A 4-unknown shear deformation theory is applied to investigate the vibration of functionally graded plates under thermal environment. The plate is fabricated from a functionally graded material mixed of ceramic and metal with continuously varying material properties through the plate thickness. Three types of thermal loadings, uniform, linear and nonlinear temperature rises along the plate thickness are taken into account. The present theory contains four unknown functions as against five or more in other higher order shear deformation theories. The through-the-thickness distributions of transverse shear stresses of the plate are considered to vary parabolically and vanish at upper and lower surfaces. The present model does not require any problem dependent shear correction factor. Analytical solutions for the free vibration analysis are derived based on Fourier series that satisfy the boundary conditions (Navier's method). Benchmark solutions are firstly considered to evaluate the accuracy of the proposed model. Comparisons with the solutions available in literature revealed the good capabilities of the present model for the simulations of vibration responses of FG plates. Some parametric studies are carried out for the frequency analysis by varying the volume fraction profile and the temperature distribution across the plate thickness.

The aim of this study is to find an analytic solution to the problem of determining the optimal capacity of a batch-storage network to meet demand for finished products in a system undergoing joint random variations of operating time and batch material loss. The superstructure of the plant considered here consists of a network of serially and/or parallel interlinked batch processes and storage units. The production processes transform a set of feedstock materials into another set of products with constant conversion factors. The final product demand flow is susceptible to joint random variations in the cycle time and batch size. The production processes have also joint random variations in cycle time and product quantity. The spoiled materials are treated through regeneration or waste disposal processes. The objective function of the optimization is minimizing the total cost, which is composed of setup and inventory holding costs as well as the capital costs of constructing processes and storage units. A novel production and inventory analysis the PSW (Periodic Square Wave) model, provides a judicious graphical method to find the upper and lower bounds of random flows. The advantage of this model is that it provides a set of simple analytic solutions while also maintaining a realistic description of the random material flows between processes and storage units; as a consequence of these analytic solutions, the computation burden is significantly reduced. The proposed method has the potential to rapidly provide very useful data on which to base investment decisions during the early plant design stage. It should be of particular use when these decisions must be made in a highly uncertain business environment.
This paper develops a differentiated pricing strategy over each segment of expressways based on the second-best pricing method for reducing congestion. To this end, a bi-level problem is proposed, in which the upper level of the model is formulated to determine toll level of each segment for minimizing traffic congestion, whereas the lower level of the model is formulated as a variable demand assignment problem. The sensitivity analysis based algorithm is took placed to find optimal solutions of upper level model. An application of the proposed model uses the modified Sioux-Falls network. The results show that the segment-based differentiated pricing strategy performs better than the existing uniform pricing strategy in reducing traffic congestion. This study can be applied as a demand management method to relieve disutility of excessively congested segments of expressways.
The optimum design of base isolation system considering model parameter uncertainty is usually performed by using the unconditional response of structure obtained by the total probability theory, as the performance index. Though, the probabilistic approach is powerful, it cannot be applied when the maximum possible ranges of variations are known and can be only modelled as uncertain but bounded type. In such cases, the interval analysis method is a viable alternative. The present study focuses on the bounded optimization of base isolation system to mitigate the seismic vibration effect of structures characterized by bounded type system parameters. With this intention in view, the conditional stochastic response quantities are obtained in random vibration framework using the state space formulation. Subsequently, with the aid of matrix perturbation theory using first order Taylor series expansion of dynamic response function and its interval extension, the vibration control problem is transformed to appropriate deterministic optimization problems correspond to a lower bound and upper bound optimum solutions. A lead rubber bearing isolating a multi-storeyed building frame is considered for numerical study to elucidate the proposed bounded optimization procedure and the optimum performance of the isolation system.

