  • N,N-Diethyl-m-toluamide is the active ingredient in insect repellant against malaria mosquito. It is remarkable that if the methyl group is in either of the other isomeric positions(ortho or para) the compound is ineffective as an insect repellant. Semiempirical quantum mechanical treatment are applied to these molecules to explain the difference, using the extended Huckel theory, the theoretical predictions for the preferred conformation are compared with experimental results.

  • In this paper, in order to improve concentration of learning disorder students, m-ARCS model is proposed. The m-ARCS model is based on the ARCS model that is the existing representative motivation support model. The model is designed on mobile environment, and to provide motivation and concentration to learning disorder students by allowing students to engage in various real-life activities. Based on the proposed m-ARCS model, a mobile anchor program is designed and implemented. The followings are concluded after applying the mobile anchor program to learning disorder students. First, students are highly motivated and concentrated by the program. Second, students gain confidence by feeling of success during their study. Third, their basic study ability is improved via the mobile anchor program activities

Theoretical Study on the Hydrogen-Bonding Effect of H2On-H2Om (n=1-4, m=1-4) Dimers (H2On-H2Om (n=1-4, m=1-4) 이중합체의 수소결합에 따른 구조적 특성 및 결합에너지에 관한 이론 연구)

  • The DFT and ab initio calculations have been performed to elucidate hydrogen interaction of hydrogen polyoxide dimers, $H_2O_n-H_2O_m$ (n=1-4, m=1-4). The optimized geometries, harmonic vibrational frequencies, and binding energies are predicted at various levels of theory. The harmonic vibrational frequencies of the molecules considered in this study show all real numbers implying true minima. The higher-order correlation effect were discussed to compare MP2 result with CCSD(T) single point energy. The binding energies were corrected for the zero-point vibrational energy (ZPVE) and basis set superposition errors (BSSE). The largest binding energy predicted at the CCSD(T)/cc-pVTZ level of theory is 8.18 kcal/mol for $H_2O_4-H_2O_3$ and the binding energy of water dimer is predicted to be 3.00 kcal/mol.

A Study on the Arching Effect due to Embankment Piles (성토지지말뚝에 의한 아칭효과 연구)

  • A full-scale field test was conducted to investigate the arching effect of an embankment pile. The arching effect calculated from the test results was compared with theoretical values. Measurements obtained from a load cell and an earth pressure cell during the field test reflected the arching effect of the embankment pile well. The arching effect measured by load cells for an embankment height of 3m or less was smaller than the theoretical value with the assumption of plain strain.The measured effect for a height of 4 m or more was larger than the theoretical value. In contrast to the consistent decrease of the theoretical arching effect, the arching effect obtained from the field test shows continually increasing trends. The arching effects calculated from the earth pressure cells were greater than those from the theory under the plain strain assumption, but the trend was similar to the theoretical one. The arching effects measured by the earth pressure cells an embankment heights of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 m were 1.05, 1.23, 1.29, 1.28, and 1.29 times greater than those from the theory under the assumption of plain strain. The arching effects from the field test were much greater than those from the theory under the installation of a pile grid.

  • We investigated the structures and electronic properties of CumSiOm+1 clusters with m = 0 - 7. For these clusters, we replaced a Cu atom in the copper oxide clusters with a Si atom. The B3LYP functional and LANL2DZ basis set were used for optimization of the molecular structures of all neutral and charged clusters. The bond distances, bond angles, and Mulliken charges were calculated to study the structural properties. In addition, in order to understand the electronic properties, we examined the ionization energies, electronic affinities, and second differences in energies.

G(2$^{m}$ , 2$^{k}$ )가 임의의 정점 쌍 ν, $\omega$를 잇는 길이 ι인 경로를 가지는가 하는 문제를 고려하여, (a) G(2$^{m}$ , 2$^{k}$ )는 ι$\geq$d(ν, $\omega$)을 만족하는 모든 ι에 대해서 길이 ι인 경로를 가지며, (b) G(2$^{m}$ , 4)는 ι$\geq$d(ν, $\omega$)+2인 모든 길이의 경로를 가지며, (c)G(2$^{m}$ , 2$^{k}$ ), k$\geq$3은 길이 d(ν, $\omega$)+2$^{k}$ -3인 경로를 가지지 않는 정점 쌍이 있음을 보인다. 여기서, d(ν, $\omega$)는 ν와 $\omega$ 사이의 거리이다.

