Magnetic Field Measuring System by using Loop-type Sensor (루우프형 센서를 이용한 자장측정계)

  • This paper deals with the active magnetic field measuring system which can measure the time-varying magnetic fields generated by power installations and lightning discharges. The magnetic field measuring system consists of the loop-type magnetic field sensor and the active integrator operated by a differential amplifier. The theoretical principle and design rule of the time-varying magnetic field measuring device and the calibration apparatus are introduced. From the calibration experiments, the frequency bandwidth of the full measuring system ranges from 270 Hz to about 2.3 MHz and the response sensitivity for magentic field strength is 128 $mV/{\mu}T$, respectively, and the calculated B-field values in the center of the loop-type sensor versus the the applied current made with a region of ${\pm}3\;%$error. The actual survey experiments by using lightning impulse current and oscillating impulse current were performed, the results of comparision between the input current waveforms and the magnetic field waveforms are a good agreement with each others and their deviations are less than 0.5 %.

Closed-Loop Power Control for Code Division Multiple Access in Time-Varying Underwater Acoustic Channel (시변 수중 음향 채널에서 코드 분할 다중 접속 방식의 폐루프 전력 제어 기법)

  • Code division multiple access (CDMA) is one of the promising medium access control scheme for underwater acoustic sensor networks due to its beneficial features such as robustness against frequency-selective fading and high frequency-reuse efficiency. In this paper, we design a closed-loop power control scheme for the underwater CDMA, to adapt time-varying acoustic channel. In the proposed scheme, sink node sends to sensor nodes the associated path loss which is acquired by uplink-channel analysis based on received packets from the sensor nodes. Then, sensor nodes adjust their transmission power in an adaptive manner to time-varying underwater acoustic channel, according to the informations sent by the sink node.

  • 본 논문은 편광유지 광섬유 루프 미러를 이용한 센서 시스템의 제작과 이의 응용에 대한 것이다. 수동 검출법을 통하여 비교적 간편한 신호처리 방식을 갖는 센서 시스템을 제작하였고, Fabry-Perot 필터를 스캔하여 다중점 측정에 이용하였다. 또한 루프 미러의 온도 의존성을 이용하여 온도 센서로의 응용 가능성도 제시하였다.

  • 센서는 자연현상을 감지하는 소자로 계측 및 제어시스템의 구성요소로 이용되며, 센서를 이용 하여 Closed-loop System의 구성을 가능케 하며, 지능화된 시스템을 구현 할 수 있다. 센서는 압력, 유량, 온도, 자장, 광 등을 측정하는 물리적 센서, pH, 이온, 산소 등의 구성물을 감지하는 화학센서, 인체의 혈당량, 뇌의 상태, 냄새 등을 측정하는 바이오 센서로 대별될 수 있다. 이중 물리적 센서는 기계적 시스템에 많이 이용되며, 특히 압력, 유량센서는 자동차에 있어서 엔진의 Manifold, 엔진오일, 브레이크 오일, 타이어, 연료 등의 상태를 측정하는데 사용되고 있다. 예를 들어 1980년대에는 미국 Ford와 Motorola사가 공동으로 반도체공정 기술을 이용한 용량 형(capacitive) 압력센서를 개발하여 엔진의 컨트롤시스템에 이용하였다. 이러한 압력센서는 1988년에 15억불의 매출을 기록하였으며, 1955년에는 30억불로 늘어날 전망으로 있어 가장 많이 사용되는 센서로 각광을 받고 있다. 이글에서 압력센서의 원리 및 종류에 대하여 알아보고, 마 이크로머시닝 기술 등의 제작방법과 이의 응용에 대하여 논의하려 한다.

  • This study was intended to evaluate the feasibility of the vehicle detector using a coil sensor. For the evaluation, the research team built a test environment for the detector consisting of a oscillation circuit, data collecting circuit, data monitoring and saving circuit, etc. As the result of the frequency analysis of the detector from the test environment, it was verified for the detector using a coil sensor to generate stable frequencies. In addition, the ease of construction and management was tested by comparing the size of cutting areas, consumption of installation materials, and installation time for a traditional loop detector and the detector using a coil sensor. As a result, the installation of the detector using a coil sensor requires less size of cutting areas, consumption of installation materials, and installation time.

  • This paper presents a new loop shaping technique for design of robust optimal PID controllers in order to satisfy the performance requirements. PID controller can be designed by selecting the suitable weighting factors Q and R. This technique is developed by pushing all two zeros formed by PID controller closely to a larger pole of the second order plant. As a result, a good loop shaping is achieved in the high frequencies region on the Bode plot. For the robust optimal tuning of PID controller for second order system, a new loop shaping procedure is developed via LQR approach.

  • Virtual testing is considered a major requirement for the safety verification of autonomous driving functions. For virtual testing, both the autonomous vehicle and the driving environment should be modeled appropriately. In particular, a realistic modeling of the perception sensor system such as the one having a camera and radar is important. However, research on modeling to consistently generate realistic perception results is lacking. Therefore, this paper presents a sensor modeling method to provide realistic object detection results in a MILS (Model in the Loop Simulation) environment. First, the key parameters for modeling are defined, and the object detection characteristics of actual cameras and radar sensors are analyzed. Then, the detection characteristics of a sensor modeled in a simulation environment, based on the analysis results, are validated through a correlation coefficient analysis that considers an actual sensor.

Design and fabrication of a 300A class general-purpose current sensor (300A급 일반 산업용 전류센서의 설계 및 제작)

  • Current sensors are used widely in the fields of current control, monitoring, and measuring. They have become more popular with the increasing demand for smart grids in a power network, generation of renewable energy, electric cars, and hybrid cars. Although open loop Hall effect current sensors have merits, such as low cost, small size, and weight, they have low accuracy. This paper describes the design and fabrication of a 300A open loop current sensor that has high accuracy and temperature performance. The core of the current sensor was calculated numerically and the signal conditioning circuits were designed using circuit analysis software. The characteristics of the manufactured open loop current sensor of 300 A class was measured at currents up to 300 A. According to the test of the current sensor, the accuracy error and linearity error were 0.75% and 0.19%, respectively. When the temperature compensation was carried out with the relevant circuit, the temperature coefficients were less than $0.012%/^{\circ}C$ at temperatures between $-25^{\circ}C$ and $85^{\circ}C$.

Construction of Current Sensor Using Hall Sensor and Magnetic Core for the Electric and Hybrid Vehicle (홀소자와 자기코어를 이용한 하이브리드 및 전기자동차용 전류센서 제작)

  • A current sensor is one of important component which is used for the electrical current measurement during charge and discharge of the battery, and monitoring system of the motor controller in the electric and hybrid vehicle. In this study, we have developed an open loop type current sensor using GaAs Hall sensor and magnetic core has an air gap. The Hall sensor detect magnetic field produced by the current to be measured. The 3 mm air gap core was made by HGO electrical steel sheets after slitting, winding, annealing, molding, and cutting. Developed current sensor shows 0.03 % linearity within DC current range from -400 A to +400 A. Operating temperature range was extended to the range of $-40{\sim}105^{\circ}C$ using temperature compensating electronic circuit. To Improve frequency bandwidth limit due to the air flux of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and Hall sensor, We employed an air flux compensating loop near Hall sensor or on PCB. Frequency bandwidth of the sensor was 100 kHz when we applied sine wave current of $40A{\cdot}turn$ in the frequency range from 100 Hz to 100 kHz. For the dynamic response time measurement, 5 kHz square wave current of $40A{\cdot}turn$ was applied to the sensor. Response time was calculated time reach to 90 % of saturation value and smaller than $2{\mu}s$.
