홈 네트워크 기반의 펠릿 활용 난방 보일러 제어시스템 (The Control System of Wood Pellet Boiler Based on Home Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 '저탄소 녹색성장'의 세계적 추세에 따라 탄소 중립적 에너지원인 우드펠릿(wood pellet)을 사용하는 난방보일러 제어시스템 구현을 제시한다. 본 시스템은 공중전화망 및 이동통신망을 통해 원격으로도 제어 가능한 홈 네트워크 기반의 제어 및 관리시스템 구현도 포함한다. 구현된 시스템은 온도조절기능, 연료공급기능, 점화기능, 화력조절기능, 그을음제거기능 등을 수행하는 보일러 주제어부와 주제어부와의 RS-485 통신링크를 통해 각 방의 개별 온도를 제어 할 수 있는 온도조절기 모듈 및 보일러의 원격제어 및 모니터링이 가능한 공중전화망 및 이동통신망 인터페이스 부분으로 구성된다. 구현된 시스템은 기본동작시험과 원격제어시험을 통해 난방면적 $172m^2$에서 열효율 93.6%, 난방출력 20,640kcal/hr, 연료소모량 5.54kg/hr 으로 나타났다. 이러한 성능지표는 기존 개발된 펠릿보일러에 비해서 우수한 결과로써 기존 보일러에서는 적용하지 않았던 3단계의 점화과정과 그을음제거 기능과 함께 $C_dS$ 센서를 통한 불꽃감지기능 및 셔터개폐의 미세 조정을 통한 화력조절기능을 새롭게 적용한 결과이다.

  • We have developed a prototype patient monitoring system including module-based bedside units, interbed network, and central stations. A bedside unit consists of a color monitor and a main CPU unit with peripherals including a module controller. It can also include up to 3 module cases and 21 different modules. In addition to the 3-channel recorder module, six different physiological parameters of ECG, respiration, invasive blood pressure, noninvasive blood pressure, body temperature, and arterial pulse oximetry with plethysmogaph are provided as parameter modules. Modules and a module controller communicate with up to 1Mbps data rate through an intrabed network based on RS-485 and HDLC protocol. Bedside units can display up to 12 channels of waveforms with any related numeric informations simultaneously. At the same time, it communicates with other bedside units and central stations through interbed network based on 10Mbps Ethernet and TCP/IP protocol. Software far bedside units and central stations fully utilizes gaphical user interface techniques and all functions are controlled by a rotate/push button on bedside unit and a mouse on central station. The entire system satisfies the requirements of AAMI and ANSI standards in terms of electrical safety and performances. In order to accommodate more advanced data management capabilities such as 24-hour full disclosure, we are developing a relational database server dedicated to the patient monitoring system. We are also developing a clinical workstation with which physicians can review and examine the data from patients through various kinds of computer networks far diagnosis and report generation. Portable bedside units with LCD display and wired or wireless data communication capability will be developed in the near future. New parameter modules including cardiac output, capnograph, and other gas analysis functions will be added.

Aerosol Deposition and Its Potential Use for Bioactive Ceramic Coatings

  • Aerosol Deposition (AD) is anovel way to fabricate bioactive ceramic coatings in biomedical implants and prostheses applications. In the present work, silicon-substituted hydroxyapatite (HA) coatings on commercially pure titanium were prepared by aerosol deposition using Si-HA powders. The incorporation of silicon in the HA lattice is known to improve the bioactivity of the HA, makingsilicon-substitute HA an attractive alternative to pure HA in biomedical applications. Si-HA powders with the chemical formula $Ca_{10}(PO_4)_6-x(SiO_4)x(OH)_2-x$, having silicon contents up to x=0.5 (1.4 wt%), were synthesized by solid-state reaction of $Ca_2P_2O_7$, $CaCO_3$, and $SiO_2$. The Si-HA powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR). The corresponding coatings were also analyzed by XRD, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA). The results revealed that a single-phase Si-HA was obtained without any secondary phases such as $\alpha$- or $\beta$-tricalcium phosphate (TCP) for both the powders and the coatings.The Si-HA coating was about $5\;{\mu}m$ thick, had a densemicrostructure with no cracks or pores. In addition, the proliferation and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity of MC3T3-E1 preosteoblast cells grown on the Si-HA coatings were significantly higher than those on the bare Ti and pure HA coating. These results revealed the stimulatory effects induced by siliconsubstitution on the cellular response to the HA coating.

사료내 식물성 Phytase (Phytazyme®) 첨가가 산란계의 생산성 및 인 이용성에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Supplemental Plant Phytase (Phytazyme®) on Performances and Phosphorus Excretion in Laying Hens)

  • 본 연구는 식물성 phytase 처리수준이 산란계의 생산성에 미치는 영향 및 인 이용률에 미치는 영향을 검토하기 위하여 실시하였다. NRC 사양표준의 유효 인 요구량을 충족시킨 대조구와 무기태인 사용량을 50%로 제한한 처리구로 나누고, 각각의 처리구에 식물성 phytase를 각각 0.05%, 0.1% 및 0.2% 첨가하였다. 58주령의 갈색 산란계(ISA-Brown) 240수를 공시하여 총 6주간 사양실험을 실시하였고 산란종계를 이용하여 인 및 질소의 이용성을 측정하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 50% 무기태인 수준에서 식물성 phytase의 첨가에 따른 일당증체량, 산란율의 저하는 나타나지 않았다. 2. 50% 무기태인 수준에서 식물성 phytase 0.05% 첨가수준에서 일시적으로 난각질 저하 현상이 나타났으나 0.1% 이상 첨가수준에서는 난각질의 변화가 관찰되지 않았다. 3. 효소의 첨가수준이 증가함에 따라 P 배설량의 감소와 P 이용률이 개선되었다(P<0.05). 4. 식물성 phytase 첨가는 산란계의 성적 저하없이 사료내 무기태인의 사용량을 줄일 수 있음이 시사되었다.

Transcriptome profiling of rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) discovers candidate regulators of the cold stress response

  • Tropical plant rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) is the sole source of commercial natural rubber and low-temperature stress is the most important limiting factor for its cultivation. To characterize the gene expression profiles of H. brasiliensis under the cold stress and discover the key cold stress-induced genes. Three cDNA libraries, CT (control), LT2 (cold treatment at $4^{\circ}C$ for 2 h) and LT24 (cold treatment at $4^{\circ}C$ for 24 h) were constructed for RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) and gene expression profiling. Quantitative real time PCR (qRT-PCR) was conducted to validate the RNA-Seq and gene differentially expression results. A total of 1457 and 2328 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in LT2 and LT24 compared with CT were respectively detected. Most significantly enriched KEGG pathways included flavonoid biosynthesis, phenylpropanoid biosynthesis, plant hormone signal transduction, cutin, suberine and wax biosynthesis, Pentose and glucuronate interconversions, phenylalanine metabolism and starch and sucrose metabolism. A total of 239 transcription factors (TFs) were differentially expressed following 2 h or/and 24 h of cold treatment. Cold-response transcription factor families included ARR-B, B3, BES1, bHLH, C2H, CO-like, Dof, ERF, FAR1, G2-like, GRAS, GRF, HD-ZIP, HSF, LBD, MIKC-MADS, M-type MADS, MYB, MYB-related, NAC, RAV, SRS, TALE, TCP, Trihelix, WOX, WRKY, YABBY and ZF-HD. The genome-wide transcriptional response of rubber tree to the cold treatments were determined and a large number of DEGs were characterized including 239 transcription factors, providing important clues for further elucidation of the mechanisms of cold stress responses in rubber tree.
