Purpose - This paper investigates the causal relationship between logistics infrastructure development and the economic growth of Korea. Considering the industrial and economic structure of Korea, it is likely that logistics infrastructure is positively associated with the economic growth of the country. Design/methodology - The causal relationship between logistics infrastructure and economic development is estimated using Vector Autoregressive (VAR) and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) considering long-run equilibrium between the two factors. To this end, a dataset consisting of 7 logistics infrastructure proxies and 5 economic growth indicators covering the period of 1990-2017 is used. Findings - It was found that causality, in general, runs from logistics infrastructure development to economic growth. Specifically, the results indicate that maritime transport is positively associated with the economic growth of Korea in terms of GDP and international trade. In addition, other modes of transport also have a positive impact on either the GDP or international trade of Korea. Originality/value - While existing studies in this area are based on either regional observations or a specific mode of transport, this study presents empirical evidence on causality between logistics infrastructure and the economic growth of Korea using a more comprehensive dataset. In addition, the findings in this paper can provide valuable implications for transport infrastructure development policies.

Logistics is one of the most important factors to manage a stream of materials in economic environment. Establishing effective logistics system needs to consider some constraints which are fluctuation of materials volume, a long distance between makers and consumers, one way logistics and small quantity batch production. It is estimated that Unit Load System should be a powerful method to cope with those problems. It helps to realize the key issues which are Standardization and Logistics Pool System The Material Unification of Logistics System is able to participate in all kinds of industries including manufacturing, distribution and logistics. This system has some merits which are a long distance transportation cost down, product recovery, and treatment in the unbalance of demand and supply caused by unstable materials volume. Four strategies of Material Logistics Model are Packing Rationalization, Logistics Pool System, JIT System application and establishing effective infrastructure. The Material Unification Of Logistics System based on Unit Load System achieves efficiency of logistics and largely decreases moving cost.

In this paper, the relationship between energy consumption in the logistics industry and economic growth of Tumen River region from 1995 to 2014 is empirically analyzed by using the EKC model theory. The results show that there is a turning point in the Kuznets curve of carbon emission in TumenRiverregion. And it has the characteristic sof "invertedU" curve, which conforms to the environmental Kuznets curve hypothesis. Meanwhile it is stil lintherisingstage. According to the analysis results, it is proposed to set up the concept of low carbon logistics, optimize the energy structure, strengthen the information construction, and establish low-carbon development mechanism and so on.

본 연구는 물류기업을 대상으로 녹색물류기업 인증이 녹색물류성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하고, 그에 대한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 녹색물류와 관련된 선행연구를 통해 물류성과, 환경성과, 자원성과 및 기업성과와 같은 성과 변수를 도출하고, 녹색물류기업 인증 기준과의 영향관계를 분석하였다. 물류기업 종사자를 대상으로 녹색물류기업 인증과 녹색물류성과의 관계에 대하여 설문조사를 실시하고, 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰성분석 및 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였으며, 가설검증을 위해 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 녹색물류 목표관리는 물류성과와 환경성과에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 물류에너지 및 온실가스 산정은 물류성과, 환경성과 및 자원성과에 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 녹색물류 효과관리는 기업성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 녹색물류 전환사업은 녹색물류성과라고 할 수 있는 물류성과, 환경성과, 자원성과 및 기업성과에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하였다.

The today many companies are tilting to enjoy the dominant position in the globalization of global market. The past business management is focus on the price and quality, but many companies are doing our utmost for customer satisfaction of various needs of customers. Therefore, The efficient logistics management is a core element in the competitiveness of company that respond more quickly and effectively to market. Now, The companies are building an integrated SCM(Supply Chain Management) system that is able to manage and operate procurement, production, distribution & logistics activity. Among the IT infra, The RFID technique is received special attention for this successful SCM System, continuously it is being researched and developed. Also, they recognize RFID techniques that offer various services at supply chain flow, create value of company. This study propose implications in other industry for biz model development and direction based on RFID in many industry through case study for development of the distribution logistics information system on using RFID.

