A Study on 2 -Dimensional Sound Source Tracking System II (2차원적 음원추적에 관한 연구 II)

  • The whistle is a very important information source for the safety navigation under foggy weather. But navigator has no concern about this , because it must be achieved by human hearing sense and considered as a vague signal. If the range and relative bearing of signa source can be detected automatically, it would be very useful system for preventing marine casualties making a lot of economic loss and environment pollution. Before the algorithm of 2-dimensinal sound source tracking system was reported . This paper describes the method that can obtain thetime lag between three signas and the theory of cross-correlation analysis and subtraction method for cauculating the time lag by using the digital signal data sequences. And a series of experiments were carried out for various position of sound source in the range from 200m to 530cm.

  • The excessive need of power is creating an unbalance situation in power sector, where solar energy is one of the best solutions among other energy sources to mitigate this demand. It is globally accepted because of its flexibility and long life compared to others. A lot research is going on to enhance the energy efficiency by introducing photovoltaic (PV) power generation technology, but still irradiation of PV power is the major problem. In this manuscript, we have designed PV module using single diode methodology and also the solar conversion efficiency was boosted with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) by using perturb and observe (P&O) algorithm. The simulation was done for $1000W/m^2$ and $800W/m^2$ at solar irradiance in cell temperature of 25C and 40C degree levels in PSIM tool.

  • As the surveillance CCTVs are increasing every year, big data image processing for the CCTV image data has become a hot issue. In this paper, we propose a Hadoop-based big data image processing technique to recognize a vehicle number from a large amount of automatic number plate images taken from CCTVs. We also implement the vehicle route tracking system that displays the moving path of the searched vehicle on Google Maps with the related information together. In order to evaluate the performance we compare and analysis the vehicle number recognition time for a lot of CCTV image data in Hadoop and the single PC environment.

  • In the industrial motor drive system which is composed of a motor and load connected with a flexible shaft, a torsional vibration is often generated because of the elastic elements in torque transmission. This vibration, which is generated in a two-mass mechanical system. To solve this problem, recently there has been a lot of researches for the robust control relevant to the $H_{\infty}$ control suppressing the torsional vibration and rejecting the torque disturbance. In the case of the $H_{\infty}$controller, however, the command tracking property becomes worse because of overshoot during transient response. For this reason the $H_{\infty}$ controller, which includes the two-degrees-of-freedom(TDOF) controller, is designed in order to improve command tracking property. However, it also includes complexity realizing this controller. In this paper, a new $H_{\infty}$ controller with partial state feedback is proposed. Proposed $H_{\infty}$controller has simple structure but satisfies with the fast command tracking property and the attenuation of disturbances and vibrations simultaneously, just like the complicated TDOF $H_{\infty}$ controller.

  • A photovoltaic system is getting the spotlight for a environment-friendly energy source. But its location is limited because a lot of land is necessary for photovoltaic arrays. Nevertheless, its dissemination is rapidly increasing more than 40 % every year and exceeded about 400 MW in 2009. The radical growth of a photovoltaic system aggravated a lack of sites, so that forests and farmland were destroyed. It is demanded to make use of a vacant lot or little piece of land for the way to solve the lack of sites and improve the location requirements for a photovoltaic system. General photovoltaic arrays are consist of a single layer structure and needs enough separation distances to maximize the amount of solar radiation and to eliminate influences by the shadow of other arrays. So that a large amount of land is required for the site. The solar cell arrays with long separation distances can not be placed in a small vacant lot and its site application efficiency is low. This study optimized photovoltaic arrays as multilayered structure with movable sleeves for the efficient photovoltaic in a small site. The existing photovoltaic arrays with a single layer structure were fixed or tracking systems. In this experimental equipment, photovoltaic arrays attached to the multilayers have rectilinear movement and rotary motion using sleeves. Therefore, shadow influences were removed and the generation capacity was improved. On the simulation result, generation increased by about 30% in the same site considering shadow influences and so on.

  • In this paper, we propose a new object tracking system using stereo images to improve the performance of the automatic object tracking system. The existing object tracking system has optimum characteristics, but it requires a lot of computation. In the case of the image with a single eye, the system is difficult to estimate and track for the various transformation of the object. Because the stereo image by both eyes is difficult to estimate the translation and the rotation, this paper deals with the tracking method, which has the ability to track the image for translation for real time, with block matching algorithm in order to decrease the calculation. The experimental results demonstrate the usefulness of proposed system with the recognition rate of 88% in the rotation, 89% in the translation, 88% in various image, and with the mean rate of 88.3%.

  • As a precedence research for the COMS(Communication, Oceanic, and Meteorological Satellite), this paper proposes the SMTC(Soble Masked Tracking Guideline) algorighm for a fast landmark matching. The experimental results show that proposed algorithm should recude a lot of calculative time.

  • Satellites provide a lot of information and essay roles in the areas of defense and space observations. The precise distances to the satellites are measured by emitting and retro-reflecting a laser. For such surveys, satellite laser ranging (SLR) systems have been developed in different forms and for different areas. The structural integrity of the tracking mount is essential for it to be able to track a high-speed satellite precisely, overcoming the various external and internal disturbances and operating conditions. In this study, the analysis of a tracking mount was performed for weight, wind loads, and inertia loads in order to verify its soundness. The results of the comparison between aluminum and steel were analyzed in order to select the optimal material for the fork and main housing part. In addition, the natural frequency and mode shape were predicted. Optimal material selection and structural integrity will also be verified using static analysis.

  • Recently, the Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) system has been growing with many promising features in technology and applications fields. Especially, a lot of efforts for the application of RFID system in the field of logistics management have been conducted. In addition, in logistics section of steel industry a remarkable efficiency can be attained by application of the RFID system. However, in the RFID system applied for the steel industry, lots of problems were found to be solved in recognition of the tags and antennas. This paper presents the feasibility of deploying RFID in the steel industry as a tool for reduction of the production cost. An application of the steel industry to RFID-based tracking management system was proposed. The results of this paper showed that the recognition rate of material input and output was found 100 percent and secured 99 percent of detection rate in the location. In conclusion, the proposed RFID-based tracking management system was approved superior to the existing system in terms of productivity.

  • Recently, Humanity enter the super-connection generation that linking human and things as a result of the development ICT technologies. IoT technology is growing rapidly as a result of IoT technology appearance and development of smart device, technology expansion, the spread of smart sensors, spread diffusion of smart devices, construction of a variety of network. These techniques are applied to those having a mobility is growing importance of network technology. Real-time service and features, such as the accuracy of the data it became important. In order to implement the IoT will need to take into account IP, security, a lot of things such as a service model, but in this paper, want to discuss mobility, for the tracking technology of routing path for efficient service delivery of the host. Therefore, in this paper, the routing path that is currently study examined the tracking technology, we try to refer to routing method of the future of the mobile host.
