCA and Circle Mask mixture model. This methods achieve robust eye detection on arbitrary illumination changing conditions. Drowsiness state is determined by the level on illumination normalize eye images by a simple calculation. Our system alarms and operates seatbelt on vibration through controller area network(CAN) when the driver's doze level is detected. Our algorithm is implemented with low computation complexity and high recognition rate. We achieve 97% of correct detection rate through in-car environment experiments.

Calculation of Effective Receiving Electric Field Level using the Measurement Analysis from Actual Domestic DTV Environment (국내 디지털 TV방송 환경 측정결과 분석을 통한 효과적인 수신전계강도 산출)

  • Preparing the conversion to the digital broadcasting system, we are deciding broadcasting network plan and interference protection area, using the measured receiving electric field level from the digital broadcasting station. However, the essential researches are needed about a receiving electric field level, because a digital TV (DTV) broadcasting receiver has been improved and an actual receiving environment should be considered. In this paper, the measured data were classified with domestic terrain of line of sight (LOS) and those of non-LOS, and effective receiving electric field level was proposed based on the LOS data. It is known that receiving electric field-level of 48 ㏈uV/m or more should be required for receiving rate of 90% and 50 ㏈uV/m for that of 95%, on the basis of the information of domestic terrain LOS.