Experimental and Analytical Study of a Cooling Mechanism Using Acoustic Streaming by Ultrasonic Vibrations (초음파진동에 의한 음향유동을 활용한 냉각 메카니즘의 실험 및 이론적 연구)

  • A cooling mechanism using acoustic streaming by ultrasonic vibrations and associated convective heat transfer enhancement is investigated experimentally and analytically. Acoustic streaming pattern and associated heat transfer characteristics are presented. Analytical transient temperature profile of the heated plate following Nyborgs theory is accomplished along with experimental measurement. A temperature drop of 30 C is obtained in 4 minutes with vibration amplitude of 10${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. As the vibration amplitude is further increased to 25${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ a temperature drop of 40 C is achieved that is the maximum temperature drop obtained with the current experimental apparatus. Analytical heat transfer solutions verified a temperature drop of 4$0^{\circ}C$ with a vibration amplitude of 25${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ at 28.4 kHz which is experimentally obtained.

  • 학생들의 기초 기본학습 능력의 신장이 강조되고 있는 교육상황에 비추어 볼 때 지금까지 간과되어 왔던 학습장애에 대한 재인식과 학습 장애학생들을 위한 대책이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 그 대책으로 기존의 keller의 동기유발학습이론인 ARCS모델을 변형하여 정착수업이론의 앵커라는 자발적 인지학습을 위한 매개체를 도입하여 변형된 M-ARCS이론을 토대로 학습 장애학생들의 동기유발 및 학습에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 향상시키는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 모바일 앵커 프로그램의 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, ARCS이론에서 강조하던 학생들의 주의집중, 관련성, 성취감, 자신감이라는 항목을 통해 학습 장애 학생들에게 기존의 교육방법과 다른 동기유발을 통한 성공이라는 경험을 준다. 둘째, 정착수업모델의 앵커를 적용하여 학생들이 실제생활과 관련된 지식들을 배우고, 적용하도록 함으로써 보다 유의미한 지식을 생성하고 활용할 수 있도록 한다. 셋째, 기존의 앵커형태와 다른 모바일 앵커를 적용함으로써 실제 활동하며 문제를 해결해 나가는 과정을 도입하여 학습 장애 학생들에게 주의집중 및 동기유발을 할 수 있는 새로운 형태의 교육방법을 제시한다. 이러한 활동을 통해 최종적으로 학습 장애 학생들의 학업능력 향상을 도모한다.

Topological Properties of Recursive Circulants : Disjoint Cycles and Graph Invariants (재귀원형군의 위상 특성 : 서로소인 사이클과 그래프 invariant)

  • 이 논문은 재귀원형군 G(2^m , 2^k )를 그래프 이론적 관점에서 고찰하고 정점이 서로소인 사이클과 그래프 invariant에 관한 위상 특성을 제시한다. 재귀원형군은 1 에서 제안된 다중 컴퓨터의 연결망 구조이다. 재귀원형군 {{{{G(2^m , 2^k )가 길이 사이클을 가질 필요 충분 조건을 구하고, 이 조건하에서 G(2^m , 2^k )는 가능한 최대 개수의 정점이 서로소이고 길이가l`인 사이클을 가짐을 보인다. 그리고 정점 및 에지 채색, 최대 클릭, 독립 집합 및 정점 커버에 대한 그래프 invariant를 분석한다.Abstract In this paper, we investigate recursive circulant G(2^m , 2^k ) from the graph theory point of view and present topological properties of G(2^m , 2^k ) concerned with vertex-disjoint cycles and graph invariants. Recursive circulant is an interconnection structure for multicomputer networks proposed in 1 . A necessary and sufficient condition for recursive circulant {{{{G(2^m , 2^k ) to have a cycle of lengthl` is derived. Under the condition, we show that G(2^m , 2^k ) has the maximum possible number of vertex-disjoint cycles of length l`. We analyze graph invariants on vertex and edge coloring, maximum clique, independent set and vertex cover.

A Study on Composing direction about Mobile Unified Communication Service based on Theory of Communicative Action (의사소통행위이론에 기반한 기업의 모바일 소통채널의 방향성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to compose direction about mUC as a communication channel in the company. Recently, many companies have started to adopt or try to vitalize the use of mUC. This study starts from the viewpoint of communication which is the original purpose of SNS or mUC. The purpose and function of life-world are drawn based on Habermas' theory of communicative action. Firstly, this study will check on a difference in usage over the action and articulation between SNS and mUC. Secondly, this study will examine a difference of effect of life-world between SNS and mUC. Thirdly, to check that there is difference according to the user characteristics. The result is that there are differences about action and articulation but little differences of effect to the life-world between SNS and mUC. Also, there is difference according to the user characteristics. This study could contribute to compose direction when a company adopts or vitalizes mUC.