Ferroelectric PZT heterolayered thin films were fabricated by spin coating method on the Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrate using PZT(10/90) and PZT(90/10) m7etal alkoxide solutions. All PZT heterolayered films showed a homogeneous grain structures without presence of rosette structure. It can be assumed that the lower PZT layers played a role of nucleation site for the formation of the upper PZT layer. Pb-deficient PZT phase was formed at PZT/Pt interface due to the diffusion of Pb element into a Pt bottom electrode. The relative dielectric constant and the dielectric loss of the PZT-6 film were 567 and 3.6%, respectively. Increasing the number of coatings, remanent polarization and coercive field were decreased and the values of the PZT-6 heterolayered film were $7.18\muC/cm^2$ and 68.5kV/cm, respectively. Leakage current densities were increased with increasing the number of coatings, and the value of the PZT-4 film was about $7\times10-8A/cm^2$ at 0.05MV/cm.

This paper deals with a kind of the half-space interfacial problem in time domain, requiring the calculation of the horizontal electric field generated by a tiny impulsive current source located horizontally at the interface between an isotropic upper half-space and a uniaxially anisotropic lower half-space. With the Cagniard-de-Hoop method adapted for our interfacial case, we obtain the explicit-form solution for this electric field. We also investigate the impulse radiation in the radial direction. The impulse components of Dirac $\delta$-function type in transient waveforms are important for the understanding of the interfacial far-field characteristics. The uniaxial case is a generalization of the isotropic one, and the explicit solutions of the uniaxial problem in this paper reduce to the solutions of the isotropic problem if the anisotropy is removed.

Recently, it has been strangely increasing rainfall and rainfall meter by global warming. so flood damage is being increase. It has happened there are so many damaged by influence by backwater of dam. However, the alleviative solutions of flood damages are focused on the lower river basin where the density of population is higher than upper river basin. This research proceeds based on design and build 3D topography model and reflects the topographical factors of upper river basin. It also simulated the circumstances of flooding by investigation of factors of outflow, hence, as a result, we would find out the vulnerable area for flooding and scale of damages effectively. This research suggests the solution and method of flooding for vulnerable area of the flooding to reduce the damages by predicting flooding. Thus, the suggestion may support to make a decision efficiently to prevent the damage of flooding.

A core procedure of the direct search method used in this study is optimizing a difference between objective function and real displacement and correcting unknown variables. Because the research procedure comes from back-analyzing of the unknown variable of each layer, back-analyzing results need an additional optimization to minimize interferential effects of unknown variables. Therefore, the direct search method Is used to obtain optimized solutions without a partial differentiation of an objective function. The object of this research is developing the back analysis technique for multi-unknown variables by modeling the soil including underground structure Into upper and lower layer. In order to minimize interferent errors, repeated back analysis is performed and applicability on the real tunnel is examined. Consequently, the multi-layer analysis model is more precise in describing the real behavior of underground structure. It shows the validity of back analysis far multi-layer model which is the understructure placed on multi-layer boundaries.
Objectives : This study was conducted to confirm validation and stability of concentration analysis method of pure melittin (Sweet Bee Venom-Sweet BV) extracted from the bee venom by utilizing protein isolation method of gel filtration. Methods : All experiments were conducted at Biotoxtech, a non-clinical studies authorized institution, under the regulations of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Standard solutions of melittin (SIGMA, USA) and test substances were dispensed and were analyzed with HPLC for Sweet BV to secure the validation of analysis. Results : 1. Measurement of system suitability of Sweet BV satisfied criterion of below 3%. 2. Confirming Linearity of Sweet BV in 10-200${\mu}g/m\ell$ solution yielded correlation coefficient (r) of 0.995 and accuracy of 85-115% which satisfy criterion. 3. Measurement of Specificity of Sweet BV didn't yield any substance affecting the peak of test substances, but detected at 21.22min verified as the test substance. 4. Numerical solutions are presented for solving the free surface flow created by a three-dimensional body moving beneath the free surface with constant velocity at an angle of attack. The solution is obtained using a panel method based on the perturbation potential, which employs Havelock sources and normal dipoles distributed on the body surface and Havelock normal dipoles in the wake downstream of the trailing edge. A pressure Kutta condition with an iterative solution procedure is implemented to satisfy equal pressure condition on the upper and lower surfaces at the trailing edge. Numerical calculation examples in the present paper include an ellipsoid at zero angle of attack, a rectangular planform wing at a small angle of attack in the limit of zero Froude number and then free surface flows and hydrodynamic forces acting on the submerged spheroid and parabolic strut are calculated. Discussions are made about the validity of the present method.
