Integration of Logistics Systems of Developing Countries into International Logistics Channels

  • Modern logistics significantly influences the globalization and internationalization processes. Logistics systems are becoming increasingly important in today's rapidly changing environment. On the other hand, the development of global economic integration, business globalization contributes to the creation and development of international logistics systems and global supply chains towards the international market. The aim of the article was to investigate the national logistics systems of developing countries in the context of their integration capabilities. The main methods used in this study are statistical analysis, index, graphical and analytical methods, methods for estimating structural dynamic shifts, comparisons. Commonly used methods of economic research, as well as statistical analysis and interstate comparisons, economic modelling (trend analysis to determine the forecast level of LPI for Ukraine), etc. were also involved. It is noted that the problem of development of logistics systems in developing countries was insufficiently covered in scientific research. The study suggests that the integration capabilities of national logistics systems are determined by the logistics performance of each country and the favourable logistics environment for integration transformations. This allowed analysing the state of the logistics systems of Poland, Bulgaria, India and Ukraine, and identifying the factors that determine it. The logistics environment of Poland, Bulgaria, India and Ukraine, as well as the factors of its formation are evaluated. The components of the logistic portrait of the country in the context of integration capabilities of the logistic system are offered. Trend analysis of LPI was carried out on the example of Ukraine, which showed positive trends in the logistics system and allowed drawing conclusions about increasing integration into international logistics channels based on its geopolitical location, improving the characteristics of the logistics environment, including customs regulation, and improving the efficiency of the national logistics system. Prospects for further research involve studies of the impact of pandemics, globalization, digitalization on logistics systems, including that of developing countries.

  • Logistics network of the enterprise is defined to determine the optimal node and link considering the production, inventory and transportation based on the demand forecasting. This study consider the optimal logistics network of A painter company which maintain the existing transportation network and plan to relocate its plants and build new distribution centers. For this, we design possible alternative scenarios and install the simulation models for analysis of each scenario. The result of simulation will help the proper logistic network and determining the size of distribution center further.

  • The article proves the relevance of developing conceptual frameworks for managing the quality assurance of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants. It is established that the fundamental difference of the logistic approach in management from traditional approaches is the allocation of a single management function of previously separated, disparate material flows, as well as economic, technological, information integration of chain links into a single system capable of effective management of these flows. It is substantiated that the functioning of the enterprise as a logistics system can be represented in the form of a triad of logistics components, namely: supply logistics, production logistics, sales logistics. Management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants is a functional component of the entire logistics system due to the quality of work and interaction of all participants in the implementation of certain activities. The quality of logistics activities will affect the level of economic potential, rationalization and optimization of all logistics flows. It is proved that the management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants involves the following main areas: the introduction of a quality system of logistics processes; development and implementation of the general strategy of quality improvement at the enterprise; internal integration; controlling. Management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of its participants requires compliance with the following requirements: systematic and comprehensive management of all flow processes; coordination of criteria and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the entire logistics system; dissemination of the use and application of information technology; ensuring partnerships and close interaction of all participants in sales networks.

  • Recently the recongnition of Logistics becomes important to enterpries as a means for improving their competition, but the Korea enterpries falls for far behind in management techniques for analyzing realities and problems in the Logistics compare to the advanced countries. Especially the function of inventory control which is most undeveloped in them should be improved in Korea. Inventory is very important in Logistics, but there exists trade-off between inventory level and customer in the service level. It is difficult to coordinate both the reduction in the inventory level and the enhancement in the service level. Its effective technique is a DRP system. In general, it deals with arborescent distribution network in which a given channel member has a single source of supply. This article aims to present a DRP system, and more a DRP system which is flexible and responsive in the multisourcing, multi-echelon distribution network. Related research issues are discussed. Finally, using a DRP system on logistics and the management performance. So we can help the physical distribution improvement of the Korean enterprises.

국내 물류기업의 효율성과 물류네트워크 내 영향력에 관한 연구 : 2자 물류기업과 3자 물류기업 비교를 중심으로 (A Study on the Efficiency of Domestic Logistics Companies and their Influence in Logistics Networks : Focusing on the comparison of second-party logistics companies and third-party logistics companies)

  • Recently, third-party logistics and second-party logistics are well known as a form of logistics service. However, there are several opinions about the effectiveness of second-party logistics and third-party logistics. In this study, the efficiency of second-party logistics companies and third-party logistics companies, which are the main providers of logistics services, was compared and the sales impact on the logistics market was measured. Efficiency was measured using DEA's CCR and BCC models. Debt and equity were used as input variables, and sales, operating profit, and net income were used as output variables. As a result of measuring the efficiency of logistics companies, the efficiency of third-party logistics companies was higher than that of second-party logistics companies in 2019 and 2020, and it had a positive effect on the rate of change in sales.

