This paper proposes a novel method for determining the kind and rating of power quality solutions. To determine the kind of solution, event cause and direction are utilized. According to the event cause and direction, an adequate type of solution is determined for effective compensation. To rate the required capacity of solution, the concept of lost energy is adopted. Lost voltage, lost power and lost energy are calculated and the rating of the solution is determined to compensate a specific event. The rating method that utilizes the result of stochastic diagnosis is also proposed. A power quality index such as CP95 is adopted for solution suggestion. The method developed in this paper is applied to the test system and proved to be useful for enhancing the power quality of the customer system. It can provide customers with information pertaining to what is a proper and cost-effective solution among various compensating devices.

We studied fielding indices to explain runs lost for Korean professional baseball teams, successively motivated by OPS and weighted OPS obtained by combining on-base percentage and slugging average that can adequately explain the run productivity of teams. We considered several combined indices made by combining fielding indices highly correlated with the runs lost of teams. Data analysis from all games in the regular seasons of 1982-2015 shows that weighted adjusted WPH 2 (defined as weighted average of adjusted WHIP and number of home runs allowed per inning) best explains runs lost. Weighted adjusted WPH 2 consisting of adjusted WHIP (with weight 34%) and number of home runs allowed per inning (with weight 66%) was found to be optimal weighted adjusted WPH 2 having correlation coefficient 0.95362 with average runs lost per game. This result is an improvement of the result of the index obtained in Kim and Kim (2015a). Analysis by chronological periods provides results that are not much different. Also we made a list of top 10 pitchers for each of the recent three years, based on the obtained index.

The reason of the loss for the plastic sea-eel pots were estimated as crew's mistake, strong current, bad weather, rough seabed, artificial reef and other boats' fishing. Especially, pot loss happened on the fishing could make some additional catch, loss of the catches and ghost fishing because there are baits and alive fish in the lost pot. Quantity of the lost pots was estimated as 2~4 times of the ordinary usage. On the result of investigation to analyze the possibility of sustainable ghost fishing for the lost pot to feed the fishes at anytime because there were blenny, silver whiting, bar-tailed flathead and shrimp including sea-eel in the lost pot. In the bioeconomic point, ghost fishing is competitive with the general fishing. Accordingly, usage of biodegradable plastic material for the plastic sea-eel pot will be better to reduce ghost fishing

The aim of this study was to investigate medical expenses and productivity lost costs associated with medical use of arthropathy disease. For this study, Using by Korea Medical pannel 5434 family and 15872 people in 2012, the enrolled 19-year-old arthropathy were considered and 1370 people were analyzed. Research Method was medical management calculation formular. Emergency medical using cost was 42,128,870 won per year, productivity lost costs was 98,640,000 won per year. Admission medical using times were 4.79, medical cost was 42,128,870 won, productivity lost cost was 945,036,820 won. Out patient clinic using time per year were 12.7, medical cost was 42,128,870 won, productivity lost cost was 91,252,728,000 won. According to this study, athropathy disease could affect to medical cost increasing and productivity decreasing, therefore I suggest that exercise and management for decreasing athropathy disease.

The construction industry causes the most accidents and fatalities among all industries. Although many efforts have been made to reduce safety accidents in construction, the study on the lost workdays that return to work place is insufficient. Therefore, this study proposes a model that classifies the lost workdays lost into moderate and severity, and derives the importance of variable and analyzes important factors through the trained random forest model. We analyze the learning process of the random forest which is a black box model, and extracted important variables that impact on the severity of the lost workdays through the extracted feature importance. The factors existing inside were analyzed through the extracted variables. The purpose of this study is to analyze the accident case data at the construction site through a random forest model and to review variables that have a high impact on the lost workdays. In the future, this sutdy can apply to improve construction safety management and reduce the accident of industrial accidents.

The aim of this study is to analysis how economic welfare lost happens within the present korea seasonal and time period electricity pricing system and find out reasonable electricity price system acceptable during the transitional period of korea electricity industry restructuring To analyze economic welfare lost in the electricity industry, in advance seasonal and time periodic 9 demand curves(summer, spring ＆fall, winter/peak-load time, middle-load time, low-load time) and one market supply curve are made and then using these demand and supply curve, seasonal and time periodic market equilibrium prices is calculated. Finally, comparing these market equilibrium prices with present regulated classified seasonal and time periodic prices, the whole economic welfare lost in the electricity industry is calculated. The result of this study shows that in 2002, the total economic welfare lost in electricity industry is 137,770 million Won and under present price system, the worst welfare lost is happening seasonally in spring ＆ fall, time periodically in the middle-load time. Specifically analyzing the characteristics of welfare lost, especially on the industry customers and service customers which are applied in seasonal and time periodic pricing, for the industry customers, the welfare lost calculated in this class occupies 51% of the total welfare lost in the whole electricity industry and the worst welfare lost is happening seasonally in spring ＆ fall, time periodically in the middle-load time. For service customers, the welfare lost calculated in this class occupies 13% of the total welfare lost in the whole electricity industry and the worst welfare lost is happening seasonally in summer, time periodically in the peak time Finally, this study was made based on the year of 2002 and KEPCO has practiced two times of rate change until now. The result of rate change was positively analyzed in the direction of economic welfare improvement(welfare improvement achieved by 16.3% compared to 2002 result).