Most previous studies considering inventory models for imperfect quality assumed that defective items could be completely detected by inspection and fixed before delivery to customers. This makes it difficult to adopt their research results to practice. This study reduces the assumption of perfect inspection, and presents an inventory model considering reverse logistics caused by imperfect inspection. System dynamics model is used to describe complex and dynamic problem and to show the effect of imperfect inspection on profit by simulation. Then, this article provides a guideline for the inspection policy which provides the maximum profit.

More and more medium and small enterprises do business across the world according to generalization of online shopping mall such as eBay and Amazon. But high export and import transportation cost make weak the price competitive power of medium and small enterprises products. Then this paper deals with the development of new business model which can reduce the transportation cost for global logistics through efficiently overcoming the constraints as length, size, and weight of product. We explain this model with application for company which export the automobile parts. We can expect the transportation cost reduction by 50%.

Great effort has been exerted to redesign the supply chain network as a means to improve corporate competitiveness. In this study, we present a mathematical model and a solution system to help redesign corporate logistics networks. The objective of the model is to minimize total logistics costs. We applied the solution system to real problem cases. We use the model and the concept to develop decision support system that is based on C++ with the use of CPLEX callable library as a solution engine. We tested and verified the DSS for redesigning the network of a large Korean electronics company. Through various scenario analyses. we recommend to redesign their supply chain network that demonstrates the possibility of substantial logistics cost savings.

This research explores and develops digital transformation factors influencing the logistics service-provider sector in Thailand while also examining the impact sustainability factors associated with digital transformation. Divided into two parts, Part one of the theoretical study framework covers 21 factors relating to logistics, including drivers, objectives, implications, and success factors. The second part concerns 23 factors associated with logistics sustainability, including economic, environmental, and social aspects. This quantitative empirical research was conducted using an online questionnaire instrument, and a structural equation modeling (SEM) technique was used to test the proposed model. The findings from 545 samples collected between August and November 2020 from respondents working in logistics service-provider companies in Thailand show that digital transformation drivers and objectives seem likely to impact success factors and implications in digital transformation positively. Digital transformation success factors also positively impact logistics sustainability. In comparison, logistics sustainability has a significant impact on Thailand's logistics service-provider sector's economic, environmental, and social aspects. Lastly, this research highlights the significance of digital transformation success factors and extends the current knowledge about digital transformation factors and their potential impact on logistics sustainability.

As Global industrial structure is diversified, multinational corporations accomplished fast internationalization to introduction of new management policy by development of an IT technology. To overcome raging waves of change accident and to be secured enterprise's future, the logistics is recognized the third profit source joining in curtailment of sale enlargement, production cost. To seek cost saving or reform in logistics class that is last area of pursuit of profits within ancient city life in the fast lane from these viewpoint, importance of study that integrates and manages international logistics bases supply neck walk is emphasized. Specially, to meet on in terms of competitive power security regarding curtailment of logistics cost is available through link between logistics bases, various consumer's request, merchandise and service logistics management that supply fixed quantity as is reliable in right place at good season was embossed by point game plan of business management, and SCM efficiency anger of mortification international logistics activity importance of study that see at that dominate competitive advantage point bring. This study analyzes interrelation and presents model for integration of international logistics bases supply network with supply network habit at factor and supply chain, and supply network activity in integration of supply chain process and production. Also, it establishes following method of study to achieve study purpose for actual proof analysis for integration sequence of international logistics bases supply network. Specially, immersion of network and supply network, very high interrelation appeared by thing which is with international logistics base supply network integration. The integration of international logistics base supply network means that the enterprises which give trust and sincerity deal with market environment change positively and can decide proceeding of various cooperative work. Also, it means the possibility by necessity of cooperative relation and interdependence to continuous immersion and normative immersion, for the maintain of long business relations.