공급사슬망 설계를 위한 수리모형 수립 및 응용 (Supply Chain Network Design - a Model and its Applications)

  • Great effort has been exerted to redesign the supply chain network as a means to improve corporate competitiveness. In this study, we present a mathematical model and a solution system to help redesign corporate logistics networks. The objective of the model is to minimize total logistics costs. We applied the solution system to real problem cases. We use the model and the concept to develop decision support system that is based on C++ with the use of CPLEX callable library as a solution engine. We tested and verified the DSS for redesigning the network of a large Korean electronics company. Through various scenario analyses. we recommend to redesign their supply chain network that demonstrates the possibility of substantial logistics cost savings.

한.중.일 3국간의 물류네트워크 효과분석을 통한 효율화 방안의 고찰 (A Study of efficiency by the Logistics Network Effects among Korea-China-Japan)

  • 최근 동북아 지역의 경제 규모의 성장으로 인하여 각 국가 간 많은 교역량이 발생하고 있다. 또한 현재의 세계 경제 환경은 국가간의 교역이나 경제협력을 통하여 국가간 상호의존도가 지속적으로 높아지고 있는 실정이다. 동북아지역간은 공동시장으로서의 기능을 추구하고 있으며, 향후 지역간 경제 활동은 더욱 유기적인 관계로 발전할 것으로 보인다. 이러한 여건에서 한국의 경제가 균형적인 구조를 갖추기 위해서는 물류시설의 개선 및 운송네트워크가 점차 확대되가고 있는 중국 및 일본과의 물류네트워크 연계체계를 강화하는 것이 무엇보다 필요하다고 판단된다. 따라서 한국이 동북아 물류거점으로 발전하기 위해서는 한반도를 중심으로 하는 다양하고 효율적인 복합운송시스템을 구축하여 효율적인 네트워크 중심지로서의 역할의 정립이 중요하다고 생각된다. 따라서 본 연구는 동북아 지역의 기존의 해상운송과 새롭게 도입될 복합운송시스템 구축에 대하여 한 중 일 3국간의 물류네트워크를 시나리오별로 비용 및 시간을 분석하여 복합운송시스템의 경쟁력을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 모바일 기반 온라인 쇼핑의 급성장과 COVID-19로 인해 시작된 비대면 비즈니스의 성장은 택배와 같은 물류 서비스 수요를 폭발적인 증가를 이끌어냈다. 급격하게 성장한 수요에 대응하기 위해 대부분의 물류·유통기업들은 도심 내 풀필먼트 센터 구축을 통한 고객 서비스 수준 향상을 위해 노력하고 있다. 그러나, 높은 지가와 교통 체증 등과 같은 사회적 요인에 의해 도심 내 풀필먼트 센터를 확보하는 데 큰 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 연구에서는 향후 고속도로에 스마트톨링 서비스가 전면 확대됨에 따라 유휴부지로 전환될 요금소 부지를 공유물류센터로 전환하기 위한 후보지 선정 방안을 제시한다. 이를 위해 사회연결망 분석을 통해 각 후보지들의 중심성을 분석하였으며, 중심성 평가의 특성에 따른 결과의 해석을 위한 네트워크 구조를 거리기반과 시간기반의 두 가지 방법으로 재설계하여 평가하였다. 누적된 중요도를 기준으로 적정 후보지 군을 선택하는데 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

재활용을 고려한 역공급사슬 시뮬레이션 모델 개발 (A Development of Reverse Supply Chain Simulation Model Considering a Recycling)

  • Recently, an industrial production-distribution planning problem has been widely investigated in Supply Chain Management(SCM). One of the key issues in the current SCM research area is reverse logistics network. This study have developed a simulation model for the reverse logistics network. The simulation model analysis reverse logistics network issues such as inventory policy, manufacturing policy, transportation mode, warehouse assignment, supplier assignment. Computational experiments using commercial simulation tool ARENA show that the real problems. The model can be used to decide an appropriate production-distribution planning problem in the research area.