The ratio of fractured reservoir is very high in oil & gas fields around the world. The demand of drilling technology for fractured reservoir is expected to increase continuously if oil and gas prices are economical. The purpose of the review study is to help operator or driller in selecting of proper drilling technology for preventing a lost circulation in the fractured formation. In order to achieve this goal, fractured reservoir(formation) they are classified into partial lost circulation formation and total lost circulation formation. In case of partial lost circulation formation, the drilling problem can be solved by using LCM(lost circulation material) mud additive and squeezing cement. For shallow depth, total lost circulation formation can be drilled safely and economically with casing drilling method. Also, for deeper depth, problems of total lost circulation in formation can be solved by applying mud cap, which is one of the drilling methods. This was confirmed through field application such as Italy's Medusa-1 field and Qatar's North field.

The inauguration of President Lee Myung-bak symbolizes the success of the "Lost 10 Years" election strategy. This study investigated the meaning of the "Lost 10 Years" strategy and compared this strategy to other traditional propaganda strategies. Although the "Lost 10 Years" is a Grand National Party (GNP) election strategy, it also functions as a conservative propaganda strategy by conservative political groups and media. Thus, this study intends to compare the rhetoric of the GNP with conservative media and find any similarities between the two entities in the context of the "Lost 10 Years" propaganda strategies. This study gathered data from various conservative sources such as the GNP homepage and conservative newspapers to uncover common conservative propaganda messages. The results showed that the first-level propaganda strategies are very similar to the second-level traditional Lasswell strategies. This implies that the "Lost 10 Years" strategy benchmarked traditional propaganda strategies and the GNP won the presidential election because the effectiveness of traditional propaganda strategies was culminated with the support of the conservative media. With these research findings, the study discussed the implications of the propaganda strategies used by conservatives and future research prospects about the subject.

Sea-eels caught by fishing boat and trawl were analyzed to investigate feeding status and individual growth of sea-eels caught from the lost plastic sea-eel Pot which is estimated at the ghost fishing Average length of sea-eel caught from fishing boat and test fishing was 33.6cm, 48.9cm for trawl and 45.6cm for the lost plastic sea-eel pot, respectively. The length frequency distribution is the same as the fact that sea-eel goes to the offshore from the coastal waters according to the getting growth. Sea-eel rate having empty stomach were 5.0% for fishing boat, 4.2% for trawl and the empty stomach rate of sea-eel was the highest as 87.6% in the lost pot. Sea-eel rate feeding fish as prey were 98.7% for fishing boat, 78.8% for trawl and 63.3% for the lost pot, respectively and other preys were crustacean and cephalopod. Fatness index calculated using weight and length were 1.514 for trawl catches and 1.292 for the lost pot and the difference was 15% between trawl catches and the lost pot. There also was difference at the 5% significance level in the result of t-test of Covariance Analysis.

This paper is an attempt to examine historical drama which change rapidly in the manner of seeing history. Historical records are treated differently unlike in the field of modern history. Now the distinction between historical facts and fictions becomes no longer important. This change is affected by micro history, new cultural history, or post-modern history. History and narrative become interactive each other. In this respect they are no more historical drama. by Han Areum (director Suh Jae-hyung) represents this new trends. Of course, it doesn't suddenly pop up in 2005. It began in by Lee Yoon-Taek, was reinforced in by Kim Tae-Woong, and bloomed in . I intended to search important features of by following three. First is the interest about unimportant persons such as a maid of honor, an eunuch. In , they are the main characters. The author described much about those trivial people revealing the truth in different way of the existence. Second is the way of calling a past. In this piece, the past is not continuous. The past always appears at the stage by the present in the form of split which is imagination, recollection, revival. Third is a mixing genre. Comics, melodrama, and thrillers are all together in . This is a similar phenomenon to historical novel and movie of new trend. Strictly speaking, this piece isn't a history thriller. The accident of lost prince doesn't be treated importantly and the result isn't clear either. In this piece, detective genre is used for a symbol showing that writer pursuits the history, not the event. This represents well the characters of new historical drama because how historical facts are carefully recreated and constructed are important. It's enough to show the possibility to mix genre through comics and melodrama.
